Secret Police

Hello, thanks for taking a look at my post.

I have a plot idea that is based on a wife being drawn into working for a secret police organisation, something similar to the Gestapo, Stasi or KGB. She might be forced to work for them after being arrested for committing a trivial offence, or she initially volunteers her help, thinking she is doing the right thing.

At first, she acts as an informant, providing information about neighbours, friends and even family members, but gradually she is asked to carry out more clandestine tasks, such as taking videos and pictures, planting evidence and acting as an agent-provocateur using her female charms to entice people into carrying out crimes. Over time, she becomes seduced by the power she realises she has and discovers there is a more extreme division within the organisation that she is keen to become a member of.

The story would focus on her transformation from a wife, with a normal dull life, to a power-hungry, self-absorbed narcissist and to what lengths she would be prepared to go to attain and keep the wealth and influence she obtains.
