Superheroes, game systems, and hentia... Could it work?
« on: July 28, 2007, 12:32:20 AM »
Hi.

I really enjoy Thread Weaver's superhero games, though they don't always run on a time frame i can keep up with.  Before hers, Darwishi, I think, ran some as well that were even more sexualy active but still had good superhero action in them.

I'd like to play in a game like these that has a system like Hero, Mutants and Masterminds 2E, or Abarant.  It would also be nice if said games had a bit more focused plot and also had a bit more spread out posting times.

Lurk? Like read it? Can't see why not, you won't find much in the way of sex though.

That's what I meant, yes.  Where is it and what's it called?

Steel's Angels, in NCEF: Heavy. A bit slow going at the moment though, with Cherri on her holliday.

I realize this is an old post, but her is another game system that works out well for the play by post environment. It's also easy to use and best of all no dice for those who despise them.

It's called Marvel Universe RPG or MURPG. It very simple. Here's a link with some good info on it.

I have the books for MURPG and could run it, but with my track record I'm not sure how many people we'd get.

Alrighty then. I'll see what I can come up with. I think it would be neat to use the MMORG settign from City of Heroes/Villians and add an erotic bent to it, but I realize alto of people here aren't familiar with it. I think I still have alot of info from when I was runinng a normal vwersion over on rpol. some minor tweaking and it should be doable. As for the Hentai part....while I can see some Fun loving -with tentacles and the like, I think I'll try to keep a godo mix of male and female characters. Give me a day or two to get my ideas ironed out.

I'll PM you or post here when I get everything ready. If you want to get a head start on your character I will be using 50 point characters + 15 max points for disadvantages.

Hmm, I've got the really basic Marvel stuff or my memory is faulty because I don't understand the 50 pt + 15 in disads.

I'll dig it out and go throught it again and start working on my characters non-super personality and stuff, that way I'll have a base to work from.  :D

You use the points to but all of your abilities, powers, etc. You'll need the book but I'll try and post thecharts somewhere for those that need them. Disadvantages give you extra points. so 50 +15 in dis gives you a total of 50-65 points to work with depending how many disadvantages you take. *mutant is like 3 point, can't increase the power through lines of exp, 2x damage from fire, etc, etc)

I'll play I think a heroine with no flaws or very few flaws. I always liked lower powered heroes personally.

But couldn't you just use a free system available on-line I posted a list, its better than using a system that all players can't access the rules of.

But if you do all the charts and things that's fine to.

I have aquired the book through alternative channels and I must say that while the system looks interesting, the character creation system is explained very badly. Otherwise it looks quite fun.

I've been playing CoH since beta, though I much prefer CoV.

I don't have the Marvel books though, nor have I played the system before.

Yeah Dingo the book is pretty bad at explaining stuff, but it was made by Marvel themselves instead of liscensing out to a real gaming company. However, there are alot of good character creation guides on the site I gave the link to *see above*. Also if anyone prefers they can just send me a rundown of how they see their character and I can do up stats. If they like the stats they can keep it or offer areas they want to change.

Hm...

Do I really want to play Zara in a truly hentai game?  Her imunity to being constrained doesn't help...

There are always ways to constrain someone. If not physically then in their mind.

Ok a few genral notes ans questions.

While I definately see some hardcore Hentai possabities, I don't really want to have all female characters. I can do it if everyone wants to, but I think male and female would work better.

Are you guys/gals looking for over the top erotic, like Bazooka Joe *shoots toxic cumshots form a bazooka sized phallus, Cockteaser who gives of sexual pheremones but her body gives off an electric shock ot anyone who touches her, etc, etc...or more seriuos super hero types. I was thinking a Mystery Men/Sin city type feel with heavy erotic content.

I prefer to have a "serious" Superhero with highly erotic adventures.
