Here in Italy we say Artificial Milk or sometimes you can just ask for powdered milk for babies. ^^

News about the shortage - and for those who haven't been aware, we're talking infants dying due to malnutrition or dodgy DIY substitutes - has been hitting my news feed.  In 'not news', it's impacting lower-income families most.  People who have to find stores that take their state-assistance cards, who have to make sure they have enough gas in the car to get to their jobs - who can't afford the time off or equipment to supply breast milk (those pumps are pricey and not all employers give their nursing mothers facilities to breastfeed), and who might be undernourished themselves.

Biden on Wednesday directed the Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to use Department of Defense commercial planes to fly infant formula to the United States that meets comparable safety standards, bypassing typical — and longer — air freighting routes.

Major Ron Martin with the North County Police Cooperative said that moments before the shooting, a man with a rifle had entered the grocery store.

Martin said he was "open carrying" the rifle in a sleeve underneath his shirt and did not threaten anyone while inside the store.

The man then left the store, and he was confronted outside by another man with a gun, who announced a robbery and demanded his rifle.

The man gave up the rifle, then went to his vehicle and grabbed another gun as the alleged robber was walking away. He fired at the robber, and a shootout between the two began.

The alleged robber was shot several times.

Two innocent bystanders, both women, had just pulled up to the market and were also shot. Their injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

The man who was robbed of his rifle fled the scene. Moments later, police believe a third man came and shot the alleged robber again, then left.

Remember that the sort of person who would turn up to watch people entering an event like this is surely a natural Conservative, and this might spool some of the undecided MPs.

There's a sort of warped irony here, in that the restrictions he was presumably hoping for would have stopped him from doing anything.

I hate religion...some conservatives are only for forced birth, they aren't prolife at all. They care more about their guns then the lives of children. They can more about controlling women's rights than they do helping to support them. Maternity leave is only 10 wks, baby formula is like over 50 bucks a can, and it's hard to get wick to get milk and stuff for kids. there isn't any help with you're struggling and you cant feed your child. They are just well...

Couldn't have said it better myself, my friend. This decision impacts more black women, indigenous women, and poor women in general. Teenagers who make one bad choice. However, when it comes to protecting life from covid, my wearing a mask, conservatives want to preach - my body my decision.
