Stargate SG-1 (freeform, interest check)

Right now this is a fairly general interest check thread to see how many people might be interested in playing in a game based on Stargate SG-1. I'm leaning towards including canon characters, and if so I would likely be playing Major Carter as the new leader of the team. Daniel and Teal'C would be playable, as well as original characters brought onto the team or any of the other teams, depending on how many players there are.

I would also be interested in the possibility of someone playing O'Neill, but it would probably be better for someone to play him as an extra character because he wouldn't see as much action as characters on one of the SG teams. To be honest I would really love for someone to play him as a love interest for Carter, and thus he would probably be retired. Of course we could always find ways to get him involved in the ongoing action from time to time as well.

The time frame I would like the game to take place in is right after the eighth season. They just took Dakara and finished off the Replicators(who won't be used at all in the game because I didn't really like them), Daniel has returned(again, lol) and Carter's father just died. The Ori will be nowhere to be found in this game either, although the canon characters of Vala and Mitchell would still be available if anyone wanted to play either of them.

Instead of the Ori, I would like to work on a plot that sees the Go'auld return to power, under one of the other system lords. A certain mentioned but never really revealed alien race would also finally make their appearance.

What I'm looking for is probably four to eight players, who would be able to post at least once a week, and certainly welcome to post more often, especially in side threads and the like. The game will be freeform, with heavy doses of action and intrigue, but since this is E there will also be romance and sex for those who want it.

If this sounds at all interesting, please post here in the thread, preferably with either one or more canon characters you would like to play, or a basic outline of an original character. At some point, hopefully fairly soon, I will ask for a more detailed application, but for now I just want to see if this will be worth spending time to develop.

Definitely interested!  Stargate is one of my favorite TV franchises :)

I'd be willing to play O'Neil (with one L) and probably an original character, perhaps a Tok'ra or some other Tau'ri allied culture.

Would you be open to including the Atlantis arc? I personally think Atlantis was as good if not better than SG-1 but that's up to you :)

I love Stargate and would totally be int o a stargate game, though I take a stronger interest in a more semi-original concept much different from the original show, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread anyway.

I'm quite interested in this as well. Although if ever there's an arc for Atlantic, I'm not familiar with it, but I do know SG-1 quite well.

I'd be interested in playing Daniel, and an OC, as for the race I am unsure, perhaps a Tok'ra or an Alien of another kind entirely. I am also interested in playing a G'auld, it would be fun to play an antagonist as long as it's cool with you, I don't mind characters dying either!

I can see lots of plots,  I'm so down.
