Could make mine just a run of the mill psychotic tbh

Nah, it's fine. They could bond over being involuntary science experiments.

It seems that a lot of you are playing prisoners.
I am then pondering to incarnate a prison guard to add to the list.

Although a bit struggling with the idea as my character somehow looks like a supermodel lol

Any feedback would be appreciated and helpful

TheGlyphstone

You could also be ship's crew if you don't want to be another guard. As I mentioned previously, we have no one currently expressing interest in the 'civilian' roles like pilot/doctor/engineer/etc. Hospital Hotties get to be supermodel gorgeous, as do Sexy Scientists and Wrench Wenches. ;D

I can see a hot guard being a continued source of frustration for a bunch of pent up prisoners...

I've submitted a draft idea for a hot librarian / tutor.  Someone who sincerely believes in education being a valid path to a better life, even in prison.

Putting that into practice on a deathworld might be even more of a challenge, admittedly.  ;D

Btw a variant of the virus could mutate to have aphrodisiacs effects lol
Just continuing this hypothetical, but would that result in a sort of perma-horny state, uncontrollable lust, or more just a heightened libido?

The virus does significantly reduce inhibitions. That could probably contribute to some uncontrollable lust.

A few new characters coming in. We're starting to get a really good mix! I'm going to post a table to the front page today, linking to all the approved characters. If I happened to miss anyone's, when I get it done, just let me know.

Hey everybody, Xavier already has a connection with Anders, but I'm open to connections with everyone, prisoner, guard, staff, etc... He's lived among enough types of people that he knows how to get by with most anyone.

Allistar “The Pilgrim” McGraw

OOC Information:
Played By:GnothiSeauton
Faceclaim: Stephen Lang
Player O/Os: Link

Character Information:
Character Name: Allistar McGraw
Role: Prisoner
Age: 67 years old
Personality: Calculated.  Fanatical.  Desolate.  All words used to describe the man by those who truly never could understand him.  A madman.  A monster.  But to those who know him?  Who believe in him?  A visionary.  A revolutionary.  Charismatic.  Devout.  Merciful.  He can be sweet and tender, friendly and compassionate, easy to talk to and laugh with.  But to those who profane God and his teachings, he has nothing but scorn and disgust for them.
Sexual role: Not Applicable.
Favourite Kinks: Allistar does not really have much of a sexual appetite.
Limits:  Pain.

Character History:

There is very little known about Allistar.  What records there might have been detailing his birth and upbringing never existed in the first place.  What is known, what little information about the man’s past, is muddied by whispers and gossip.  He was born into a luddite community, having shunned technology and all of its trappings.

It was in that community in which the young man began to rise and climb through the ranks, leading the group with his zeal towards cybernetics and genetically enhanced individuals.  Those that came before him were often just talk.  Preach and pray.  Good wishes and quiet devotion.  That would not do, not in Allistar’s eyes, not in the new revolution he was leading and preparing to devote his life and entirety towards.

The Church of the Light began to inflict a series of targetted attacks against cybernetic clinics and labs, killing innocents in the name of the one true God.  Those that were not made in his image were damned in the eyes of the Church, in the eyes of Allistar.  The countless people abducted by the Church often faced excruciating torture and penance in order to become pure and made in his image.

With his capture, the leader of the Church of the Light was subjected to a public and controversial trial.  Not one of the counts was disputed, and he willingly and openly confessed his crimes, though contested that it was not the laws of men and machines that would ultimately judge him, but God and God’s Law that he would be judged by in the end.

Relevant skills:

Skilled Medical Technician - He’s not an expert by any means, but knows his way around human anatomy in a way that many might not.

Knowledgeable about Weaponry - He’s been in a few fire fights to know a thing or two about how to defend himself.

Charismatic - As the leader of the Church of the Light, he’s no stranger to being in front of a crowd of people and being a leader of people.

Character motivation:

Destruction of non-Humans and cybernetically enhanced individuals.  A technological-free society.

Extras:
Likes: The Bible.  Quiet time.  Hunting.  Fishing.  Reading.  Brandy.
Dislikes: Technology.  Loud music.
Sexual role: Not Applicable.
Favourite Kinks: Very vanilla kind of guy.
Limits:  Anything too perverse or taboo.  Pain.
Connections: Open to any.
Cybernetic Implants/Genetic Enhancements: “Hahaha…” - Allistar.

I am hesitant between the pilot or nurse hottie supermodel who’s forced to go military style without the proper skills.
Prolly a vanilla/subbie one to be turned into a sexdoll?

Also to continue on the aphrodisiac property of the virus, would tentacle monsters genetically created be present on the planet?

