Guilty... probably? Though I haven't been in a 10 foot pool that I can remember, I can hold my breath from one (long) side to the other and dive a six foot pool for long enough to pick up several toys, so I think that is long enough.

The next poster is going to take a nap today.

Realistically, probably guilty, but I don't want to. Because anytime I take a nap it messes up my sleep cycle, and I need my sleep cycle to be regular at this point.

Always guilty. I love heat so intense that it makes my face tingle and my eyeballs vibrate in their sockets. But I've stopped asking for high heat at most restaurants, because it's rare that a restaurant actually makes food that's spicy enough to affect me, and they may smother the flavors in an attempt to create that spice level. If I know the restaurant CAN make it hot enough to affect me, than I'm not afraid to ask for the highest heat, and even to tell the kitchen to "bring it on."

Oh lord, yes, I absolutely adore spicy food.

German food is hearty and filling, but spices are things we know of legends and myths.

I have since grown to be a huge fan of spicy food. I really can have it in any combination.

Guilty, and vice-versa. It's hard to get intonation and nuance in the writing medium. I try not to dole out either over the internet too much, especially not insults, since what would be light, even joking remarks in a face to face conversation can cut to the bone through writing.

TNP has written, but not sent, an extremely rude e-mail to a boss or co-worker in the last month.

The Tea

On my current project I am the only person with a company vehicle. At the moment things are still in the mobilization phase and we do not yet have a field office site and the location we are getting is about 2K from the train station. Right now I park the truck at another site, also about 2KM from the station.

My job is as a Site Safety and Health Officer. But, since I am the only one with a vehicle I get asked to escort our workers from our off base (military contractor) office to the site (about 2K). So I have to walk 2K to get the truck, drive through crazy morning traffic, then escort back through traffic 2K to the site. It is not one of my duties but I’m willing to do it to help the team.

Sometimes the company lets workers bring the car home. I asked for permission. I even have space to park it for free. The said no because they want to be fair and I only live 7KM away. But they are willing to get me a parking card to put it coin parking outside the gate.

I know for a fact that at least one other person who lives even closer than me got permission and having to find parking after work doesn’t really help me. Plus it  doesn’t make any sense financially to pay 30,000¥+ (over $300)/month for parking.

I replied telling them that their decision didn’t make sense and that it was silly for a company to want to waste money. I told them if they wouldn’t let me take the car home then I would give it to someone else along with the extra responsibilities. Which won’t work as no one else has a license.

Still waiting for their reply.

That is quite a story, lol. Checks out though, companies are DUMB.

Not guilty on a technicality. I wasn't technically fired, I have never been fired, I did strategically quit after giving my boss an earful. I probably would have been fired if I had stayed because they were obviously gearing up for it.

 So, I had been in my position for a few years and was considered the Go-To person for just about anything in the office. They had a high turnover rate because company was toxic and rife with bull-snookie(see previous comment of companies being dumb), but whatever. I'm chill, stayed out of the drama, and just did my job. Clients loved me, other staff came to me for advice, people outside my site liked my work even when they didn't know me, very few errors and report changes, that kind of thing.

Well, my boss was very insecure about me, IMO. I had been there longer than she had (literally longer than everyone), had trained her when she first started, and it was kinda obvious once she got promoted that she didn't like that I was the go-to person instead of her, and acted like I was gunning for her job. Like, she thought staff should go to her with questions- but she was hardly ever in the office (even got in trouble for going to a comedy show on company time), and a lot of her answers were wrong when people did ask for her help. The only reason she was promoted over me was because she had one degree higher than I did (but I also didn't want the job, it was a lot of stress and bull, I was happy in my little middle position).

She started giving me problems: refused to give me more clients, cut my office hours and then penalized me for not being in the office, when there was an opening for a lateral position that I had held before (I have ADHD, I like variety so I cross-train in pretty much every job I have) she gave it to someone who had been with the company for 3 months and wasn't even a supervisor and didn't have ANY of the degrees needed. Petty stuff. I finally was fed up, interviewed somewhere else, and wrote a scathing letter to her and forwarded it to the company head (who loved me, she wanted to set me up with her son, but was in a totally different city), and quit effective immediately. Started my next job a week later, and heard through the grapevine that the office shut down two months after I left. Best news ever.

I'm super chill, but once someone pisses me off, I'm scorched earth, followed by a nap and a snack lol.

ANYway.... TNP is drinking something yummy tonight.

Guilty in that I already had a lemonade, and intend to have some Coke Zero. But I'm being cautious with the coke because the caffeine in it can provoke and/or exacerbate panic attacks. I haven't had one in four days, and I really don't want that to change up.

Tnp likes winter more than summer

Not Guilty. I'm Canadian, my winters hit the -50°C (-58°F) marks, whereas our summers are like 42°C (107.5F) on a harsh day. The heat is much more moderate and manageable than the cold, especially for someone like me who prefers to dress moderately light and parade my apartment in my underwear. 

TNP hasn't done laundry yet this week.

TNP has never finished an RP because the story was over and the ending was satisfying to all parties involved.

Not guilty. I finished a very long-running RP on a different site. After running for more than ten years, the story had been told, and the ending was satisfying.

TNP has a television show that they refuse to see the last episode (or sets of episodes) of, because then it would be over.

Not guilty. Been a long time since I was sunburned. It's not sunny enough out here yet for sunburns. I have been sunburned on the roof of my mouth before though. That's absolutely the worst. (Exertion on snow in bright sunlight causes your mouth to be open, and the sunlight reflects off the snow into your mouth....)

The Pandemic officially ended in May 2023. I'm guilty of having had it recently. I got it from my Dad, but his case was far more severe, obviously.
