I Would For You In Discussion

Inspiration: Mindhunter, Hannibal, Red Dragon, AHS: Roanoke
Genre: Crime, Modern Day (1970s—Present Day)
Pairing: MxM (preference) or MxF

Concept:
He became too close, the FBI agent, to the killer he was pursuing, a peculiar relationship developing between them.  Eventually, the stress was enough to endanger his health both physically and mentally, emotionally. He took a leave of absence from work, from his career.
He reached out to the friend who understood him the most, who had loved him in bygone years, had been his lover, but their relationship ended. Something beautiful had been ruined by his dedication to work. Yet his former lover welcomed him, invited him to stay, to heal, to get away from Quantico.

The old saltbox house was built in the 1700s, eventually abandoned to the wilds, surrounded by nothing but country and woods, dense forest. Isolated. Private.
It was a haven.

But a house that old had history, secrets, and in time, it becomes a living thing.
It holds memories, those walls, of all who have lived there.

At first, a noise is heard …but perhaps it is the breeze through the window.
At first, a creak on the stairs …but it may be the house settling.
Then there are the shadows in the peripheral …but that might be the imagination.

As the mystery of the house unfolds, the killer resurfaces and draws closer, going back to his childhood home and first hunting grounds.

Notes: Looking for a partner to write from the perspective of the FBI Agent, who would be willing to help create the plot/story, NPCs too. I’d like to explore the relationship between the men, of how intense their friendship and love once was, of healing old wounds between them, and starting over. That while they have grown as individuals, and lived apart, there is a sense of belonging together.  Possible themes: forgiveness, healing, PTSD, choices and sacrifices, isolation.

Please PM if interested.
