Marking messages as read?

I've an interesting problem - for some reason, my messages are displaying that are 4 messages unread, and this was the case for some years now.

It is starting to bother me, even more so after I went through every one of the 50-odd pages of my PMs to check for Unreads. I found only one (the number went from 5 to 4).

I did some googling around and even managed to find the "mark all messages as read" button, but all is in vain. I don't want to just clear my inbox, as I have some roleplays from before in there, and I'd like to hang onto them.

In other words, any help would be appreciated!
