Lady Sakura

Name: Nyasha Von Koli
Date | Time: June 10 | 4ish
Wearing: 60's style bathing suit
Location: Roof| Pool Party
Tagging: Axel | Sean | Leon

A playful grin curled her lips as Sean chimed in about wanting a drink of water. “Oh you!” She flicked her hand downwards at him. A soft chuckle escaping her nude lips. “It is very nice to meet you both.” Tucking some sable tresses behind her ear. It did little good staying there as the wind picked up and ravished her hair with it’s invisible fingers.

The conversation shifted and she couldn’t help but wonder if she shouldn’t leave and let these two chat. Maybe the water excuse might allow them to talk about what appeared to be something she’d know nothing about. Sean worked there she knew that. She had seen him when she first checked in herself. So she knew Axel was in safe hands. “I think I’m going to go get some thing to drink.” She her tone of voice was light. “I’ll check back in on you later Axel. I know you’re in good hands with Sean.” She stated giving Sean a smile.

“Make sure he gets back to his room safely, okay?” She gave Sean a soft smile before glancing at Axel. “I hope to see you around later, alright? Hopefully with a smile on that handsome face of yours.” Smiling once more and lightly patting his shoulder. She’d wait for them to say their parting words before she made her way towards the bar.

She waited her turn as the gentleman before her ordered a pina colada. Sounded like paradise. They were in paradise. She gave the man a light smile “That looks really good.” She interjected before ordering her own drink. “I’ll have a glass of red wine if you have it please.” She loved wine; especially reds. They were her favorite kind and her favorite color. Not so fancy for a pool day was it? She didn’t care though.

William was able to come back with the drinks and the floatee to sit next to her in the water.  When he returned with the drink, he could tell by her body language that something was wrong.  He wasn't sure exactly what was said but he did look at DeAndre.  "Here you go.  Hope it is too your liking?!?"  He wasn't timid at all just he could sense something was probably done and maybe he had fallen out of favor with her...just that quickly?!?  Wasn't like he hadn't been exposed before to a change of heart, but he would like to have done something first...maybe she didn't get over the bad comment from before?  Who knew what his splinter was that got on womens nerves.  But as usual he was a glutton for punishment.  "Something wrong?"  He asked his gaze falling upon her.

Becky groaned. Apparently the message was too subtle with body language.

With a sigh she rolled her head to look in William's general direction. "Look," she paused, biting her tongue for a moment, nope not gonna say that word, "I've been through this. I'm not thrilled about having a thirsty young dog barking around my ankles, and this game you're trying to spit is tired." She nodded over towards the bar. "They'll eat it up." She nodded to the young women over there. "Good luck."

She rolled her head back and continued to float there, trying to find her center and relax again.

“Mmmm oh wow!  Sorry I am not some star football player, or famous actor, or even a multi-platinum Rapper.  I was really just trying to get to know you.  Just you.  Forgive me if I don’t spit enough ‘game’ to make the cut.  Sorry for being me, just a regular working guy.    Excuse me Madam, have a great day.”  He nodded politely.

“Later Player.”   William stated as he walked away with his margarita, he left the floatee.   He needed to head to the Spa if nothing else someone would appreciate him just for him there.

Becky felt a sense of peace returning as she realized she'd had him pegged correctly after all. He'd insulted her over and over and then acted like it was about money. Some of them just never learn. He was probably off to complain about how being a "nice guy" got him nowhere. She wondered idly, between calling her an object that was up for grabs at a party, insulting her for asking him to get her a drink that he'd offered to do for her, and then finally telling her that she would only talk to rich people when he thought he had said anything that deserved a response other than a middle finger, but that was his problem, not hers. She wasn't here to teach boys to be men. That part of her life was over.

She had no idea if Chris was still there or not. She figured he'd say something if he was. If not, well, she was happy floating. She kept her eyes closed and sipped the margarita. At least she hadn't had to get out of her floaty thing.

Chris was shocked at the little display that had just happened.  To say the least.  Seems like his dance partner was not in the mood.  He realized now might not be the time to poke the bear, he was far from fearless.  But he figured part of that other guy's issue was his presence.  'Can't handle a bit of competition..hmm too bad.  She has her own mind she can say yes or no.'

