Pirates! (Seeking Female Characters)

Hi there! First off thank you for checking out my interest thread! I hope this message finds you well wherever you are and even if the writing ideas don't interest you have a good day!


Without further ado

I'm looking to get something pirate related going! I love the genre, history, and just general fun of a pirate story and it's been a good long time since I got to write one. I'm looking for female characters in any of the following ideas.


"Mrs. BLANK I presume?"


I'd like to do something involving a married woman currently crossing the Caribbean Sea with her husband. The marriage is new, about a week or two (though that's also up to my writing partner) and the relationship has been very... lack luster. This was an arranged marriage and the husband has all the personality of a piece of wood! His abilities in the bedroom have also been somewhat... lacking.

Enter my character, who has decided the vessel is to big a prize to just ignore. He and his men attack the ship while en route and take the man and the woman hostage. What happens next I'd love to discuss with my partner. I can see it going a number of ways. It can be dark, light, or more of a romantic adventure depending on what my partner thinks.

"You're on a pirate ship boyo!"

This one involves a young man from a poor farming village. Instead of following in his fathers footsteps and HIS fathers footsteps the young lad decides a life on the sea if the life for him. He runs from home, and finds himself in a fishing port where he joins what he thinks is a merchant ship.

It's not... instead it's a pirate ship! A pirate ship that has a very unique captain. I am looking for either a "Pirate Princess" who inherited the ship from her father OR a "Pirate Queen" who has been doing this for sometime. Either way the man decided to stick it out and a romance forms.
