SUPER HIGH

Over the centuries man kind has evolved, become smarter, stronger and more powerful. When they reached there full potential there was only one thing that mankind could do....evolve MORE. In the far flung future human kind has evolved into super beings. At first there was just one or two but now nearly every child born has powers. So what was a government to do? Ignore the growing powers? Not likely when you have three year old's who can burn holes in bank vault walls or turn invisible!! So suddenly all over the world there cropped up schools for supers. Each school had its own way of learning of course but year after year one particular school began to stand out above.

Super High. Where the elite of the elite were born, molded into the world's best supers. This school ran two separate programs one for super hero's and their sidekicks and one for super villains and their minions. The training program is tough, designed to whittle out the week. Day one is a obstacle course unlike any ever seen and if you can't complete it in under five minutes you don't get in. Survive day one and on day two you will be given your team, this is the team you will be with for the rest of your super days. The school work out on one day who would be best with who.

I know there are already a lot of ideas out there similar to this, but I just fancied trying to run one myself :)

Power Druidry
Power Breakdown Druidry is one of the more literally arcane powers that can appear in the world. It encompasses several varying powers into a mostly neat 'package'. Many of these powers are minor, and simply mimic technology--he can tell you when a storm will start, and give you an approximate of how long it will last, and how powerful it will be (much like any sort of Accu-weather app... he's just about 95% accurate compared to a weatherman's 60% accuracy). He can start basic fires, but he does require combustible materials (great for camping!). He is acutely aware of the passage of time, accurate to within several seconds.  He always knows the location of 'true north' (though a powerful magnet could throw him off). He can thrive in temperatures as low as -20F all the way up to 120F (above that, and heat fatigue starts to set in; below that, and he needs to be wearing more than a hoodie, jeans, and shoes).

Now, while all those are neat little Quality of Life Powers, here is the real 'magic' he can do; what actually makes him super-powered instead of just super-normal. When a fire has been started, he can control the way in which it spreads, including making it collapse in on itself, effectively snuffing out flames (though this ability is more attuned to destruction than preservation; it's still a better idea to take a fire-extinguisher to said flames). Noticeably, his control of fire can be overpowered by someone who is more specialized in that power (the problem with being a jack of all trades is that you are nowhere near as strong as the masters of one). He can bend and sway storms with intense concentration (this requires him to actually be in a completely vulnerable, meditative trance), dulling them, amplifying them, or simply shifting their locations (that last one takes a long time to work, though, as he's coaxing nature along, rather than just tyrannically demanding it do as he wishes).

The final trick he has up his sleeve is that he is able to assume what he refers to as a 'spirit form'. This form combines the benefits of a human structure with all the power, speed, and skill associated with an animal (in his case, the Eurasian Lynx, though other druids have reportedly different spirit animals). For all intents and purposes, one could think of him as being very much like a Khajiit in this form (Cathay-raht even more specifically for the diehard lore enthusiasts of that particular series).  With enough physical power to smash through standard walls and doors, claws long and sharp enough to either sink into wood (excellent climbing aid) or flay flesh off the body (gotta be careful of those), low-light vision, and an increased running speed (Max speed of 50 MPH).

He shows immense comfort in this form, but it does wreak havoc on his natural body. He can maintain the form for roughly one hour at most, and while in it, he burns through calories at about 5x the normal rate. This means that while he does gorge himself on food (an active day for him might require upwards of 4K calories), he usually comes across as sleek and slender. Additionally, he loses out on fire-controlling and environmental manipulations.

Personality Leshy is usually calm, and quiet under most circumstances, to the point that many might overlook his presence. He seems to just 'go with the flow' nine times out of ten. Because of this, he is generally considered to lack the drive or ambition to be a true Hero or Villain.  When he does choose to speak, he often sounds wise beyond his years (and mental evaluations show he has an intimidatingly high level of intellect for his age group), or a complete fool (Psyche Eval determines he's the sort to sense that others have questions but might not ask them, so he goes out of the way to do it for them, making him more of a team player. This seems to be a mundane people-reading skill, rather than anything 'super').

