Is there any restriction on source material?  Like third party or whatever?

3rd party stuff would need approval by me in a case by case basis. path of war, despite having the one feat allowed, would be denied :p.

How much acquatic shit are you thinking to include Ryu? I ask because I might be debating taking the child of two worlds feat at level one. Just something I think would make for some good role playing material is all as well as give the party a possible asset in the long term.

Don't worry about it. If, by the time, you all decide to do anything aquatic related, you'll be of the level to buy magical items or use spells effectively to cover for it. Right now it'd be very useless.
