Hey there! I’m new to the forums and have a bunch of RP ideas I’d like to try! Here are some of my cravings. I’d prefer at least a 60-40 plot-smut ratio for most of these favoring plot, but willing to alter that for the right thread and what feels natural to story progression. Also totally down for non-smut RPs.

ROAD TRIP (any pairing, multiple partners possible)

Our characters go on a cross-country (US preferably) road trip, shenanigans and romance ensue. Maybe our characters are college roommates craving escape, or just met the day before setting off on a trip on a whim. Maybe the romance is slow burn, growing as they travel from state to state, or instant and passionate, with underlying drama in their desperation. Maybe there’s paranormal elements and they’re looking into cryptid legends and weird, creepy tourist stops! Sleeping in cars, hotel rooms, and strange probably-haunted motels where (gasp, what a surprise) oh no, there’s only one bed! There’s a lot of potential for setups here, so I can have multiple threads with this plot idea, with varying levels of silly or serious.

PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS (any pairing)

A rumor is spreading across a city/small town/college campus/other place about a mysterious curse, and MC, an introvert who has a gift for sensing the supernatural, decides to investigate. YC spots MC sneaking into a place clearly off limits and decides to follow, inadvertently getting roped into the beginning of a paranormal adventure. MC tries to help spirits move on to the next life while investigating a larger mystery affecting the whole area, which maybe YC has some sort of link to, whether they know it or not. (More plot-heavy focus on this one)

ROYALTY X FORBIDDEN LOVER (any pairing, preference for F/F or M/M)

Historical fantasy style forbidden romance, with potential for worldbuilding and political intrigue. One character is royalty, the other is of a status considered unacceptable for them to love, which can be anything from a knight to a cook in the castle or child of an advisor. In any case, they're not supposed to be together because of tradition and rules, but they fall in love anyway. I don't mind playing either character, but have slight preference for the royal.

PAST LIFE LOVERS (any pairing)

In a past life, there was a couple so deeply in love they swore their souls would always find each other, shortly before meeting a tragic end. In the present day, their souls have been reincarnated into our characters, who couldn’t be more different to their past selves in personality, but when they meet, by chance or by fate, memories of their past lives begin to trickle back. Although they don’t have a great first impression of each other, our characters decide to meet up again to explore this strange phenomena. This is meant to be a very character-focused story, with the modern-day characters facing their flaws and growing from their remembrance of their past lives and their interactions with each other. We can RP both the modern day and past lives in detail, or focus on the modern with simpler past flashbacks, up to you!

OTHER CRAVINGS:

-Urban Fantasy: Stuff with modern magic, especially if technology and magic interact. I’d love to use this character of mine in an F/F or F/F/M RP or make some new OCs.
-Junji Ito-style Cosmic Horror: Our characters face an unknowable threat. Would be weird and much more plot focused.
-And They Were Roommates: Oh my god, they were roommates
-Cozy Mysteries with or without supernatural elements
-Buddy Cop/Detective with or without supernatural elements
-Superhero settings: Original preferred but can work with fandom settings.
