Rules for pictures?

Erotic stories are fun but sometimes its nice to have a visual to go along with what you are thinking. "Wait... was her character a demon or a pop star?" *shrugs* "Same difference...."

Erotic pictures are nice but we often find ourselves looking at them and wondering, "What is the context of this photo? Why is that nineteen year old girl having sex with that space pirate?"

Solution! Captioned pictures. Basically the idea is to pick pictures that you find very erotic (the subjects don't even have to be nude) and put a caption on it ranging from a line to one or two paragraphs to sort of create a story for the picture.

I would like to know what other rules (if any) I need to include about the pictures being posted.

No images of underage people or characters. This rule applies to anime/cartoons as well, with an "age ruler" that needs to be passed. Images of characters that look suspiciously underage will be removed without warning.

No photos of bestiality.

That really covers the two basics. I would suggest that the thread be tagged if it heads in a NSFW direction, but it's not necessary to do so.

What are the criteria of this 'age ruler'? Do I need to post those so that it doesn't get any members in trouble?

Well, we definitely do not allow images of children on Elliquiy, whether realistic (photos) or drawn (anime, cartoons, manga, etc.).

For other images, though, people just need to use common sense. All humans in posted images need to appear to be eighteen or older. This mainly applies to stuff like anime, not so much photo-realistic images (but it should still be kept in mind, regardless).

For example, Character X from Anime Y might be listed as twenty, but if she looks like a prepubescent girl, it will be counted as an image of an underage character and removed.

Well the no children thing totally makes sense... I was referring to the "age ruler" for the appearing to be 18 or older... I ask because while its easy to soft core porn stars because their actual age is known.... anime is strange because their characters can be so age ambiguous.

There's no hard guidelines for when an image is "okay" and when it's "underage". This thread doesn't sound like it will be people-centric or people-focused in any way (thought it may turn out that way, regardless), but a simple note that any people in images must appear to be of legal age should suffice.

I think if you look at an anime or manga or cartoon character and need to stop and ask yourself, "Hm... might this person be under 18?" Then that is your ruler. That hesitation and internal question means it might be a good idea not to put the picture up.
