Interest Check for a Hogwarts Game Set in Hogwarts Legacy

Hey everyone.  So imagine my surprise when something that I had thought was dead and buried suddenly started to get some interest.  I appreciate all of it and I’m looking seriously at potentially giving this a go given all of your interest.  I’ll be giving you a more definitive update by the weekend on whether or not this is going to happen, but I did want to take a moment to thank you all regardless of the ultimate decision.

Been a hot minute, but still interested.

potentially interested. Never been a huge potter-head like a couple of my friends are. But the hogwarts legacy was genuinely a lot of fun.

I'm also a bit of a filthy casual when it comes to Harry Potter, so you are not alone.  I'd be glad to have a variety of comfort levels with the setting represented among the players.

I am going to juggle between this and my replay of Rogue Trader.

Then, make a young Abelard NPC to be my stalwart Gryffindor, who I will befriend to introduce me and smack Slytherin (Drukari) students who displease me in their genitals.

I haven't finished the game (yet) but hopefully I can peruse a wiki for whatever information I may need, since my Potter-ken is... like 18 years rusty.

I'd like to start off with a quick apology.  I had intended to do this Sunday, but the day kind of got away from me.  After some thought and consideration, I have decided that I am going to go ahead and give this a go.  So look for more information about the game and how it's going to operate to be released in the near future, possibly even later today. 

So what I would ask from those that are interested is to go ahead and give me a heads up and if you had questions, please refresh me on what they are.  I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes and thank you to everyone who expressed interest and gave me the motivation to revisit this idea.

Confirming interest, no questions from me as I intend to play a student but depending on group size wouldn’t be against a teacher role but only if there are adequate number of adults to mingle with in character.

Will be bringing in a student.  I will decide on 6th or 7th year once I get to writing them.

I too would consider a staff member in the future, but would like to get me feet under my first writing in a new time period (despite having played the game as well lol) as well as having some connections established.

Figured it would be nice to start ruminating on characters to help along on the connections front: I'm considering my 7th year, Aria Hughes, to be slightly stuffy and very ambitious student who's inclined to DADA & charms if I go Ravenclaw. (or maybe Slytherin)

I am tempted by a Hufflepuff who adores magical beast care & herbology... Although if there is wiggle room to allow an OC version of our resident herbology professor, I'll do a remake of Garlick.

And if not, I can happily play the game version of the professor instead. Juggling a few staff members to help flesh out the school is totally fine by me, too, if it'll help others wanting to play professors so it's not all on your plate, @InnocentSynn

I'll hold off on further questions until you have a chance to present your vision for this, Synn!

Ps. If anyone wants to plot a sibling pair, I'm open to that!

Yes, there will be room for smut with characters that are of the appropriate ages.

I'm always interested in Hogwart's game but will definitely need to look into this particular setting as I'm not familiar with the game.

Hm.  Was about to say that I can commit to playing a student and a faculty member, at the very least, if that makes multi-level engagement easier for folks -- I tend to write in ensembles anyway -- but upon rereading the info post, it really depends on how strict Synn and the group want that canon rule to be.  No judgment; I get why someone might want to play a canon NPC, it's just not what I'm here for.