I'd say go pilot - we already have a nurse. That said, can't have too many medics, right?

Probably no tentacle monsters, no. When I said bioengineered animals, I meant stuff that has existed and since gone extinct. And something that could exist in a tropical or sub-tropical environment. In a few cases, they'll be a bit bigger and more aggressive, but they'd still be based on something that's existed before. And to further clarify, my intent wasn't to create Jurassic Park in space (although, I do admit I took some inspiration from that). So, probably no full-on dinosaurs or anything. But there will be lots of big mammals, reptiles, birds, etc. Stuff that's gone extinct within the past million years or so, plus species that are still around: various primates, tigers, jaguars, crocodiles, big snakes, venomous snakes, lots of insects, etc.

Also, I have the table up on the front page. So far, I've only included approved characters who've also posted their sheets to the recruitment thread. There are a couple others still coming in, and then two more (Grimm and Ian) who are tentatively approved, but the authors said they still plan to tinker a bit; none of those are included. Everyone else should be there, though, and if I missed something or made a mistake, let me know!

GIA GRAYSON

OOC Information:
Played By:FlowerMagnolia
Faceclaim: Nina Hoss
Player O/Os: O/Os

Character Information:
Character Name: Gia Grayson
Role: Prisoner
Age: 39
Personality: Gia is a woman of few words, she prefers actions. She is practical and thinks of herself first. Selfish, corrupt and humourful.
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual

Character History:

Gia grew up in a relatively remote planet, where the laws of human societies did not necessarily play the biggest role. Surviving from one day to the other was the biggest issue for everyone, even for little kids who did not get to choose their path. Those that owned farms or some sort of trade had to sell their goods for them lowest prices imaginable. Gia did not grow up on a farm, or in a small shop. She was the daughter of Sandra Grayson, the head of the illegal human trafficking system in space.

At a fairly young age, 16, Gia learned the ropes of human trafficking and how to keep the biggest share for herself. As her mother always preached, “Remember: no one cares about you in this galaxy. You only need to care about yourself.” Thus, Gia did as she was told and found that she was incredibly good at lying to people’s faces without flinching. Her workers did as she ordered, no one questioned her. She possibly trafficked five hundred women and men over the course of ten years throughout the galaxy. During her last job, a slip in correspondence has caused an issue with the officials. Her message could be tracked, and Gia was finally found and seized. Her crimes? Kidnapping, human trafficking and disregard of human rights (e.g. treatment of her ‘goods’).

Relevant skills:

Manipulation – Tough Physique – Human Interactions – Excellent knowledge of communication systems

Character motivation:

Keeping her wealth standards high. Not losing her face. Making money wherever she can. Perdition could just be another centre for her schemes…

Extras:
Likes: Alcohol, cigarettes, long nights, silence, music
Dislikes: Stress, poverty, simple lives, minimalism, dance
Sexual role: Switch
Favourite Kinks: Exhibitionism – Oral Sex – Bondage – Humiliation – Rough Sex – Spankings – Biting – Branding
Limits:  Scat
Connections: None

And my lovely Gia needs connections as well! jumps in excitement

shengami

@Peachy - thanks for the hard work.

@Flower - Well, I've made connections with most everyone. As the resident smuggler aboard ship, Gia might know him as a fix for her vices. They also might respect one another as something of rivals. They are in parallel businesses of sorts. Though Anders would consider human trafficking despicable, he might respect her ingenuity in getting things past check points. Haha. Hell, with how long her career has been, and if she ever dabbled in smuggling other things, they might have worked together before she got caught.
Am I on the hunt for a story? - Not really...

Genuinely interested in this, yet my plate these days is bordering on full. Will be watching how this grows (mostly because I'm still sitting on the fence alongside being excited), but for curiosity's sake, I wonder what gaps in the current composition need filling. There was talk of implants and cybernetics earlier that I skimmed through, though so far I've seen most of it attributed to military applications. I could see things like doctors having career-relevant technology at their fingertips in many ways, if not literally, and I imagine in this setting that engineers/mechanics/etc. who are able to build, salvage, repair & maintain complicated equipment that other people want or need would become very valuable.

Well, I won't try to tempt you into taking on more than you can handle, but I'd love to have you join up if you can manage it! As to your question, there are a couple more character sheets still coming in. When they do, I'll get everything linked on the front page, and then it'll be easier to see what we have along with what's needed. That said, I think we're actually starting to round things out pretty well. Maybe some more medical people, because you can't have too many of those. More tech people, engineers, mechanics, etc. would be good too. Maybe some outdoorsy type people? Rangers or something. I dunno. These are just some ideas.

