Shadowrun 5, Simrigs and BTLs (NC/EX)

I have a few thoughts for characters, after having filtered out Snowdrop's Face(adept) and RSFAlex's Technomancer:

1) Mage specializing in summoning, but not binding, spirits, with a side of being a Face.  Historically, she has provided simsense intel (with the cranial bomb code in escrow to keep the job on the up-and-up), and has shared simsense that gives some idea of what it's like to be a mage.  At GMs discretion, and assuming it doesn't push any boundaries for other players, coming from a variant of Christian Theurgy that isn't as associated with Catholicism - mostly as a reason for putting together an alternate tradition that still allows her to summon angelic figures, because I watch too much weebery.

2) A phys-adept brawler who got brought down (because you can't punch stick-n-shocks) and has a new ... employer.

In any event, I'm a big fan of revealing and impractical clothing, no clothing, exhibitionism, gangbangs, and the subject learning that she really digs being used like this.  I lean more towards confidently nude female than embarrassed.

I'm on the discord, and can be reached there, but I will make an effort to maintain post-rate.  I tend to work long hours that are physically and mentally intense - if that gets in the way, I will make an effort to inform you.

Any thoughts on the character you would want to play?

I'm leaning mostly towards a heavily augmented streetsam who's in deep debt after she borrowed the nuyen she needed for the surgery from unsavory people. Naive enough to think she could just 'ware and become the hot new runner and easily pay it off. Of course it didn't work out like that, and now she's debted up to her eyeballs and forced to agree to whatever runs (or whatever really) the current owner of her debt requires. I like the idea of someone who could rip any non-augmented human apart with her bare hands being hobbled to the point of servitude. Despite the situation she'd still be eager, mostly as a way to hide the shame and powerlessness she feels. Likely still a little naive despite everything. Her augments could also be less than perfect quality, and leading to it shorting out at inopportune times. Glory pic inspiration from shadowrun dragonfall. Same boat as most in that christmas has me mostly busy, can start any specific elements of chargen if required though. Feel free to PM any specific questions too.

That said im pretty flexible in terms of rpg party balance, if the samurai role turns out to be crowded. I've also got an idea for a traditional elf infiltrator who started slumming it as a runner. Can form the idea out more if you need.

Hikari Klienens, the Radiant Ronin

   Jenna's ethnically blended, well to do family of Evo citizens did not have high expectations of their daughter.  Jeremy Klienens was very pleased to have a beautiful Japanese elf--Hitomi--for his trophy wife.  He wanted his daughter Hikari to have the same comfortable life, married to a rich company man who would pamper her.  Her elder brother--Tom--was a chip off the old block.  Her younger brother--Jon--was a bit more of a rebel. 
   Hikari was just pure wild child.  She was awakened, and powerful, but didn't do too well in school.  She studied kenjutsu under a shinto tradition mystic adept named Motoyshi Tarou.  It was swordsmanship that truly interested her.  One of the few spells she truly mastered was what she called her Aura Blade.  It was like a mana bolt she could hold in her hand in the form of a katana. 
   The more her parents tried to get her to be safe and normal the more they pushed her away.  Her studies bored her.  Though beautiful, stylish, and charming, the debutante life bored her and her studies were uninteresting.  She liked challenges!  Duels, fights, races across buildings, races on bikes!  She kind of craved the edge augmentation gave her opponents, but resisted the temptation because she knew what it would do to her magic.
   Hikari ran away for the first time at 15.  She ran with a wiz kid gang using her signature spell--she called it Aura Blade--to fight duels and hunt minor bounties--especially devil rats and ghouls.  Her parents brought her back that time, and again a year and a half later. 
   At Ninteen, Hikari stormed out, and this time her parents couldn't bring her back.  Biker, duelist, parkour runner, rogue, she put together the identity of The Radiant Ronin--a body pierced elf girl who's died hair and lipstick always match, but move through the colors of the rainbow from day to day.
   With minor augmentations forced on her, The Radiant Ronin has started researching carefully to try and find out how far she can augment without loosing more magical strength.

