So I had this idea for a group rp made in the spirit of those over the top martial arts manga/anime series which at times make  one wonder if the creators are either using hallucinogens and or overly obsessive. A story of brutal fights where people of seemingly impossible physical prowess beat the ever loving shit out of other people possessed of similarly inhuman physical prowess and skill.

Yes there is a plot to this,but I don't want to give too much away. Basically it revolves around the perhaps unoriginal idea that in the world of martial arts, there exists and underbelly/secret side where bloody tournaments are held, science defying techniques are put to use, conspiracies ebb and flow around the fists of various fighters, and superhuman masters watch over all as if they are grim Deities of battle watching these furious contests of the fighting arts as if they seek to choose disciples from among them or join their dojo themed valhalla in the hereafter.

The set up assumes that the characters aren't just skilled, they're prodigies of seemingly supernatural talent trained in one or more styles, the sort of people legends are formed around. They can be as urban legends spoken of in hushed tones in underground fighting circuits or in the streets, relatively unknown newcomers who the world has yet to see the true potential of, or figures famous as teachers or prominent in mainstream combat sports. There is qi/ki based stuff, but there won't be quite as much of that toward the beginning. Fighting styles could be actual martial art styles or entirely fictional, though preferably one would provide a description of what it would look like. For example, "this style resembles of mix of Hung Gar and Xingyiquan or Judo and Krav Maga". They can also be skilled in more than one style as previously stated.

Anywhooooo....I mostly just wanted to see if there was any interest for this sort of thing here.
