introduction

Thank you for taking the time to look at my request!

I, like many people I'm sure, have been hoeplessly addicted to Baldur's Gate 3. I didn't know anything about D&D or that world before playing it, but I was absolutely enthralled by the lore and all the characters. I brought across my beloved Skyrim OC and have been roleplaying her in the game. I'm only up to Act 3 but I am absolutely desperate to write a roleplay within this world.

As of the current moment, I am seeking a story not involving the Tav protagonist or Mindflayer tadpoles or anything similar! I'm seeking something independent and standalone. I am absolutely okay with having set in the same time as Baldur's Gate 3, including all The Absolute-related story beats, but my OC is not the game protagonist, and is instead her own character.

Now, here's the main point! I am specifically seeking someone to write either Mizora or Raphael. I fell in love with both of them when I first encountered them, which is a horrible indication of myself, that I adore the 'shadowy offer from a very untrustworthy but powerful being' trope. I adore it because it plays on the insecurities, desires and convictions of the protagonist. It also doesn't help that both their designs are so hot, their personalities so unique, and their voice acting is absolutely wonderful.

This leads me into the important information about Elyse, who is my precious OC from Skyrim and my earlier Tumblr writing days! Here is Elyse's information from my Skyrim request thread. I've changed her name from Elise to Elyse just so she slides a little more seamlessly into the world of Faerun.

But first! You must listen to this track because it captures Elyse perfectly!

elyse

The main changes are that, rather than her father's death being a result of the Imperial/Stormcloak conflict, here her father's death was at the hands of Zhentarim mercenaries. She comes from a wealthy family line residing in Waterdeep. Her father's death was the result of a bitter trade feud with another highly influential citizen of Waterdeep. The crime was unpunished and Elyse was never able to find out why he was killed and who employed the Zhentarim, as her father was very discreet about his trades. Her father's business was overtaken by another citizen and she was left with very little wealth to her name. This led her down a path that resulted in her joining a guild of thieves and street urchins. Two years spent learning their craft allowed her to build her own resources, which she now uses to find the Zhentarim who killed her father, and find out who was the one who hired them to kill her father.

The core conflict for Elyse is her morality. She believes there is a fine line between revenge and retribution. She is set on murder and killing those who were responsible for her father's death, but she still believes herself better, and she does everything in her power to remain on the moral high ground to the Zhentarim and any run-of-the-mill assassin/rogue. Thus, whenever she is faced with conflict, she is very pragmatic and avoids violence as best she can. However, in instances where violence is unavoidable, she is emphatically non-lethal. Her arrows are always aimed at legs or arms, and never at anywhere fatal. It's a kind of moral hypocrisy. She doesn't believe killing the Zhentarim and their client is morally wrong, in fact, she feels it's justified. Thus, she never calls it revenge, but instead refers to it as a debt or retribution. This makes her a wonderful toy for someone like Raphael or Mizora. Elyse is balancing ever so delicately on the tightrope of morality. What would happen if she was given just the tiniest of nudges?

Which leads to the plot ...

plot

The trail of breadcrumbs had vanished. Every lead she had went cold. Everytime she thought she had something, it slipped like sand in her fingers. She was back to where she started, crawling around in the dark. It seemed hopeless, that she would never find the Zhentarim who killed her father, or the client who initiated it. Worse, the walls were closing in on her. Word had spread that a girl with hazel-brown hair was asking questions and knocking on doors. She was ambushed once and barely got away with her life; how long until it happened again?

She needed something. She needed someone.

However, if a hand was offered to help her, what price would she be willing to pay? Or worse, what would happen to her soul should she be nudged down an even darker path?

premise

The premise of the plot is very simple! Elyse has run out of options. She has no leads, no information. Worse, she had lost her anonymity. The Zhentarim had caught on about a girl asking questions. At this rate, she would never find the men, or she'd be killed before getting there. This is where Raphael or Mizora come in. Just how could they resist a desperate soul like this? One who seeks revenge, but is still desperately clinging onto morality, as though she believes she can bloody her hands but still keep her soul clean.

The interactions would involve Mizora or Raphael providing Elyse with what she needs, but, as is always the case, terms and conditions. This would, of course, include sexual content because oh my god both of them are so hot, but also more thematic corruption. Elyse is teetering on the edge of darkness. One push would lead to either her relinquishing her desire for revenge and living clean, or falling even deeper into her cold retribution.

In summary!

  • Raphael/Mizora is intrigued by Elyse's desire for revenge, they offer to help find her get revenge
  • Elyse accepts, knowing full well the cost of the deal
  • Raphael/Mizora lead Elyse along a path that pushes her to make 'chaotic' decisions in order to nudge her off her moral high-ground
  • Her actions, coupled with the sexual relationship with Raphael/Mizora, slowly corrupts Elyse
  • Bad end where Elyse 'falls' into darkness and ends up serving Raphael/Mizora for the rest of her life

themes/content

  • Corruption
  • Manipulation
  • Subtle dom / sub dynamic
  • Morality and revenge
  • Bad end

In regards to kinks, we can absolutely discuss this! Please check my O/Os to see the type of content I enjoy! I am super considerate of my writing partner though and I always want to make sure they are okay with the kinks.

I am actually thinking about plotting with an Astarion, but I haven't quite thought of anything yet ...

The dirt of the city streets had never been closer to her than it was now. Slumped against a wall, down the end of a godforsaken back alley, the girl nursed herself. She clung to life, desperately. Each panted breath a yearning for air. Each breath finding just a tiny bit less than the one prior. There were two incisions in her - one in the abdomen, one at her lower back. Both were on the right-hand side, as her attacker had grabbed her from behind and struck front and back in quick, decisive fashion. It was definitive. There was no saving her. The attacker knew exactly how to end her life in a way that would never be seen. A single blade in a destitute alley, leaving a young woman drunkenly staggering to death’s door.

A single thought ran through her mind. Circling over her consciousness, a bird of prey hovering high above.

If only.

If only she had seen it. If only she had been perceptive enough that she was being followed. If only she had fought back.

Then, there were the thoughts of the past few weeks.

If only she had been more careful. If only she hadn’t played her hand so early. If only she hadn’t knocked on this door or that door. If only she had the connections.

If only.

The girl gasped in pain as she fought to keep her posture straight. Her back had slumped, causing her to sink lower and lower to a prone position. With a guttural cry of pain, she pushed herself back up to a better posture, her back sliding up the dirty wall behind her. Her right hand returned to clasp over her abdomen wound, pressing down hard, so that she might stymie the bleeding. It was too late. The leathers that she wore were now soaked with blood over the wounds, professing the stream that flowed from the combined wounds.

What would the average person do in their final moments, just as she was? Would they claw at the ground, desperate to pull themselves towards someone or something that could save them? Would they cry out in fear that their life was leaving them, yearning for help? Or would they simply just accept their lot, and just drift away?

The girl’s head leaned back against the dirty brickwork behind her, her hazel brown hair a mess over her face. The pain was sharp and apparent, but her breathing had now slowed, as though she was one of those previously mentioned - who had accepted her fate.

“… so stupid.” She muttered in regret. “If I just had… another chance.” A gasp for air followed by a chest-deep cough. Pain shot through her immediately, as if to exacerbate her mindset of regret.

Then, her thoughts did what she was terrified they would do. Her thoughts drifted to her father, and his final moments. His eyes wide. Faded. Lifeless.

She didn’t want to die like that.

“Just… one.”

The pressure of her hand over the wound slowly lifted as cold numbness began to spread over her body. Eventually, her head slowly drooped to the side, her eyes lulling her into sleep. Closed.