"So would now be a bad time to ask for a getting to know you time?"  He asked still sitting on the edge of the pool.  "I can come back later, if relaxation is more important right now?"

Becky didn't seem bothered by Chris's presence as she floated serenely, her brightly colored floaty thing looking quite comfortable as she sipped her drink.

"Relaxation is very important right now." She said. "But if you think you can manage it without killing my vibe, by all means." She reached out to indicate the now empty flaoty thing floating next to hers.

Chris smirked as he moved to the offered floatee.  "I can only do my best.  You can tell me about you and how you have been since last I saw you.  And maybe we can get to know one another and maybe increase your vibe instead."  It took him a bit to get into the item without getting totally wet but it was a pool after all so he was going to enjoy whatever time they spent together.

"I know we were working on secrets, but maybe you just tell me about you?"  He stated just asking as he smiled rather relaxed now.

#658
Name: Brad Warren
Date | Time: June 10, 2020 | Pool Party
Wearing:

(Contrary to Brad's face claim, the back of his hand does not have ink.)

Location: Rooftop | Bar
Tagging: Rafaela, Christian (m), Shawn (m), Olivia (m), Nyasha (m), Leon (m) | Open - trying to catch up, bear with us!

Droplets of water rolled along his muscles, lazily, like they also were burdened by the heat. Parked in the bit of shade that the bar offered, Brad wondered how long it would take for his skin to dry. The minor curiosity lasted an entire second, the amount of time it took to turn a quarter of the way on his stool, arm resting atop the counter. He wanted to take the moment to gander at the crowd from his perch at the farthest end of the bar: from the vacationers floating in the chlorinated water to the various gaggles that dotted the rooftop. Was someone stretching? Over by the pool's edge. Cute. An amused smile flickered across Brad's face before his gaze continued its wander across the scene. The location kept his back to the perimeter, more or less. Just how he liked it.

The ice cubes rocked inside the glass when the bartender set down the margarita, the lime slice clinging to the rim like a puppy stuck on a log after its attempt at climbing over. "That's going to hit the spot. Thank you kindly." Brad ceased drumming his hand to the beat of the current sixties classic in favor of another indulgence. The glass traveled maybe halfway to his piehole when he noticed the movement in his periphery: a woman, maybe late thirties, claiming a spot a couple stools down. Their eyes barely met before she turned toward the bartender, and Brad, his drink, but he peeled his ears. She ordered with an--Italian accent? Yep, definitely Italian. The language toward the end was unmistakable.

There were others at the bar--a couple, he assumed, and a woman who had just strolled up next to a man--but he'd settle with the individual who was currently by her lonesome. "Someone's responsible. I like it." Brad raised his glass in cheers, fingers pinching the stem. "Have to do what you can to stay cool. The desert's hot. Who knew," he said with a light-hearted self-deprecation, for humor's sake. His ass had bid its current stool sayonara. Bare feet took the half a step necessary to reach its neighbor. He paused just behind it, closed lips stretching to properly greet the lady with a smile. "Buon promiggrio." Wait a minute. The corners of his eyes crinkled with a sheepishness at his own mistake. That wasn't exactly a "good afternoon". His mild, amused smirk still held an ounce of confidence before he said, "Well. Now that I've shown you how rusty my Italian is, I was wondering if you might be interested in a little company, signora." Or not so little, as the case may be; he'd estimate that he would have towered over her by nearly a foot if she were standing.

Jina was surprised to hear that Reese grew up in Toronto. Of all the places she could've visited and all the people she could've run into... What a coincidence.
"Are you alright?" she asked. She thought to hear something in Reese's voice that suggested she wasn't that happy. Leaving aside anything personal that might be going on, Jina guessed which situation would've been most likely to affect her mood. "Was it the handshake? That I didn't...? It's really nothing personal; I can't see well."