Outcast

Helena Montfort

OOC Information:
Played By: Outcast
Faceclaim: Aline Mineiro
Player O/Os: Link

Character Information:
Character Name: Helena Montfort
Role: Personnel: Prison librarian and educator
Age: 58 (looks ~30)
Personality: Nerdy, optimistic, hard-working.  Tries to be brave.  At times overly intellectual.
Sexual Orientation: Lesbian (with long experience of dealing with excited men in her prior role)

Character History:
* Slum kid who thought that the only well-paid jobs open to poor people were in crime or entertainment.  She couldn't sing very well... but she could dance.
* Many others had the same sort of idea, and she wound up working in seedy clubs rather than on-stage with global stars.  Still, she was good enough (and smart enough) to learn about her art, her bosses, and her customers.
* Once she saved up enough money, she sought enhancement... but her first investment (unlike most of her peers) was in unseen benefits: she paid to become more resistant to falls, trips, over-extensions, and the like, so that she could work better and longer with fewer breaks for injury.
* Unfortunately, when a police raid on the criminally-owned club she worked in went awry - with officers and bystanders seriously injured - the prosecutors opted to charge everyone they could.  As an employee with 'combat-related enhancements' who had been caught up in the violence, she wound up in prison... if only for a few years, given the lack of clear evidence against her.
* While inside, Helena was drawn into the novel world of academic learning, courtesy of a rather inspirational librarian who managed to persuade her that she could aspire to change her life.  By the time she was released on parole, she had gained her first formal qualifications - and had letters of recommendation to community colleges so that she could take things further.
* For the next couple of decades, dancing paid the bills while Helena studied where and when she could.  She began working as a volunteer with prisoners... and a few years ago won full-time formal employment in the prison service.
* She has continued studying - including practical topics, most notably by picking up first aid certification while also taking the mandatory self defence classes very seriously - and is presently working on a doctorate (examining the creation of communities and systems of social identification in artificial environments, such as long-term space travel or incarceration), but hopes that she can manage to inspire at least a couple of inmates in the same way that she herself was inspired.

Relevant skills:
Born-Again Nerd:  Though she only came to it as an adult, Helena is a committed bibliophile and all-around geek.  She knows a little about a lot - though most of it is irrelevant to what most people might regard as reality.
Dancer:  For most of her life, Helena made her living dancing in clubs - rarely of the respectable kind.  She has the fitness and coordination provided by long-term work in the gym and on-stage.
Ex-Con Made Good:  Though it was only a shortish stint in medium security, her time in prison gave Helena some insights that books could not have done - as well as her fresh start in life.
First Aid:  Building on practical knowledge of her own and colleagues' injuries across many years, Helena has received formal training as a first-aider to help with her role aboard the prison ship.  She's no paramedic, but knows quite a lot about bandages, strapping, splints, and stitching.
Self-Defence:  Though not remotely an expert, Helena has learned enough to surprise people who assume she's simply a push-over.  Street-smart dirty tricks from her youth have now been supplemented with a couple of formal courses from her employers.
Tutor:  Having benefited from an unexpected opportunity to receive an education, Helena's keen to provide the same chance to others who feel similarly down-and-out.  She has now been trained to provide varying degrees of lesson to interested adults, with the added insight gained from her own experiences.

Character motivation:

Learn, build, and try to make things better.  Help people to have a second chance if they want one.

Extras:
Likes: Books, dancing (for fun rather than profit), healthy exercise, peace and quiet, managing to think, intelligent conversation, learning and discovery, people helping each other.
Dislikes: Bullying, thoughtlessness, loss of knowledge or beauty.
Sexual role: Switch
Favourite Kinks: Pretty and / or athletic women in general.  Anal, being admired, exhibitionism, kissing and cuddling, spanking.
Limits:  Bodily waste, torture (emotional or physical).  Others that aren't coming to mind.
Connections:
* Gia: it's not clear how much she likes a library, per se... but she certainly seems to appreciate somewhere quiet to relax in.  That counts for quite a lot, on this ship!
* Sasha: our very own prison legend!  Also someone with her very own section in the security briefings.  At times, quite fun to have around.  Much of the rest, decidedly perturbing.
* Xavier: one of my self-defence tutors, a fellow eclectic bibliophile, and a supporter of my efforts to promote training and education among staff as well as inmates.  Very much a valued colleague!
Cybernetic Implants/Genetic Enhancements: Minor reinforcement to muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints and bones: enhanced resistance to impact, over-extension, etc.  Datajack for neutral interface with suitable systems (at base of skull, generally hidden under hair).
