You're Just a Story

After Thanos was sorted out, many expected things to go back to some sort of 'normal', but they never would. There would always be something out there. It was no longer just Earth that needed protecting, but the universe itself. Even for him, he wasn't jus the Sorcerer Supreme of the Earth. He had to keep an eye out for other planets as well. They had taken this responsibility upon themselves.

Part of his weekly rituals was to look through the various universes he had access to. Not long peeks, just sort of throwing his senses out there. Learning to feel what was normal for one dimension and world so that he could know when something was wrong. He had found a lot of curious things. Some worlds and dimensions had been tampered with by previous sorcerers for the safety of Earth and for the most part he let them be.

There was one though. It felt oddly Earth-like. Upon further inspection, Stephen realized it was time-locked. Doomed to repeat the same events over and over forever. The very thing he had threatened to do with Dormammu. What he found seemed to be a series of time loops. Various events just replaying themselves. Yet these time loops were longer than the ones he was used to seeing. Most lasted five or ten minutes at the most. As he watched, he realized each of these lasted years. He could fast forward it or rewind it, but most of them seemed to last twenty to thirty years. He supposed that was less torturous than replaying the same ten minutes of life forever.

The longer Stephen watched, the more he started to understand who these people were, but he was floored by the realization of what he was seeing. A beautiful, young woman marrying a king and adopting his daughter. The new queen being gifted a mirror by the king's cousins. The king dying, leaving his young queen to rule a kingdom on her own. The mirror being cursed and tormenting the queen for decades until she tries to take the life of her adopted daughter. Ending with the princess in a glass coffin waiting for a kiss and the queen being driven off a cliff before repeating back to her wedding day. This was the story of Snow White.

Another time loop starts with a young, pale green-skinned woman with black horns and sharp features. She is teased and taunted by the prettier women around her until she disappears in a flash of green fire. She spends her time in a treehouse with ravens and one crow. While out one day, the other women set fire to her treehouse and kill her birds. In a fit of anger, Stephen is in awe as he watches her transform into a large black dragon. She ravages the lands with green fire before disappearing into the darkness of a castle. Years pass and he sees the green skinned woman taking a crying bundle out of the castle and giving it to another woman. Years later, he watches as the dragon woman seems to eagerly await something, but it never comes. Instead, he watches her cry softly as she lays out a spell. Stephen realizes it's a protection spell, but one with a cost. He realizes this is the story of Sleeping Beauty and the woman is the villain known as Maleficent.

Bewildered by this knowledge, Stephen starts to research more into the history of these stories. It's obvious they were time locked for a reason, but then why were they told off as fairy tales?

Notes
  • Absolutely no Non-Con.
  • I'm willing to play as Strange or any of the Fairy Tale Folks.
  • I do not wish to take a strictly Disney approach to the villain women. As such, I would prefer to play them over playing Strange...but so long as we discuss it out beforehand, I'm good with playing either role.
  • Choosing to play as the Fairy Tale Women would mean whoever takes on that side of it would be expected to play several roles throughout the course of the game. Not at once though. We'd take it one fairy tale at a time.
  • Basics of the story would revolve around Strange entering these time locks one at a time and speaking with the villainous women to learn the stories.
  • Outside of Grimhilde (the Evil Queen) and Maleficent, we can include other fairytale villains such as Ursula, Queen of Hearts, The Witch from Hansel and Gretel, Madam Mim, and so on.
  • Stories would involve Strange getting to know their side of their stories. We don't have to make any of this romantic between Strange and any of the women.
  • I would like there to be an overarching reason why they were all time locked together. I was thinking of the idea of the Odd Sisters. Witches who entangled their lives in the lives of all these people and for it they all had to be time locked away for safety and to contain the sisters.

Other Notes
  • Another option instead of one of us playing these various women, would be that they are actually background characters. Either of us could take care of their stories as needed as NPCs. Instead, Strange would notice a singular individual that seems to be present everywhere he goes in these time locks.
  • OC could be male or female. Doesn't matter. I can play either Strange or the OC.
  • Story can be romantic or not. Doesn't matter to me.
  • OC could be good or evil or just horribly misguided, but is the reason for all these lives being tangled together and locked away.

Let Our Scars Fall In Love

Dormammu released from the time loop, he did as promised to remove his zealots from Earth and stop his assault. Pride damaged and hurt, Dormammu still keeps his word. He would never go back to Earth. He seeks revenge through his sister, Umar. He promises to release her from the pocket dimension he imprisoned her in for attempting to overthrow him if she finds a way to kill Earth's Sorcerer Supreme. Umar decides to fight Strange on her ground by attempting to lure him back to the Dark Dimension. She uses her disciple, Clea, as a hostage. Having the young woman send out mystical distress calls to Strange. Saying that his presence gave her hope of escape and she needs his aid.

Upon reaching the Dark Dimension again, he fights with Umar. On defeating her, Clea is brought back to Earth with him. There, she explains that she and Umar are Faltines. Beings of pure magic and that Dormammu and Umar had imprisoned her due to her powers.

Her one true goal is to kill the Sorcerer Supreme.

Notes
  • Absolutely no Non-Con.
  • I'm willing to play as Strange or Clea.
  • While unknown to Clea, she is the daughter of Umar and niece of Dormammu and granddaughter of the original ruler of the Dark Dimension. Making her heir to the Dark Dimension.
  • Basic plot will be Clea and Strange eventually going against Umar and Dormammu to retake the Dark Dimension.
  • Not looking for exactly canon Clea personality. More just the character history and such to fit into the MCU.
  • Most of my ideas, the gender and such doesn't matter, but where Clea is a canon female, I would like to have her continued to be played as a female.
  • Not strictly following the MCU timeline. Infinity Wars will not play a part (and don't give me any spoilers).
  • Clea is not some simple disciple of Strange. She is powerful enough to be Sorceress Supreme. She is Strange's equal.
  • Game would be focused on Strange taking the OC in as his apprentice.