Wearing: This swimsuit underneath this dress, in off white with a golden stripe
Location: Rooftop | Bar, talking with Brad
Tagging: Brad, Open   -    Trying to catch up as well, I will be reading stories little by little, bear with us! +1

The bartender handed Rafaela the cold water with one slice of lemon that she asked, and she sat on her stool with her ankles crossed one behind the other and her back straight and proud. A quite elegant sight the former soprano was, with her chic beach dress and just one leg revealed as she was sitting. An elegant sight indeed, but overdressed for the occasion. And that struck Rafaela once more when the dashing man a few stools nearer decided to come and talk to her.

Her whole being was simply dying to sigh and cry "O Dio mio!" (trans: "Oh my God") out loud as a humble praise to the heavens for the Roman statue that was spellbinding her eyes and who was approaching her using her language, but she remained calm and collected and the epitome of sophistication. She smiled politely at Brad and his charming attempt to speak in her mother tongue; it never stopped flattering her when people undusted some basic Italian to offer her a "good morning".

"Rusty or not", she said in her characteristic, Italian parlance and her smooth voice, "you flatter me deeply, signore". She offered him her hand to shake, presenting herself. "I am Rafaela. And I would really enjoy your company, since you are offering it. Allow me to buy you a drink, the heat is indeed unbearable.", she said and gestured kindly at the bartender to fix Brad one more drink of what he was already having.

All the while, she was trying hard not to stare neither at the incredulously tiny bathing suit Brad was wearing, not at the elaborate tattoo designs that were tangling around his body. Which was wet. And dripping. And masculine. And oh my god Rafaela, what's wrong with you?!

Becky let her head roll to one side to look at Chris. She paused for a moment, savoring her drink. "I don't wanna talk about me." She announced. "I spend all day with me." She rolled her head to look forward again up, towards the clear blue sky.

"Let's talk about this place." She said, reaching a foot into the water and pushing against the edge of the pool with her toes she gave herself a little propulsion into the middle area of the pool, where she could float with less distractions. Chris was clearly welcome to follow her.

"Don't you love it here?" She asked, stretching out her arms and back and sighing happily. She tossed her hair back over her head and got comfortably on the floaty thing again. "God I don't ever want to leave."

Chris moved with her closer, having to use a hand to get out into the middle of the pool with her.  She didn't want him to know too much about her or she didn't feel like it.  He would accept that for now since he had not choice in the matter.  He understood it, not like he was the most exciting person either, but she was someone he would've liked to gotten to know.

"So you never want to leave.  You really don't have to right?  I mean is it really that expensive?"  He looked around and realized how people go some place and stayed.  This place truly was its own little oasis.  "It is nice kinda stuck out in the middle of nowhere.  Beautiful place, lovely scenery."  He said referring to her.  "I don't know about staying forever though.  I could get used to the treatment though."

"How do you not know how expensive it is here?" Becky asked with a laugh. "Did someone pay for you?" She had yet to learn that Chris was here as a bodyguard. "But sure, it's gorgeous. I paid for three months and I've got a lot left and damn I don't know what I'm gonna do after that."

She thought about it. She had enough money to buy a nice little house in the middle of nowhere, or to pay her bills for awhile in a big city. She'd get lonely if she went back anywhere like where she grew up, but she wasn't exactly eager to return anywhere big and flashy either. Maybe there was someplace in between she could check out. Ah well, she'd worry about that later.

"Where do you go back to then, when this is over for you?" She asked Chris idly.

Reese looked off into the distance rather than at her current swimming partner. Her gaze was directed at Stacey, the spunk filled blonde, as she got out of the pool.

Guess game’s off then, she thought to herself.

It was hard to say if Reese was more disappointed or relieved at the woman’s change of heart. The latter because she didn’t want to deal with the awkwardness of asking people to clear the pool for them. They’d get upset, understandably so. If they refused to move then they’d have to be super cautious to ensure a ball did not whack someone in the face. Neither options were appealing.

“I’m okay,” Reese lied with ease at Jina’s question. “I think our game has been canceled though.” The woman’s explanation caught her off guard, making her bite the inside of her cheek. “Oh. I had no idea.” Since she was being so forthright, she decided to do the same. “I thought you were a germaphobe or something.”

