In the past, I found a helpful banner notification here at E that directed me to protest sites for the firing of Sessions (US) which got me to joining in a demonstration.

With the tragedy in New Zealand, I started googling to find where statements could be made or gathering to support Muslims in my community could be done.  Couldn't find anything.

Hints, suggestions or whatever would be much appreciated.

(The Help banner says ask anything.  This falls into that broad category--I think.  If there's a better location, more than happy to head there once I'm told).

Check with you local media outlets - radio and television stations - to see if they can connect you to organizations who are offering aid.  This information may not show up on an internet search.  You might also want to see if any of the mosques in your area are looking for donations as well.

Per advice, I'm trying to track through local media.  It's still a slow go, but I think I may have some leads.

But, please advise for all, including me, if something occurs.

In my neck of the woods, I ran across this article which is one of many rallying to support all.  Here's the article if you're interested:

NZ's leader, a true leader, speaks for many, me included: ". . . we utterly reject and condemn you!"

A good way is to find if there is a Muslim's community center near you and contact them. Preferably one certified by the local governing body.

I believe this is the best and easiest way to do so.

B's Mistress: Snagged an editorial by a columnist and emailed her to urge providing information.  Radio announced a vigil tonight which I can't make, but it's good to see.  I'm sure more to come.

Formless: Yes, good idea.  I've found one--emailed them.  My current plan is to join the community for Friday prayer (noon).  I have to make sure that I'm not intruding.  Maybe recruit friends to do the same.  (Funny.  I've moved away a long time ago from institutional prayer, circling back).

If you’re a Muslim, you’re not intruding.

If you’re not a Muslim, then it is best to wait till the end of prayer. There won’t be any intrusion.
