A kindred heavy metal rock band, that is regional in the south east of the United States.   That plays at local bars/clubs and state fairs across the southeast of the United States.    A coterie of various clans and bloodlines that are anarch.   Following neither the white ivory tower of the Camarilla or the Sabbat.    A coterie that flaunts vampirism thus flirts with the masquerade.    In such outlandish way that actually keeps the masquerade.    Yet such open flaunting could sit uneasy with the major sects and even other anarchs.    Yet this band that is a coterie has each other, and face such obstacles together.

All clans and bloodlines open within the VtM V20 core rulebook, except Baali.    Everyone will be a anarch and part of the coterie. 

Standard build,  attributes; 7/5/3 -for each attribute type traits prioritize, each one starts with 1, physical, social, mental choose a Specialty for each 4 dot attribute trait.  Skills; 13/9/5,  Skill abilities 4 rating can choose a specialty.  Backgrounds; 5.  Disciplines;  4 (In clan or common out of clan)  Merits max 7 pts, flaws max 7 pts,  freebies 30,  campaign bonus 30  (4 pts to Fame background thus actually 26 bonus added) Generation allowed 7th to 14th, through only one of the 7th generation  will be allowed.  Bloodpool determine by generation (max start).  Health start with initial 9 levels.  Willpower start equals courage rating.  Humanity/Path rating equal to conscience/conviction & Self Control/Instinct totaled.  Virtue ratings each start with 1 free each category and have 7 points to divide among three categories.

Why is your character a heavy metal rocker,  what is it that put them in the coterie and part of the band.  That should be your first step in coming up with a concept.   Some clans and bloodlines will fit naturally,  However, despite being allowed.  How does a Tremere fit, one that be outside the chantry and the pyramid is one example.

Projected campaign storylines.    The coterie dealing with other anarchs,   camarilla, the sabbat,  lycan tribes and septs that they may encroach upon with gigs.   Leaving a whole avenue of plots.

Clarity,  don't think your joining a motley rabble that rails against everything.    Think of the coterie as ambassadors within the region for the free anarch states set up with the treaty of succession.    That much like the underground railroad set up in the 1850's from the south for slaves to get to freedom.    Think of the ambassadors that the coterie will be with influence to help those kindred within the camarilla and sabbat that want  what the anarch movement has started and well that where the band comes in.

That is up to everyone that joins.   I personally have learned to leave such to the players.   Now what I personally envision is some to go along with the story.   Enough to fill it like in the movie Almost famous to give that rock band vibe with the band so I'm thinking about 25%.   But as I said leading its up to you all.   Your concepts, paths and clan you choose in how you build your characters and envision them. 

Of course beside sex around a rock band.   Liquor, drugs all those can be tossed in for addictions and part of the vibe of the band/coterie.

I have a couple of questions about the character creation guidelines, if I may. Please forgive me if I've missed something simple or obvious.

1. When you say "for each attribute type physical, social, mental choose a focus for each in each", can you clarify what that means? There's no rule in V20 for 'Focus' (there is one for Specialty, is that what you mean?). And do you mean pick one "Focus" for each Attribute? Or only one Attribute in each category? Or did I completely misread it and you meant something else altogether?

2. Your Ability spread (1x4 dot, 2x3 dot, 3x2 dot, 4x1 dot = 20 dots) is less than the standard allotment (13/9/5 = 27 vs 20). Is that intentional?

3. If I'm reading it right, we need to put 1pt in the Generation background or else we're human? Is that a houserule? Normally, having no points in Generation means you're 13th Generation (and each point of the background lowers it by one). So, are there no 13th Generation Kindred in this world?

4. Does "Campaign bonus 30" mean 30 extra Freebies? Do the 4pts of Fame come out of that, or are they in addition to it?

I have gone back and forth in keeping the standard 13/9/5 or the preset dot allowance.

Will change,  I was rushed to post as dog was doing dance and chose mortal instead of writing it all out in a brain fart moment will clean it up.

Campaign bonus of extra freebies.   The 4 pts of fame come out of that.  So technically it's 26 bonus freebies for a total of 56 to build your character.


5. If I'm reading it right, the maximum Humanity is 6, regardless of our Virtues?

Yes,  max humanity is 6

Less 'big hair and leather and chrome spikes' and more 'long hair whispy white dress bare feet looking like she stepped out of the Ring.'

Description/Distinguishing Marks

Vamp Tramp, dresses as a heavy metal rocker.  Tight pants,  leather,  jewelry.   She is only 5'1", weighs 117 lbs, brown, almost amber color eyes.   Natural hair is black,  but she dies it Red,  as she is of British/Egyptian heritage.  Vamp Tramp appears to be about twenty-five, despite being actually 102 years old.

Character's concept brief

Born Irene Marion York in 1920.   Her father a Oxford archaeology professor worked in Egyptian and had a Egyptian wife.   It is here near the very end of the WW2 1945, as an assistant to diplomat in Egypt.   That Irene was turned as a member the clan Followers of Set. 

For the next 62 years, she lived in the middle east, Egypt,  Israel, Jordan, Lebanon,  Syria and Iraq.  Where she met Beauregard LaFontaine in Iraq,   the army ranger she would follow with his help to the United States.    Where she became part of the heavy metal rock scene in the United States in the southeast region.   She would form a band with other follow kindred.

Character goals

Current goal, one town, city at a time help those that would be free, escape the shackles of false houses, the Ivory tower and those that hide behind a religious zeal.  The Camarilla and Sabbat.

For only in a anarchy state the true father of all Set shall rise again and claim his dominion over all.

Turn Gene Simmons,  his tongue should be immortalized.

Would it be okay if Vamp Tramp was my character's sire?  If so, would my character have to also be a Follower of Set?

I am using the 20th Anniversary edition of the Vampire the Masquerade.

If Vamp Tramp was your sire, you would indeed be a Follower of Set (Settite).     You would be 10th generation.    Unless you in write up having diablerie.

(Diablerie:  The consumption of another Kindred blood, to the point of the victim’s Final Death. Vampires may lower their Generation permanently through this abhorrent practice.)

To such carries a heavy stigma and often is a death sentence if found out.  An can be found through auspex, aura perception.   The black streak marks of Diablerie, V20 just says that it is visible as "oil on water"   Thus marking it as easy to spot, such what is cannibalism. amongst vampires.

Yes,  but not with Vamp Tramp as unbeknown sire.   

There will be only one caitiff allowed in chronicle.    It is not a story being crafted for caitiff chronicle.