He becomes noticeably different when out in the wilderness, whatever that might be; mountains, forests, even just in the presence of a storm seems to shift his personality into a more energetic phase (while initially diagnosed with bi-polar type 1, it was later determined his mood was purely influenced by environmental conditions and is likely an aspect of his super-power). Consequently, heavily tainted or artificial environments seem to put him ill-at-ease, to downright snappy if the area is full of pollutants and toxins.
History Born to two retired Supers (ironically, his mother, a villain, was the Nemesis of his father, a Hero--their rivalry changed over the course of decades until they somehow mellowed each other out, and chose to 'retire' in their late twenties), whom both had a strong connection to the elements (his mother was something of a sorceress, great at manipulating and creating elements, while his father was--in essence--a werewolf), it's no surprise that he ended up with a motley bag of powers of his own.

He was raised in a very supportive environment, and had a good handful of reliable friends as he went through the normal school system--and an active childhood as he spent much time with his parents, first puzzling out what he could do, then offering him teaching on the side (making him good at juggling tasks--home work, house work, training, and maintaining a social life is hard!). 

Even though his parents had more or less mellowed out into a sort of 'neutrality' of sorts, he grew up with conflicting and contradictory teachings about morality, which ultimately resorted in his rejection of conventional morality, and creating his own, honor-based code of conduct. He pursues vendettas and Nemesis' relentlessly (much like his mother, now a CEO, used to), while on the other hand feeling tightly bound to protect and serve both his friends and the environment (like his father, now a teacher at a different academy).

Given who his parents were, and the amount of training he'd gone through prior to application, it's no surprise that he finished his physical test in exactly two minutes and one second, likely putting him in a high percentile group of qualifiers.

So this is a first draft. I realize he can be very powerful, but I did my best to try and balance it out with weaknesses and give-and-take.  Because his super power involves what is basically shape-shifting, he doesn't have a super suit (though I could go and find one for him).  Please let me know about any edits you would like to see done, Levi.

Power Breakdown User can create, shape, absorb, re-direct and otherwise manipulate electricity, a form of energy resulting from the movement of charged particles (such as electrons or protons), allowing control over electric fields, all charge carriers (Ions, Electrons, Protons, and Positrons), electronics, and electromagnetic forces. Being wet can harm her if she attempts to use her powers but if she pushes through the pain her powers can and will work. Too much built up charged energy can cause Akiko to act differently usually in a negative way as the electricity is too much for her brain. Being forced to wear insulated clothing can nullify her powers.

Personality
Brave: Akiko never lets her fear get the best of her. She has learned how to calm her mind and keep her nerves from being too rattled during stressful situations. Akiko never backs down, or runs away. It is both a good thing and a bad thing making her seem stubborn.

Loyal: Family and friends are very important to Akiko and had been something pounded into her head since she was young. It was a lesson drilled into her, family matters above all....and what are friends but an extension of family. Blood matters not in terms of family, a friend can become closer than any sibling if the person's heart is true. Friends are family. Stand up for them, take care of them, love them, cherish them, and they will give you the world. Brotherhood/Sisterhood, camaraderie sometimes these bonds when strong enough can hold tighter than any vice. Both for good and bad. 

Adventurous: Akiko loves to take risks, take on new challenges or dares, willing to enjoy life to the max regardless of mistakes that might be made. Akiko has is a very fun-loving creature and she is determined to fully embrace all life has to offer especially if it is something she has never experienced before. Excitement is the spice of life.

Mercurial: Akiko can sometimes be seen as flighty or fickle due to the nature of how her moods can/will flow from one to the other depending on the situation she is in. She isn't crazy she just gets over stuff very quickly...usually. It is possible for Akiko to have an argument with someone (loud even), have them hash it out back and forth for a long time only for it to end and 5 minutes later she is over it and her and the person she was fighting with have a new clean slate (in her mind), this does not always go well with people who are either still upset, don't understand her mind set, or are unwilling to let things go. But life is too short for Akiko to want to stay mad or sad and it takes something truly bad to cause her to be unhappy for more than a day or two.

Shameless flirt: Akiko likes attention and loves flattery (thus being very susceptible to it). If you have a silver tongue it stands to reason Akiko will enjoy the company (hopefully in more ways than one) you provide. She loves to flirt, she enjoys the back and forth, the little dance of words. She enjoys it with people that are both experienced at it and those that are of the shyer persuasion. The former is a fun game of cat and mouse that who knows ends up which is which. The latter is fun as she enjoys to pulling people out of their bubble and exploring their innermost hungers, or the sweet blush of someone she has to handle with care and tenderness to help them blossom. All in all good looking guys and girls they are a weakness.