Insensitive

"You have to see them, Stephen. This is the sort of thing you would have jumped at before."

"I thought you didn't want me to be that person anymore? You can't have it both ways, Christine."

"I know that, but this is different. Just look at the file. Please. I wouldn't ask if I didn't think you could help. You're still a doctor."

The file sat taunting him for days on the table where Christine had left it, but eventually the curious doctor in him got the better of him. He had to look.

The patient presents with Congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (CIPA)...

He doesn't need to read anymore to be hooked. There were few doctors in the position he had been in that didn't know what CIPA was. He had met one other doctor who had treated a patient with it. A doctor that Christine said was as arrogant and egotistical as he had been in New Jersey working at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. The two of them could barely stand to be in the same room as each other, but it had been fascinating to read the case. A girl presented at the ER with her mother. They had been in a car accident and the mother was unconscious. Despite having come into the ER with a metal rod through her leg, the girl wasn't even slightly discomforted. In the end, the doctor managed to find a 25-foot-tape worm inside the girl causing Vitamin B12 deficiency. He had operated on her while conscious to remove the tapeworm.

To see that a CIPA patient had found it's way to Metro-General Hospital was incredible. This would make the 101st known case in the world. They were being treated for general care on a near daily basis.  A person with CIPA cannot feel pain or differentiate even extreme temperatures. "Anhidrosis" means the body does not sweat, and "congenital" indicates that the condition is present from birth. It made sense that they needed such extreme care and physician attention. How they made it to the age they were now without the constant care, he was unsure.

He was also unsure of how Christine expected him to help someone like this. It is an incurable disorder.

Notes
  • Absolutely no Non-Con.
  • Would be comfortable having the game be No-Smut, but this is not a requirement. Totally okay with a relationship forming.
  • I'm willing to play as Strange or the OC Patient.
  • OC can be anywhere on the gender spectrum. Strange's sexuality will lean towards whichever we decide on.
  • Not strictly following the MCU timeline. Infinity Wars will not play a part (and don't give me any spoilers).
  • Whomever is going to play the OC will have to remember that CIPA makes describing things strictly on a visual basis.
  • Game would be focused on Strange taking the OC in as his apprentice.

Magic in a Bottle

Daniel Drumm returns from a recent trip with a new artifact. A simple looking jar made of jade. The jar oozes with magical energy and Drumm states that village where the jar was recently dug up says it's cursed. That since they found it, the weather had been going crazy, animals acting up, and all sorts of bizarre things. He decides that it is indeed some kind of magical artifact, but is are unable to find any known information regarding it. The jar ends up stored away in one of the various holding cases in the Sanctum near the Rotunda of Gateways. The jar sat there undisturbed for some time.

During the fight with Kaecilius and his Zealots, the case holding the jar (and many other cases and artifacts) is smashed, sending the fragile jade jar to the ground hard enough to break the seal around the top. While trapped in the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, Kaecilius witnesses a stream of green smoke sliding from the jar and out one of the Gateways. A second stream of red smoke slithers out, but disappears into the depths of the Sanctum.

After returning to the Sanctum as it's new Master, Strange finds the freed being draped in red cloth unconscious on the floor with jade cuffs around it's wrists and ankles. When it wakes, it claims to be a Djinn that was trapped inside the bottle quite some time ago. It says that there were two of them and that it had sacrificed itself to be sealed away with the other one. With the help of a previous Sorcerer, they were able to be sealed and prevent the dark Djinn from causing an event similar to the Black Death from happening again.

Notes
  • Absolutely no Non-Con.
  • Game would be very adventure focused.
  • Djinn magic will differ from Strange's abilities as all consequences to it's magic are immediate and require no spells.
  • Djinn can anywhere on the gender spectrum. Strange's sexuality will lean towards whichever we decide on.
  • I'm willing to play as Strange or the OC Djinn.
  • Not strictly following the MCU timeline. Infinity Wars will not play a part (and don't give me any spoilers).
  • Djinn is well aware of modern life (because magic, of course), though has not interacted with it.
  • Djinn are not necessarily good and evil, but more influences of luck. Good Luck and Bad Luck.

Fairy Magic

While traveling to the Dark Dimension to face Dormammu, Stephen Strange woke up something else. Hundreds of years ago, the Fae abandoned Earth. It was too dangerous for them to stay and so they chose to close themselves off in their own pocket of space and time. The immense magic that it took to do that caused them to fall into hibernation. The flicker of time caused by Strange's time loop while facing Dormammu has caused them to start reawaken. Some are eager to return to Earth to see what the state of it is and others prefer to stay in their little pocket where they know they will be safe. One young fae takes it upon themself to sneak back to Earth and find the one who woke them. They hope that this Sorcerer who was powerful enough to wake them from hibernation will be able to help them convince their kind to come back to Earth. With the rouge fae returning to Earth, an ancient evil rewakens with the hopes of finishing what it started. Devouring the Fae to gain their powers and strength.

Notes:
  • Absolutely no Non-Con.
  • Fairy magic will differ from Strange's abilities by being related strictly to nature and not the supernatural.
  • Fae can anywhere on the gender spectrum. Strange's sexuality will lean towards whichever we decide on.
  • I'm willing to play as Strange or the OC Fae.
  • Not strictly following the MCU timeline. Infinity Wars will not play a part (and don't give me any spoilers).
  • Fae have not been on Earth in a very long time and some comedy using modern technology would be fun.
