Quite a team forming. I'll let this run for a few days, then start.

Callie Del Noire

Would you like actual character sheets in addition to what we’ve done?

2e gets rather interesting in how you can build your characters. Pretty sure I'm taking Nonoti down the Storm Druid Order so bad weather incoming. Which could be rather... interesting.

@pdragon Aye the half height of the rest shortstacks running about is a pretty amusing image.

Lets see though connection wise...

Kieri This one's a bit of a mixed bucket as Nonoti speaks only common and halfling (Boosting Int what's that? :D  ) so communication will have been very rough at the start. Especially since Kieri would be quite a bit stronger then her and medicine doesn't always feel the nicest. But hey! Shorties gotta stick together since the taller folk would just step on them.

Azura The Mystic Seer would be a toss up as on one hand she doesn't really see the future and on the other it's a circus not a grand circle. That said she'd have no qualms with helping the mystic feel of Azura's act although that would be fairly limited (Arcane list has the best cantrips to play at mysticism). And she's not above dragging tall folk in to help deal with troublesome beasts and one with a light touch would be most useful. "While I distract the bear you slip in and yank that foot long splinter out his paw. Then run."

Karlata This could be interesting, as a scholar wizard and a storm druid sounds like the start of a joke that winds up with burned down bars. Free time being a rare thing in a circus it wouldn't be often but I could see her popping in on Karlata to talk magic. Sorta maybe. "Whatcha staring at books for? There's a big storm 'bout to hit so lets go dance! Surely the sky fire will whisper secrets to you this time!"

Davian This one, broken leg aside is probably the one under Nonoti's care the most as being an aerialist is straining even without equipment failures. And probably one of the ones to here her frequent complaint about being trained to heal animals not people.

I could see Kieri developing a bit of a sisterly, protective instinct towards the only member of the group who was smaller than her. Though maybe Nonoti wouldn't be so thrilled at what a goblin might consider to be sisterly behaviour. Given that the only person who speaks Goblin is the one that's using it to bark orders, I doubt that poses all that much of an obstacle, really. Eventually, Kieri does learn Common as well.

Hexed

Oh aye Kieri learns common eventually. I just meant when Kieri just arrived things might have been a touch dicy as this smaller, softer, weaker not-goblin pokes/prods/rubs stuff in wounds possibly with the assistance of the one that does speak goblin. Although to be honest the ringmaster left behind sounds like the sort of pain in the ass to drag off the translator for something else when the medic's dealing with open wounds.

protective big sister huh? Could be interesting. And amusing as it occurs to me that with the main circus having been in the city not one of the crew may have seen Nonoti truly lash out at a foe or do anything really impressive as most of the magic she would have used would either be healing or minor effects for a show. Granted level one so cantrips, but from the looks of it the primal spell list is very good for large scale effects.

Callie Del Noire

Well Azura has detect magic (due to the background) and an Arcane Tattoo (due to her heritage, being from New Thassalon)

I’ll be getting the whole tattoo spell chain so over time Azura will have more and more tattoos just appearing on her. :D

c0i9z

Well, when Kieri arrived, she didn't have the concept of non-goblin humanoids. To her, everyone was just a really big, weird-looking goblin. Except Nonoti, who's just a weird-looking goblin. But, as unpleasant as it can be, it's not like the concept of healers is completely foreign to her. But yeah, I expect that things would have been rough with everyone at the start.

Well now that's quite interesting. And teach me to forget to check the background. :D   I do find it funny that in 2e the tattoo is a feat and doesn't seem to have to be uncovered to use like in 1e.

Arrival via cage would probably make any visit foul no matter the language difficulties. And true about goblin healers, although coming from 1e I'm having trouble seeing a goblin healer understanding that you clean the wound before wrapping it and that mud off the ground isn't for coating wounds to make them heal better. ^^

yeah, going back and rereading goblin entry they've really changed between versions. In some ways at least.

It would seem strange to me that all goblin cultures are the same everywhere anyway. Why must humans get to be the only one to have varied cultures?

Callie Del Noire

From the way the Pathfinder Society did it.. there were a bunch of tribes on the edge of where the Whispering Tyrant’s forces appeared. They helped the opposition get free.

That and the goblins of Absalon are more... cultured and a few groups of converted Goblins who follow the dawn flower (fire goddess... go figure)

Hexed

I think it's mostly cause in 1e goblins were the minor villian monster for the longest time. Sorta chaotic mockery of the barbarian tribes via small, insane monsters that you usually stop encountering half way through an AP's first book.

But people have a habit of wanting to play the monsters soo things changed. :D

Actually in society play we ran into some seriously nasty gobbo s.. my favorite was one o the early interactive specials.. the 7-8 tier. A young adult black dragon and 3 goblins..

It was so hard not to laugh.. they (the players) go ‘The dragon is the threat.. kill it.. “ two rounds later.. they turn around.. no Gobbos to be seen.. ALL of them were Assassins.. it was. A terrifying encounter

SINless

Name: Janusz Hrathorn
Ancestry: Human
Heritage: (if decided upon already) versatile
Gender and/or gender expression: Male (cis)
Sexuality: Bisexual
Age (min 16) 22
Background:(if decided upon) Warrior
Class: Cleric (warpriest) (Shelyn)
Height and weight: 6'4"
Physical appearance: 211Lbs
Short backstory: Janusz was orphaned as a child during the war in Brevoy. Taken in by the church of Shelyn, he was raised to be a priest. As he grew his physical posture and skill in combat made the church elders place him as a bodyguard to one of their emissaries. On one of their trips to the isle of Korthos, he visited mistress dusklight's circus. Enamoured by the performers and their way of life, he requested to be allowed to stay, and his master allowed it, claiming a vision of Shelyn had confirmed Janusz purpose. He joined the circus as a barker and a guard. When a group of performers decided to leave, a dream convinced him it was his place to join them. He followed them, and joined the circus of wayward wonders as a cashier and guard. He also tends to sick and injured performers.

lillisa

Ok. Sorry, been very busy, so it took me two days longer than expected. I'll be closing recruitment now. Guess Sinless was in luck.

So I have:
Kieri the goblin barbarian
Azura the half elf rogue
Karla the human wizard
Nonoti the halfling rogue
Davian the Elf (human?) Monk
Janusz the human priest

I'll start an OoC thread to discuss builds and ideas. I'll post a link here once I'm done. Then I'll start working on the IC thread. We'll also use the OoC thread to discuss expectations and limits. Personally I have very few, so I'll be taking my cues from you folks.