“I don’t check again after it was paid for.”  He said not stating on the fact that he didn’t pay too much attention as he was here on duty mostly, but he was free for a little while.  “I am here to assess what goes on primarily.”  He had no intentions of lying, but if he didn’t tell it all it wasn’t lying completely, it was need to know.  He knew he probably should tell her as he hated when it was done to him by the military.

“What do you mean?  Do you have money?  You paid to come here to clear your head, but yet you don’t know what you are going to do after that?”  He said rather confused himself.  “What do you want to do?  I mean yes that is a rather redundant question, but what do you like to do for you?!?  Find a job…if you want one doing that.  Or similar to it.  Find something that is NOT work, then you can have fun and enjoy what you do.”  He said realizing he should probably follow his own advice.

“Texas.  I have a job there working in security.”  He said making sure not to lie to her.  “Where are you from?”  He asked, she didn’t want to talk about herself initially but she was at least opening up, despite their rocky start she was at least relaxing with him.

Jina didn't believe Reese when she claimed she was okay. But since they were strangers, Jina let it slide. They had no obligation to share anything.
She laughed. "Well I'm not a germaphobe," she said amused. "Those people wouldn't dare to go near a pool. To them it's a big bath of chemicals and dead skin cells, and who knows what else." She looked startled at her own words and snickered awkwardly. "I'm sorry, that's not an appealing idea. Anyways, why did our game cancel?" She took a look around and couldn't see the woman anymore - though in Jina's case, that didn't always mean anything. "Did she leave?"

Becky floated quietly as Chris talked. She didn't bother responding to his 'advice' that she should do something that made her happy. She'd read Hallmark Cards before too.

"Texas huh?" She said, smiling a little. "I'm from just a few states over." She didn't specify which, nor did she much feel like being any more particular than that. "It never got this hot there. But I guess it doesn't anywhere in the States huh? Gotta love how dry it is though!" She said happily, running a hand through her completely perfect hair.

"How much do you think I could get paid for floating around in a pool all day? Because that seems pretty awesome at the moment." She said.

"Yeah Big 'T'.  A few states over what Florida or GA?  Or is that too much too soon?"  He said.  "No save Louisiana but it is muggy there too.  It is killer, but then there is Florida too.  Very dry here."  He said as he looked at her, she had lovely hair and would love to run his fingers through it.

"Depends on if you would be a swimming pool model or floatee model.  Sorry not trying to solve your problems just make you smile."  He said as he looked at her.

"Not that many." Becky said with a smile, amused more than annoyed at the fact that Chris seemed so insistent on learning where she grew up. Not that it made her any more in the mood to tell him.

"Oh floatee model, definitely." She said with a happy insistence, rolling onto her side now she opened her eyes so she could face towards him, propping herself up with her elbow so that she could see him as she talked. "If I was just a pool model I might have to go in." She shook her head. "And I might get stuck without a floatee." She shook her head. "No sir, that will be in my contract" she laughed at the notion, "Rules - 1) floatees only." She laughed.

Chris thought she was too sexy for words.  He smirked as she fought against telling him still.  He would find out later.  She was going to open up to him, if he were lucky.  He was enjoying this moment, it wasn't like being out under the stars.  But it was nice nonetheless.

He laughed.  "Ok let me guess you don't want to get your hair wet?"  He looked at her as she turned to face him, now looking at him fully.  He now straddled his floatee to make sure he enjoyed his view.  "Please don't tell me you are one of those girls afraid of the water."  He frowned and looked at her.  "Stuck with out a floatee?!?  NO!  You can't swim?"  He said wondering but after he heard her contract arrangements it made him smile that much more.  "So what is rule 2?"  He smirked enjoying her laugh.

"Uh yeah. You ever try to defrizz?" She glanced at his bald head. "Nevermind." She waved a hand at him playfully, grinning at the man.

"Afraid of the water?" She blinked at him. "I'm in the pool you dork." She laughed. "I can swim just fine. I can do lots of things just fine. Doesn't mean I wanna do 'em." She rolled about on the floatee a little so she was more sitting upright than lying flat so she could lean back but still look at him while they talked.

