Every time I sit down to start this, something happens. I'll return to it!
No problem, I do that all the time. Sometimes I can't get a long stretch of time to sit down and write so I will actually go back and edit bios. Whatever works.

Bio
Hayden had always followed the script. He experienced the awakening, joined a school of magic, conducted his studies without incident, became married, was assigned an Originator - everything was going as it was supposed to. Surprisingly, a true romance developed between Hayden and his assigned wife, but the love quickly soured. Hayden would not realize the depths of jealousy his wife harbored towards their Originator for being able to bear his child - something she could never do. An incident occurred that resulted in the quiet disassembly of their Triad. The Originator was reassigned, his marriage annulled, and his wife taken away to receive a lesson as to what her role in a marriage was. Hayden was sent to a neighboring kingdom, Ironfall.

Since then, a quiet resentment and self-loathing has been building within Hayden towards the Council for destroying his marriage and towards himself for not fighting it. While he sees himself as superior to the Mundane, he is starting to see a way to use their cause to his gain.

This sounds awesome. I love the face claim too. :) I like how he is new to Ironfall. His history will definitely make for some interesting storytelling.

I think I could clarify - he could definitely be an ally to the Freedom Fighters, but hasn't quite made the jump.

Esoterica

I like how a lot of you all are deciding to go unattached with your characters. It will give the chance for relationships to form somewhat organically over the course of the story.

I do need to create a few Mundane Slaves. They may not be factoring into the story in a huge way to start with, but they may become more necessary later on.

Bio

Nadia's mother Fara was from the Kingdom of Bakshan, and her father was from Ironfall, and a member of the Trenatian ethnicity. This makes her half Bakshi, and half Trenatian. Nadia was born a slave, but is also trained as an Oracle, Priestess and Healer of tribal people. She does not use Magic, but knowledge and wisdom lost to the rest of the world to treat the illnesses and injuries of the people of Ironfall. The Bakshi considered here a sacred person, on par with the Orignators in their ancient culture. She is also revered by the Trenation of Ironfall for her knowledge of a lost art and ability to cure many illnesses and injuries that most people should succumb to. She is called the Green Witch by the people of Ironfall, and the Wise One. Some more traditional Spellbinders believe she is a Prophet of these times. The Council as a group has been subjecting her to experiments for years trying to turn her into the Chosen One, the one Unconquered Spellbinder. She is the only person in history who has undergone multiple failed imbuings and survived the process, so the superstitious among the Spellbinders believe she can ultimately conquer the curse and set the Spellbinders free of it.

Nadia is only assigned to the most prestigious of Spellbinder's and is under the protection of the Council. While most slaves can be killed at whim, no one would dare eliminate her, as she is far from expendable in their eyes. She is kept like a pampered pet. When she is not healing the wounded she is dancing for others. She has another talent, one that she is revered for, and something all of the nearly extinct Bakshi know how to do. She has mastered the art of the dance. She dances for guests and sometimes is used as a lightning-fast assassin of their enemies. This is something noone is said to be able to do quite like a Bakshi. She is treasured and she knows it, and she is not humble about it at all. She wants to become the Unconquered one, the one of Prophecy, but few know that she wants to do this so she can lead the slaves in a revolt against the Spellbinders. She is just biding her time until she can.

Bio

Niles Bennet, or 'Ben' as he is commonly called was renamed Ben Ashur in the Training Center for the Mundane slaves when he came of age. This was done as a punishment, but it never really did break his spirit. He is a hothead, and a fiesty man, who bends but never breaks, as members of the Resistance say. He has said the words 'My name is Niles' and has been backhanded for it so many times he lost count. He has not stopped saying it yet.

His Mistress and Master were recently killed. He was suspected of the crime at first, but proof that it was Magical has surfaced. He may not have been responsible, but he has been blamed, and he was sent back to the Training Center for a month before being put on the Auction Block again.

Nadia Bennet is the half-sister of Niles. This has saved his ass from being killed for his defiance. She says if anyone kills her brother, she will no longer relay her prophecies from the Lord of Light, and she will no longer share her healing arts with the people of Ironfall, and Nadia gets what she wants, at least within reason.

I had the idea when I started the bio for Nadia Bennet, the Mundane Slave to make her a 'Green Witch'. a Green Witch is not really a Spellbinder, but someone who knows the ancient secrets of herbal healing. There is more to her than that, she is an Oracle, and someone who has survived the Imbuing rituals used to try and turn someone into a Mundane. In fact she is the only person who has ever survived the rituals. More superstitious people believe she is the Prophesied One. She is also a dancer and a trained assassin. I think she is going to be a lot of fun to play.

I am thinking May 7th as the latest estimated start date. It may actually be earlier than that. I think I have just about everything in place.

All right guys, I finally got a starting post up this morning. We are going to begin with a Harvest Festival in the Kingdom of Ironfall. It will be a mix and mingle kind of thing to get things established before we break off into a couple of separate smaller household threads.
