I figured this particular idea deserved its own request thread, since it is very… unlike my other ideas. I’ll be mainly world building and playing numerous NPCs, it’s going to be a very plot focused game with fairly little smut, but a lot of gore and creepy things that go bump in the night.

I’m looking for someone who can respond fairly regularly, once a day on average is good, although I understand that you’ll have busy days/weeks where that’s not possible.

My on/offs won’t apply much, considering I can’t even say for sure if there will even be sex (depends on how you play your character). Still, you can take a look, I have a writing sample there that shows the level of detail I’m capable of, although I do tend to match my partner to a certain extent.

Anyways, onto the idea! Keep in mind aspects can be negotiated/changed, I’m flexible.

Your character has always been a bit of a daddy’s girl. Your father was a detective in a big city, meaning he often worked long, strange hours, sometimes vanishing for a month or two at a time, sometimes staying home all week. He was a very protective father, probably one of the few dads that bought their daughter pepper spray at twelve, and the only one to buy them a handgun at sixteen.

Daddy daughter days tended to consist of going out to a shooting range, maybe playing a sport, or even a little play boxing. You did more normal stuff too, like going out for ice cream, movie nights. You had a good relationship, even if he tended to be busy a lot… it just made all the days you could be together all the more special. You’ve grown up now though, and your dad has finally retired, content to spend his golden years with your mother, visiting you, and as he’s hinted at before, possibly grandchildren.

That is until you got the phone call… there had been a breaking and entering, a struggle… and your father didn’t make it. He fought like hell, but in the end, whoever had attacked him had gotten the upper hand. They didn’t take any valuables, although the room the fight had taken place in was completely trashed, everything was present and accounted for… which only made the whole situation that much more confusing. Why would anyone want to hurt her father?

Her curiosity only grew when it came time for the funeral… no fellow officers come to pay their respects, no distant family members… but a small assortment of rather odd looking characters. None really answer her questions, simply saying they were an associate of your fathers, and refusing to elaborate further… except for one man, a rather normal looking one in a black suit and tie, looking to be around thirty-something years old. Although he also politely declined to answer your questions at first, as soon as your mother’s back is turned he slips you a simple black business card with silver lettering… an address printed on paper that you’ve never been to. “If you want to learn more about your father, meet me here at midnight… we have a lot to discuss…”

We’d start the story with her arriving at the address, the man revealing to her that her father was a detective… but not of the normal variety. He was what was known as a Guardian, someone who kept the peace between the human world and the supernatural beings that live alongside it. Monsters, ghosts, demons and witches… and among them, your fathers murderer… and you don’t plan on resting until you put the bastard down for good.