I'm loving all of your characters! Here's where I'm at right now... I hope I haven't messed everything up, character creation is every bit as much of a pain in the butt as I remembered, hah!




Stella Sapphire was born as Susanne Richmond to a wealthy and affluent couple of EVO executives. She was a beautiful elf girl with luscious blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes, and an unmitigated passion for music and dance. She would sing and dance all day, every day, whenever allowed... and she sung well. A little bit *too* well, in fact. When she reached puberty, it became cleare Susanne had the natural gift of being awakened -- her singing and gymnastic talent was greatly boosted by her adept powers.

Susanne's parents loved and pampered their child, intending to prepare her for a corporate life in their footsteps; but they also believed in the value of freedom and learning to express yourself. Thus, when it came time for Susanne to enter college, her parents decided it was time for her to live on her own. They sponsored her an apartment in a rather high-end area of Seattle and expected Susanne to study hard and gain lots of new experiences.

And that's when Susanne was "scouted".

Her benefactor noticed her dancing and singing at a club. He called Susanne in for an audition, which turned out to be far less seedy than expected; and afterwards, the man promised to make her a star. All it would take was some coaching, a lot of training, and perhaps a little bit of bioware to "bring her talents to an even greater level" -- all on him, and he would give her a chance to perform at his own nightclub every week -- and give it a year or two, and she would be starring in Hollywood trids, mark his words!

Obviously it was an offer that should have rang all the alarm bells in the back of her head. And it did. But it was also the chance for all her fondest dreams to be realized. She couldn't just live as the archetypal good girl forever, right?

To his credit, the man did everything he promised. He had her fitted with some extremely useful ware -- a Vocal Range Enhancer to make her beautiful voice even more captivating, Tailored Pheromones to make sure she could capture the attention of everyone when she performed, and an implanted comlink to boot -- and he did train and heavily promote her as Stella Sapphire, the newest and hottest talent in the Seattle nightclub scene.

Of course, unbeknownst to Stella, during the same operation she had received a number of 'ware she had never asked for, and was blissfully unaware even existed. Not only was she fitted with a cranial bomb and a simrig, but her most sensitive parts (nipples and vag, for you prudes out there) had underwent a careful Sensitive Skin operation... to make sure that when her benefactor needed her to react to certain touches, the reaction would be as desired.

For now, though, Stella was loving her adventure. Partying under a fake SIN, spending nights singing and dancing at nightclubs, hanging out with all kinds of people (she loved to hang with shadowrunners -- they were so cool and exciting, and Stella could almost imagine she was one of them!), and seeing all the cool and fun sides of Seattle's underbelly, something her parents would never show her -- she loved every bit of it! And in the six months she had been performing so far, Stella had already built herself a good amount of fame and a real fanbase in Seattle's nightlife scene. Hollywood when?

Of course, in reality, it was all just a rich priviliged girl's "adventure". While the cool people she danced for and partied with had to go scrapping a living off the streets, she would ride a cab back to her comfortable, safe apartment, living off of the allowances she got from her parents, not a worry in the world. As much as Stella loved now being a part of this world, at the end of the day, she wasn't truly in it.

Not until her "benefactor" would truly start reaping the rewards from this young hot startlet he had built for his uses.

So the idea is, she can talk and sneak and jump and climb (and sing and dance and do the most impressive splits you've ever seen)... but she can't exactly pick any locks or hack any systems or anything, so I hope she'll be somewhat useful, hah! If nothing else, you can always have her strip and provide distraction, I guess...?

