My intention was to make sure that our future bard knew it wouldn’t be all-female, not to exclude you.  Sorry it came out that way and I hope you stay.

It depends on if we have to keep track of rations or not.  Goodberry is a powerful spell if we do.

The very first part of the quest will take place in the wilderness but that SHOULD only be a couple of days (In Character time) after that the character will have an opprotunity to visit towns so as far as rations go the typical starting amout you get with beginning like a backpack SHOULD be enough, while I do want to add elements of rest and recovery to the game I also don't want to have to be such a stickler for that sort of thing that it slows the game down.

Which I guess now is a good time to mention, our first quest will start out on the Sword Coast in the area outside of Neverwinter, your characters will be traveling with a wagon train of merchant goods headed to a small town.  So start thinking about a hook for how your character might get involved in that sort of thing.  I will happily provide a more detailed story hook if you want one, just let me know!


So right now I am tracking that we have

Great G - Male Class TBD

I think Dyvan and I can handle up to a group of 6 or 8 so I want to give anyone else that is interested in submitting a character a chance to do, and maybe we can get started later this week or early next week

My personal suggestion is to still have everyone buy the rations at chargen but not worry about keeping track of them.  Rest and recovery will still kick in with things like short and long rests.

Either way, hyped to start ^_^

I'm.. vaguely committed to my orc wizard and even if I changed character it would still probably be a female one. I very occasionally play male clerics and knights.

As for spells from the PHB, let's stick to the 2024 PHB since that's what we are using for classes; however, spells that are in other officially licensed sources compatible with 2024, such as Tasha's Cauldron etc are just fine, It's just more that for the PHB stuff I like to stick to 2024 vs 2014.

I know some more male characters would be welcomed, but the most important thing is that you want to play your character!

As for character backgrounds, our first quest will start out on the Sword Coast in the area outside of Neverwinter. Your characters will be traveling with a wagon train of merchant goods headed to a small town.  So if you need some hooks to tie into your background that would also tie into the story, something like one of these could help:

• You’re in the city of Neverwinter when a dwarf, and friend, Gundren Rockseeker, hires you to escort a wagon to Phandalin. Gundren has gone ahead with a warrior, Sildar Hallwinter, to attend to business in the town while you follow with the supplies. You will be paid 10 gp each by Elmina Barthen, the owner of Barthen’s Provisions in Phandalin, when you deliver the wagon safely to that trading post.
• While on business, you spot an advertisement by one named Gundren Rockseeker at your local watering hole.  He is looking for a crew to escort some provisions by wagon to a little backwater town called Phandelin.  The pay isn't insignificant.  It is 10gp, payable upon delivery of said goods, to a purveyor of goods in that town by the name of Elmina Barthen

Yes, the discord is mostly up and running, I've installed Avrae and we are still testing a few things out, like how to integrate character sheets, but it is somewhat useable. I will likely create or at least take a poll to make sure everyone is cool with using Discord!

I believe so. Id hazard a guess in that it's from the Grim Hollow setting.

Hello. I've been looking through this group and I noticed that there was a request for more frontliners. Are you still looking and would a female frontliner be okay? Also, is MageHandPress's 2024 stuff allowed?
