Go Spain go!! Also here's a funny, but real, picture about Iniesta and Oliver Atom :P

Spain, indeed. I just like them better than Ireland.
A shame that Villa isn't playing, though.

I feel so sorry for the team and in particularly the supporters.  The country needed the lift.

At least no one can't say we haven't the best supporters in the whole world.

So very true.
Bless they're singing their bloody little hearts out

I'd love if they even scored one goal but they're a mediocre team at best up against the last years champs

even the commentators here are all disheartened

and there it is the final whistle
heart goes out to the fans for sure
love that the team are saluting the Irish fans

They're not a good team at all.  Very disheartening.  Oh dear.....I think another little touch up to my glass is needed and maybe a change of channel.  Cheers Kendra.

~snuggles~ It wasn't meant personally. ;) But the Irish fans are awesome. ~nodnod~

The Sweden - England game tonight will be interesting. I'm looking forward to it, but, as sad as it is, I can see us loosing.

*chuckles and huggles* aww I know, was teasing you hun

will be glued to that game - have been looking forward to it since watching Sweden but only because they play awesome soccer, am just afraid that
it's Englands time to bow out gracefully too. Hopefully they'll put up a decent game and go out in style though ;)

I more or less adopted the Ukrainian team the other night, so am rooting for them to win their game tonight against France.
They should do it, especially if they play like last time. ;)

It could be worse, you might be following Scotland (who didn't qualify)...or Australia (2pt from 2 games in WC'14 quals) ...or both...

was gutted for Ukraine against France  :'(
am still getting my jersey - it's a pure joy to watch that team play, win or lose.

- watching England now and can only say tis nail biting.
First half just up.

Far different team that played France the other night.
1 - 0 to England ...

best of luck Nich <3

Yes, it was a really great game - a nailbiter. I was kept a bit less than up to speed during the critical second half by tv transmission trouble and an onsetting lack of sleep from the night before (I'll be rewatching the entire game on the PC in a week or so - the machine is on rebuild right now after the motherboard and HD connectors crashed). England finally scored, but there's really nothing to be ashamed of for us; our guys fought it with real panache and Mr.Starman (aka Zlatan, on a first-name basis with the nation since several years back) has affirmed he will stay on the team. And there's lots of gifted kids coming up in the home league, so watch out!  :D
