Yeah, but would it be a problem for you? If got 4-5 acquaintances?

HairyHeretic

I'm kinda hesitant. I know you can link in with the other PCs okay, but it looks like it's going to be hard for you to interact with NPCs on an ongoing basis.

I'd be willing to try it and see how we get on.

Interaction with NPC's can be difficult but not impossible. Sids aren't invisible, but rather people forget about them. So he can go talk with people and interact but they forget interaction (which can be okay some cases or even advantage). Albeit he did not get the training he sorts aware already some odd aura he has and thus tries to interact earnestly with few people he knows they do not forget about him. Also spirits/gods and such remember sids easier as exalted (just need spend WP to do so).

HairyHeretic

If you're okay with the potential problems in dealing with NPCs we can try it out.

I am okay with that, it is part of the sidereal experience I actually seek when playing as sidereal :). As said haven't played one in-game before so excited for it.

HairyHeretic

Okay :)

I'll get us an OOC thread opened up tomorrow and we can move character discussions and such over there.

Re Z L

I wouldn't say it's trivial, but it isn't hard to have Solars become immune to some of the effects of Arcane Fate (it's a special Shaping effect).

Resplendent Destinies are usually the way to get around this problem, but those have their own complications (especially for a Ronin).

Especially a ronin who apparently never even got sidereal basic training?  how the hell did that happen?

Good morning my most amazing comrades and companions.  I would be deeply honored to participate!

I confess I'm rather hesitant to start putting together a concept before i know character creation rules?  Are we completely green and newly exalted save for any experience we earn for the person, place and thing?

Zenith is admittedly my go too.  i'm playing a number of craftsmen right now--though that seems to be a fairly useful concept.  I haven't played a night caste in quite some time.

hairy, I understand you're looking for character creation guidelines for God Blooded?  I'd be quite happy to provide if you were to show me who they're running with.  I can offer requests and suggestions there too....

Oh!

OMG!  *Screams*  :D

Okay!  I'll be a twilight!  Let em get her!

Muse

Church Mouse was born on the Blessed Isle.  Her mother--Parish Cat--was the music tutor for several children of House Mnemon.  Her father--Kyoto--was academic tutor to the same children--and a very distant cousin.  The blood of the dragons had grown so weak in his lineage they were not expected to produce any more Exalted children, so no one objected to his marrying a woman who was not a patrician.

Church Mouse grew up alongside the children of the Dynasty.  She knew first hand both how cruel and how heroic they could be.  Studying under her parents alongside them, she was discovered to have a towering genius for all manner of crafts, and most especially for architecture.  By the age of fourteen she was Mnemon Veritas’s assistant in manse design and studying magitech.

In her sixteenth year, she personally designed a manse for construction in Mnemon territory in the Threshold.  She accompanied Veritas and his son Tanalin to the southern province of Luminous Breakwater to personally oversee the construction.  During the first six months of the raising of the palace all went well, save that Tanelin--a lecherous and arrogant young lord--made frequent moves to seduce her, even cornering her and fondling her on the construction site.

The only reason he didn’t out and out ravish her was Veritas ordered his son not to ‘upset the architect.’

Early in her seventeenth year, a massive tiger burst from the jungle and maimed one of the workers.  As they screamed and scattered, the tiger roared and went for more of them.  Rather than vanquish the beast with the might of the dragons, Tanelin dragged Church Mouse towards a log cabin, saying she was too valuable to endanger.

With an outraged scream--even knowing she couldn’t actually use the magical weapon--Church Mouse grabbed Tanelin’s essence cannon and leveled it at the tiger.

Like the morning sun rising in her veins, her essence erupted in brilliant gold and purple power and the Essence Cannon fired, slamming the tiger into a tree and dropping it’s unconscious form on the ground.

   The world seemed to freeze.

She floated in the light that radiated from her body.

Four powerful, comforting, and very masculine arms wrapped around her from behind and lifted her high into the sky.  She looked down and saw all Creation below her.  A flat world, green and beautiful, but eroded by the Wyld and bruised by Shadowlands, anchored between five elemental poles.  She could hear the flows of essence through Creation, hear it whole and harmonious in places disjointed and sour in others.

The most beautiful and manly voice she’d ever heard whispered to her heart, “It can be whole again.”

Then the vision was ended.  Panicked men and women were screaming, “Anathema,” and scattering away from her, and Tanelin was drawing his daiklave.

Over the next month's, Church Mouse fled.  She traveled east along the desert.  All her life, Church Mouse had read of amazing networks of Manses and magitech machines that had once--and sometimes still did--support the greatest cities in Creation.  If she could study such a work, if she could restore it, then she could both earn the gratitude of the people of that nation and learn what it would take to repair Creation itself.  In honor of that goal, she has used the name Canticle of Universal Harmony ever since.

Are you still accepting players?  Admittedly, I haven't played since 1st edition.  How improved is 2.5?

HairyHeretic

We're just getting properly underway now. There are some differences between 1st and 2nd ed, 2.5 is tidying up some of the problems with 2.0 , but the basic mechanics should be familiar enough to you.

What kind of character were you thinking about?

If you want to pop along to the OOC thread, you can find links to the game threads and see what the character mix is like. We already have a good group of Solars, so Lunars,
DBs and Godbloods would be preferred.

Umm... is it not too late to try and join? (Wait never mind I just figured that out) Also what do you mean by a Person Place and Thing? Forgive my lack of cognitive thoughts

You basically write lore/info about the setting area, something that players can interact with or encounter (by ST's decision). One thing gives 3 BP for chargen, doing all three gives you 10 BP. The second three-set gives you an additional 5 BP.

Folks have so far made things related to each other; like your person is a priest, the place is said priest's temple and thing could be god/religion priest preaches about.
