A Dragon's Heart (M character seeking F character / Any gender player)

First of all, thanks for taking your time in checking my thread, I really appreciate it. Now, my idea:

The story starts with a young girl (YC), a squire, who is returning to the capital city with her knight (M or F) after completing a request from the king himself. During their journey back, they set camp at night next to a cave already fairly close to the city. While her knight sleeps, the young girl decides to explore the cave and ends up going deeper than she intended. And as she ventures in, she finds, a Dragon.

In this world, Dragons have been extinct for years now. They were incredibly powerful creatures, capable of various things, from breathing fire to bending another person's mind. Because of their enormous power, humans feared them and started hunting them down. Obviously they were no match to the dragons, but eventually they started defeating them by shear number, since dragons rarely stay together and used to breed only once or twice in their lifetime.

As the girl finds this dragon, she initially fears for her life, knowing how dangerous they are, but she notices he's asleep and decides to study him a bit, her fear slowly being replaced by curiosity. As the dragon wakes up, he notices the human girl and they then start talking to eachother. The dragon doesn't understand well why the girl isn't scared of him but finds her company to be quite nice. The girl unfortunatly has to leave, as her knight is soon to wake up, but she promises to return when she can.

The story then goes on as the girl and the dragon grow closer, quickly becoming friends, the dragon even goes as far to show her his human form after he starts to trust her.

What I want with this is a story of love and romance between two different species, as the dragon starts spending more time with the girl in his human form, she starts to fall in love with him and the same goes the other way around. The problem is, nobody can know about their relationship, since humans still hate and fear dragons even though they believe they've gone extinct.