History

Akiko was born to a poor mixed Asian-American couple that wanted nothing more than to give their daughter a better life. At a young age they did their best to teach her that hitting the books and getting a good education was the best way for her to lead a better life. They told her that they did not want her to have to work as hard as they did just so they could scrape by.

Over the years and seeing how hard it was for her parents to make sure she had everything she needed Akiko was determined to make her parents proud. At first it was easy for her to focus on her studies. It was easy not to have to worry about being social when all the kids didn't want to befriend the only asian girl with glasses and cheap clothing. It wasn't until one day of coming home crying that her father took her on his knee and told her that one day she would grow and become a beautiful young woman who would find something that she was passionate about and would lead a life that would make her think everyday in life was heaven. He would die two weeks later in an accident. The loss of her father and pretty much her mother who had to take up another job to be able to support her growing child and herself lead Akiko to grow up a little more than most. At the age of 11 she learned to cook her own dinners and to put herself to bed. It was a tad lonely but by that time middle school started looking up as puberty jump started her social life. This was also when Akiko discovered her powers and began to explore/experiment with them in secret. She had always idolized heroes and loved reading about them. Like the knights of old they were the protectors of the weak, they were the shield between the helpless and the darkness of the world. It was the budding hope within her that made her wonder about a life as a hero. But heroes needed to control their powers and so everyday while she was alone she began to test her limits and started training wanting to develop mastery over herself and her powers. Body, mind and soul would all be tested and trained with whatever information she could find on the net. Middle school is where everything changed.

All of a sudden she had people talking to her not just the occasional friendly conversation that one or two people had done that were mostly acquaintances rather than friends. No she had boys talking to her...being nice to her. It was rather flattering but it confused her as she did not understand the sudden change in their behavior. Keeping her parents in mind as well as trying to honor her dead father Akiko studied just as hard making sure to earn high grades. Akiko followed her parent's plans that is until Rachel Dare came into her life. In the middle of her 9th grade year Akiko met Rachel. By then Akiko understood that she was not a plain jane, but Rachel showed her just how beautiful she could become. Rachel taught her about make-up, taught her about kissing, taught her about boys, she taught her how to have fun.

At first her grades were fine and she could juggle this new thrilling double life but then Rachel (always the daring one) started showing her to the popular crowds' parties. Drinking. That is where Akiko started to fall. When she was with Rachel she felt invincible, beautiful and happy. She wanted to have fun, she wanted to be cool and popular and wanted to be as reckless and daring and as fun loving as Rachel was. She was absolutely amazed that this incredible young woman chose to be her friend. Arguments with her mom about her grades and her new clothing and her "friends" caused Akiko to run away to her after a bad argument where she happened to be drunk. But Rachel wouldn't be there anymore. She had fallen asleep with a cigarette and never woke from her drunken slumber once her house caught fire. It was one of the worst days of Akiko's life. Her mother knew where she had gone and when she came to pick her daughter up as the police and firemen urged everyone to stay away from the blazing inferno. It was she who comforted her crying daughter and brought her home doing her best to soothe her hurting daughter.

Rachel was gone. Her father was gone. Akiko was devastated and for a while life was dark for her. It wasn't until she was hit with the realization that her father wanted what was best for her and for her to do her best, to make her life easier than his own. That it was Rachel who wanted her to live her life to the fullest, to have fun to remember that there was more to life than studying and working. So it was then in the middle of her 11 grade year that she made a vow to honor both her parents' wishes and what she thought Rachel was trying to teach her. In honesty she wasn't sure. She never got to ask Rachel why one day she out of the blue started talking to her. She never asked why she was so wild and carefree.

She would never know. For all she knew Rachel was just a bad influence who just liked drinking and having sex and using boys. But there was more to Rachel than that, at least to Akiko there was. So she threw herself back into her studies but she didn't party like she used to. When she graduated top 5% of her class, that was for her parents and Rachel. She knew Rachel would get a kick out of the idea of a summa cum laude graduate partying and drinking with the best of them. It was for Rachel that she drank at the celebration party her peers threw. It was for her parents that she got into a good university with all her needs were paid for with grants and scholarships and a small part time job. It was for Rachel where she learned to balance her work time, study time and play time. Akiko would continue to live her life having fun but keeping her mind focused on her education and becoming worthy of being labeled a hero.