"Oh there is no rule 2." She grinned. "That's the only rule. Floatees only. You know any good agents?"

Untamed Skies

As Leon stood and waited in line, a woman joined in with him waiting to get her drink. He took notice of her quickly. She was incredibly lovely. Long brown dark hair, flawless choclate skin, and a body shown off by her vintage swimsuit. Showing more people had been prepared for it than he had been. He might have been caught staring if the bartender hadn't asked him for his order, snapping him from it as he turned and responded.

Once he had his drink the woman behind him interjected her thoughts on how good it looked, and Leon couldn't disagree with her. To Leon it did without a doubt look delicious. Moving to the side to let her order. Leon elected to go ahead and take a sip while he still had The Woman's attention. It was sweet, sweeter than he had maybe thought it'd be, but good. He'd offer Nyasha smile.

"You're not wrong about that, it's great! You could have a sip if you like." He said, interested if maybe The Lovely Woman wasn't exactly the kind of company he had come looking for. Someone capable of helping make his first day in his new surroundings feel like vacation. The Woman would be the first person Leon had ever actually thought to share a drink with, if she decided she wanted to take a sip.

He'd gesutre his head once she had her wine so they could step out of the way, hoping that she'd be interested in sipping or at least striking up conversation. All Leon knew for sure was that he defintely didn't want The Stunning Woman in front of him to slip away to quickly.

"Rusty or not, you flatter me deeply, signore."

With the smile still pressed on his lips, Brad lifted his eyebrows. So far, so good, minor slip-up aside. "I aim to please." His tone leaned on the platonic side of the metaphorical fence, but he wouldn't stop someone from perceiving it however they desired. He wasn't blind to his own genes and could guess how they could influence the thoughts of the right person. Whether this woman fit the bill, that had yet to be revealed. She didn't impart any tells since his stepping over here. He couldn't expect any less from someone of her stature. It made the game all the sweeter anyway. Win or "lose" hardly mattered. Playing was most of the fun.

He reached for the outstretched hand. His grip was gently firm, proper for a shake. The gesture completed as she introduced herself. From there he followed her body language; he let go if she pulled away, and if not, he allowed the touch to linger for a heartbeat more. It was loosened but not at all limp, and long enough to engage the senses, or so that would have been his goal. Too long or too short, he wouldn't claim to be perfect. His gaze was comfortably settled on her face while he listened. "That's a kind offer you're making. Grazie." He sat on the neighboring stool and smiled a thanks to the bartender before returning his attention to Rafaela. "The name's Brad. It's a pleasure, signora."

He was turned just enough to comfortably look at her while they passed the time, his chest angled toward her and his free hand resting on his knee. "I admit, I wondered what the turnout would be like." For a moment, he observed the crowd that lay beyond the bar. "An afternoon rooftop party in the Sahara sounds like it would be a hard sell for some people, but then again, I guess the resort's going to attract a particular type." He smirked lightheartedly at Rafaela as he met her eyes again, depending on where they were settled. "Personally, you won't hear a complaint pass through these lips." He lifted his current margarita to finish it. His attention had yet to drift below her shoulders since they began talking. It would wait until the timing was right, perhaps made easier for him than for most men. Still, it hadn't escaped him how their states of dress contrasted; sitting next to her now, he felt like he might as well be an escort. He probably looked like one, too, to any onlookers. It didn't bother him. He enjoyed tongue-in-cheek.

Another thing that didn't escape his notice earlier was the lack of a ring. It was unlikely for such a woman to not have at least experienced marriage, past tense. Was she divorced? Concealing her status? A lesbian? Crazy? Two of those possibilities were more entertaining than the others. He never promised to be on his best behavior. That was reserved for the job and potential clients, nothing more. But he wasn't one to be too discriminatory of fun as long as it was on the right side of the law. He had his fill on that particular brand in his adolescence.

Brad set the empty glass on the bar, but didn't yet grab for the second that stood beside it. "The desert's a unique location to set up a resort. The opportunity's hard to turn down. How long have you been here?"