Nadia Night never worked for anything she had; it was all purchase and favors. If that sounds like a bad rep to be cultivating, you didn't grow up emerging in the literal shadow of a large MCT enclave with two paranoid ex-Otaku parents (one re-emerged) and their own swords over their necks. Somehow, the parting advice of "live unlike" lead to a kind of contradictory assumed persona. Money (or the mysterious 'favors') were almost everything for this shabby young street person/proto-runner. The grudge was real enough that though the act never quite really matured, it probably helped sell at least a few ideas that people got in their heads about "Nadia Night" and her doings. The first time she had to abandon things, Kiddo (named for the heroine of her parent's favorite schlocky trid action movie remake) counted among her favorite big scores  a fake repeater drone and a nice van, by the standards she was raised in.

Turned out that some people really went too far in their persuit of insurance fraud. Still, she always thought that bouncing back, slightly different look and some 'upgraded' 'ware sold things. When biosculpting became a widerspread thing, Kiddo lept on it to 'sell' the persona of Nadia Night, and certainly not for any other kind of safety. Funnily, it wasn't the shady, possibly Yak run biosculptors that got her into trouble. It was the 'reopening' of a chopshop by what she thought were good and skilled chop-shoppers. If not for the 'accident', Kiddo is sure that the illusion of Nadia Night and her crew would probably be entirely intact. Things had to get out, but thankfully the spread seems to be (mostly) contained to her current group of ... chummers and associates. Less fortunately, that seems to include the effects if not the specifics of her current predicament.

And that has lead to her current situation, far less free than she'd ever want, but also not experimented on. So there's something to be ... not angry about. At least when she's in control. The feeling of getting memories added in abstract is just another thing makes her want to stay in control, but the risk of burning her brain out and the frankly unnerving way that the thought and memory patterns of the more often available (and sometimes run-necessary) BTL chips that she goes through like candy demand a lot of down time to mentally prepare for (in her opinion).

Perhaps because she doesn't want to let on her worries about mental degeneration (one 'advantage' of the Flashback System is being able to perfectly relive the past for 'comparison') or show the extent of her vulnerability, Kiddo has become rasher and more willing to do stuff other than her usual semi-back-seated hacking to get money. She's also downplaying the persona of Nadia Night, but if that's because of desperation or because she assumes that the ones she's working with know 'enough' is unclear.

And yes, this means that her real first name would probably be Beatrix. But it might not. Parents were strange folk.

First a note or three. For the fake SIN her 'job' is that of cheap data courier. Does that look like a good set of licenses? The hard nanohives are attached to the nanoswarms that have their same levels. The rating 2 hive has Markers and Taggants as its options. I also did the nano-stuff at max possible cost.

Now, to address the rest of the potential team, what do you want/feel I should do with the beginning qualities? Maximum decker replacement stuff or start with a Stream. I'm asking because it would definitely affect everyone else. Full decker replacement would probably be One with the Matrix (8 pts), a Better on the Net (firewall or Sleaze), Focused Concentration, and probably an extra Complex Form and the Oracle or Guardian Paragon.

If I go with a stream it's probably Cyberadept to recover Resonance and do some funny nano-shenanigans (in which case some karma goes to more nuyen) or Technoshaman so that the sprite wrangling goes better. And I can eventually burn resources to get us a proper intrusion decker. Doing it anywhere near start is just asking for trouble and physical drain.

Stacy Scott knew the first time she ran a BTL from a female perspective that she was supposed to be a woman. She was even more assured after her first porno. She worked hard at coming up with a plan on how to achieve the change she needed, working side gigs thru high school and doing courier work for a variety of people to get up the money to start her change.

Shady deals done in pursuit of her goals and to help her cope with her growing BTL addiction that she used to cope tilll she found a way to get what she wanted. The agent offered her everything she wanted, a bodysculpt/sex change, ware and a job as a simsense actress. It was a dream come true to her.

But it wasn't. 'Stacy Scott' didn't exist till she was decanted from a biotank after extensive physical and mental reconditioning at the hands of her 'Agent' who caught her investigating him. Only then she was Scott Stacy, independent journalist.

Had a rough idea and wanted to put it up before I spend 7 hours driving back to Jax.
