Howdy forumers, let's write a comic book story. I'd like to write the character of Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew); she's perpetually there in the Marvel universe but seldom used, a playful single gal who's heroically strong and tough and sticks to walls, who can zap you with bio-electricity or influence human attraction with pheromones, but who, for her own inscrutable reasons, prefers to slum it with the D-listers. The character you'd like to write and the scope of the story is something we can discuss, but here are some ideas. Street Level Villainy When she isn't hanging out with the Avengers, Jessica Drew pays the bills as a Manhattan private investigator, getting her hands dirty. I'd like to see her up against a low tier thief like Black Cat, or caught up in a misunderstanding with a vigilante hero. Supers meeting for the first time always seem to exchange punches as a first resort. Hydra Spider-Woman's mother was Viper, a leader of Marvel's nazi replacement terrorist organization. A plot by Hydra demands oodles of nameless goons and some nefarious purpose, be it crashing a superhero wedding or threatening New York with a death ray, but ultimately the story potential lies with Jessica Drew confronting, thwarting, and banging her mother, the madam of Hydra. Queen Veranke Veranke, queen of the shapeshifting alien Skrull, impersonated Jessica Drew to prepare an invasion of earth. Now it's personal, but Veranke is a difficult woman to find and more than a match for Jessica Drew's powers. Such a story might take place on Earth, hunting down Skrull as an agent of SHIELD, but I'd almost prefer something out in space, alongside the Avengers on a Skrull attack base or alien world where we have full creative control. I'd like to avoid alter ego stories, Brian Michael Bendis retcons, and the new costume. I would like to see A love/hate relationship or hero/villain dynamic Upside-down kisses, teehee!
