Languages - don't worry about it. Not a separate Feature worth noting. Maybe language will come up in play, maybe it won't.

Put whatever makes sense under Features from the list on page 44. If anything comes up during the game that either I feel or you convince me should be a Feature of your character I'll throw it in under Unique.

Main priority is to maintain the flow of a good story while providing freedom. Mechanics are a distant second.

Also, don't know if I've mentioned this to everyone but:

Your character's objective (in the sheet) is different from cabal objective (which will be worked out in play). I'll give you multiple hooks that interest the Cabal that you guys will discuss/argue over IC. Personal objective hooks will turn up at times that may or may not be convenient to the Cabal.

EDIT: Also, I'm going through book two right now and apparently PCs can start with up to 20 hardened notches if they choose. So yeah, add up to 20 hard notches if you want during character creation. I've included this in the character template.

Meanwhile, LordRod - if you've got some reading to do, would you mind if we start the game by the end of the week? We'll find a way to introduce your character in later. Everyone has a near-final version of their character and I'm about ready as well.

Under normal gen rules, you assign one of the 5 to a fellow PC and one to the Cabal. The others can be filled in later. Nail had me just choose them, though I still have Favourite open )barring changes.)

Relationships: let's keep it simple during character generation. Define one relationship to a fellow PC and one to another character, whether you made up or I have. Those initial NPCs I mentioned will know you all to some capacity, whether or not you define that Relationship. I'll create that for you.

Alistair has Melissa, who has ties with the mob.
Ty has Dom's brother, also works for the mob.
Kythia could use either of these characters as her second relationship if she wants.
LordRod, we'll figure you out later to make your introduction to the story as seamless as possible.

Forgot to include a tag for Age as well. Updated the template again, so yeah, tell me how old your character is. Here are the summaries of the startup NPCs. I know I just said pick only two relationships, but if you want to stretch for a third, go ahead. I've incorporated Ty's character in Wulf's background. I've also taken the liberty of fleshing out Alistair's Melissa and Ty's Juan. If you guys take issue with my interpretations of your characters, shoot me a PM.

DIANE FOURNIER
Won't tell you her age but is definitely around 50. Ex-biker chick with wild stories and a jovial attitude. A fantastic bartender, seen as a mother figure by the regulars but never discusses her family. There's a rumor she has a deadbeat kid or something. Claims to see ghosts if you get her drunk enough and she will never, ever drink on the job. Has connections to anybody, if you're not too specific.

JAMIE Q
19 years old, space cadet androgyne from the Bay Area. Knows the streets like the back of hser (preferred pronouns are hse, hser, and hsim) hands. Small time crooks, bums, and broken patterns are Jamie's domain. Hse also allegedly has prophetic visions and sells psychedelic drugs. If you don't use the pronouns hse freaks out, but is generally mellow and easy to talk to.

JUAN DOMINGUEZ
27 years old. Dom's brother. Stoic, collected, and intimidating if he doesn't know you. Petty crime pro in the Chicharrones gang, or the ChiChis for short. Angling to land his big break in major organized crime. There's bigger money to be made in heists. Warehouses, mansions, banks. The people getting screwed in those places deserve to get screwed anyway. Knows machinery, goods, and gear. Alarms, guns, drugs, engines, computers, he can break it down or build it up for you.

MELISSA CRANDALL
30 years old. Live fast and die young is her gospel and she loves to spread the good word. Entropomancer. Has taken an impressionable Cuban immigrant ex-baseball player hunk under her wing. Call her up for a late night tight rope walk over the freeway, drinking games like "Don't Drink the Drain-o", or an underwater cave dive while blindfolded. Competitive nature. Fucks mob guys (no condom!!!) and has earned their respect with her nuclear warhead attitude. Is always looped into risky work and will hook her friends up if they're interested.

WULF WAGNER
46 years old, vague European accent that could be fake, looks damn fine in a suit and knows how to make a damn fine suit as well. Suits for powerful men with cash and suits for wannabes willing to trade something just as good. Overall, seems like a benevolent man. Easy to get along with and while he makes suits for mob bosses and crooked politicians alike, he doesn't welcome their company. Knows how to play their game, though. Feels kinship towards Dominique, admires her spirit. Wulf dropped hints here and there that he tampers with magick and she knows what he's called: vestimancer.

I'd like to start the game off with a prelude, with one or two posts from each of you in character, hanging out at the Dour Dandy. Get to know each other, form and name the cabal. This will also be where the characters describe the event that hooked them into the occult underground.

Your sheets will be posted together in the OOC. Last minute changes can be made during prelude but after that, it's all set in stone.
