From one side of the galaxy to the other. A Star Wars story, M looking for F

With the release of the new film (which I still haven't seen, so no spoilers please!) and the glory that is Rogue One, I'm in the mood for a Rebellion-era story.  We're two human or near-humans making a living on the seedier side of the galaxy, skirting the crime lords and finding ourselves in one cantina after another all while avoiding the increasingly omnipresent Galactic Empire.

I'm thinking our characters have been smuggling partners for some time, comfortable with each other in the close confines of a freighter.  "Too comfortable" our fellow criminals say.

I'm looking for more of a slow build than a quick internet shag.  I want the tease, the building tension, the flirting that always leads to somewhere just shy of crossing the line.   Mal and Inara.  Han and Leia.  Jack and Elizabeth.
