The Dark Knight Crossover [NS] [VAN] [NC]

 I just had an interesting idea for an RP, one that I thought of after watching The Dark Knight last night. I wonder what would have happened if instead of being killed by the blast Rachel Dawes was somehow transported to another world, a parallel world by a C5 corridor. This paralell world is basically a modern day San Francisco.

I was inspired also by watching a rerun of a favorite 90s TV show where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego. Basically how Rachel wound up on this paralell world is by an ACME detective transporting himself or herself through that C5 corridor. Rachel after her initial shock and re-orientation winds up working for the ACME
Detective Agency as a member of its legal department.

The ACME I've invented also deals with things outside of its own dimension and goes from world to world via the C5 corridor.

I was thinking we could start with Rachel's first day in the office and then after we get groundwork laid for a storyline, we could start her first case.

The bare minimum for this game to start would be a female to play Rachel. Characters can come in as the game progresses and this thread can serve as the admin thread. PM me with questions.

Oh and ACME is a diverse organization and there are various departments within it:

Some of these are:

1) Legal
2) Finance
3) CSI/Forensics
4) Search and Rescue
5) CRIMENET (like a SWAT organization)
6) Clandestine OPS (A lot like CIA Paramilitary units)
7) Undercover Division
8) Criminal Investigations
9) Internal Affairs

Occupation - Search and Rescue/Clandestine Services
Age - 31
Bio - Henry Stonham, a recent transfer to ACME HQ in San Francisco from ACME's Alaska office is a Search and Rescue expert (specifically Arctic SAR). His job often entails the rescue of ACME detectives who are lost or stranded in remote areas.

He also works in Clandestine Services, carrying out numerous quasi-legal operations throughout the various worlds. His specialty in CS is sniping.

I did hear about that show, where on earth is carmen sandiego, but i dont think i watched any episodes.If i did, i cant remember them. I like your idea. I did enjoy the dark knight a lot, and i think i could play Rachel Dawes well enough. Unless youve found someone better.

Name: Tara Anderson
Birthplace: Manhattan, New York
Occupation: Under Cover Division /Search and Rescue
Age: 32
Bio: Transferred to Acme Headquarters 3 months fresh out of the U.S. Air force (ex-pilot rank Lieutenant), served as search and rescue/ covert operations /Air Strike Unit 79 for nine years/over 100 missions flown - 100 missions ground support / Official Clearance - Top Secret. Tara was brought on as an asset for the departments search and rescue and has proven thus far to be invaluable to the undercover division.

New to the area of San Francisco has been learning how to cope with the change in climate and local atmosphere as all seems much more docile then that of  New York City. She purchased a house up in North Beach; 745 Union Street. Not to far from her home can she see the Saints Peter and Paul Church and hear the bells ringing each day. Her life style is one of mystery; so she desperately needed a change of pace. Although her new job required much the same of her, as did her military life she wanted to fit in even if just for a short while. 

It was the perfect spot as she was told by the Realtor for cappuccinos and espressos from the many expensive restaurants that line the streets over on Taylor and Lombard. Each night out on her balcony of her master suite, hears the jazz playing from the place across the street at the club and other varieties of melodies that pour onto the night life. By day if not on assignment can enjoy the Tai Chi groups, artist, or stroll through the local park or along the beach near by. Thoughts of a normal life often visit her at times when she is not at play with Acme. Such a life she dares to dream of…being a talented violinist, a great cook, and sings beautifully. She remains alone by choice, too afraid to let anyone get close enough to love her. She lies to her self, believing it’s all about the job and that she is protecting them from it. She knows she is unable to share what she does in life and has isolated herself from knowing what could be in the arms of another.
