No joke.  I considered an RWBY-ish take where the Tycherosi were all Faunus...but didn't.  Animorphs are a part of this setting.  So are Humans.  What you look like is a bit less important than what you do.   ;D  So there's no official decision on that.  Suffice to say that these are not the only catgirls in the world, or even in Doskvol.

Annoying and frequent.  Or at least annoying and frequent enough that Whispers have plenty to do.

Frequent and Annoying enough that Spiritbane charms are well available, and carrying them doesn't count towards load (how suspicious you look) because they're so ubiquitous.

Or hope the alchemist can do something about ghosts.

I can, actually. One of the Hound items (that does count for load) is Electroplasmic rounds. Electroplasm being a charged, anti-ghost chemical, basically, derived from the blood of Leviathans.

At the momen no.  I might be able to tinker something.  I'll check the alchemicals.

I'm not sure if you're still accepting new characters anyway, but maybe I should back out of this... it seems like a lot of people are interested already, and I've been busy recently. Getting into a new system seems a little too much right now.

Feel free to keep an eye on things, Cerulean!  We might have room later, and there's always the possibility of another Crew at some point if mere burglary isn't your thing.  :-)

Well, so far we have...a Hound, a Cutter, a Slide, and a Leech officially posted, and I know there's a Spider proposed (but not officially up).  Once you and Pumpkin Seeds post, we're officially full and ready to roll.

...might have to start looking in the Lurk book.  Can't have a gang of spies without a Lurk...

Alright.  I should have it done with by the time the evening is out.


EDIT: Lurks...good for equipment, decent for abilities, kind of shoehorned with starting dots when it comes to Shadows...MP?  We normally get 2 dots for free, and a dot that depends on both of our Backstory categories, right?

You get three dots from your playbook, one each from background and heritage, and two more.  So no, Lurks are not shoehorned for starting dots when it comes to Shadows: you can use that free dot to increase something to 3.

That would be Prowl, since we took Everybody Steals, which lets you increase Finesse, Prowl, or Tinker by a dot.

What I meant more was that Lurks start with Finesse 1 and Prowl 2, so unless you want to increase something you've already got, you're pretty much stuck using Tinker.  Though having Tinker can be good - isn't that what you use for locked doors and other such things?

Yes.  It makes you MUCH better at being a Thief.  And makes everybody else a little bit better at being one, too. That's kind of the point of Everybody Steals, neh?

So noted.  Dot from Crew, Dot from Background and from Heritage, and then 2 more free dots...we have the character sheet page up yet?

Also, second question - are we handling XP being doled out by the score?  Because the way the game works is that you can probably do a score in...about an hour, give or take?  So a group that sits down for 6 hours of gaming can definitely do at least 2-3 a night.

And this worries you for some reason?

XP will be handled as per the RAW unless and until I have a good reason to decide otherwise.  SO!  Pay attention to the things that will give you playbook, remember that desperate actions net you XP, and keep an eye on stuff that gives you XP for the Crew as a whole.

Okay.  So noted.  One last thing.  For Actions, XP is XP, right?  I mean that it doesn't cost MORE to get you a 3rd or 4th dot in an Action than it does to get the 1st, right?

That is correct.  Fill the XP track, get another dot for one of the four actions associated with that category.

I'll keep that in mind, thank you. Maybe I'll be able to join in the future if there's room... the game looks fun, but I'm not confident I can handle it just yet.

Actions are Prowl, Survey, Attune - Attributes are the categories - Insight, Prowess, Resolve?

That is exactly right.  You roll an Action when you want to overcome a given situation in the fiction.  You roll an Attribute when you are trying to resist the consequences of an Action.  (But you do not roll twice for the same thing: failing an Action may mean falling off a roof.  What you're rolling to Resist is how badly hurt you are when you land.)
