The Purpose
The story will take place in Brightway ... a city is tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs, and corruption. Where film stars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers. There will be partying, violence, and other themes. I wanted to make something that's not different, but a change of pace from the usual content on E. I was influenced by a mix of music, various anime, modern culture, and video games.

Mirage... is one of the oldest street gangs in Brightway. They are the sworn enemy of the WWA, an intense and ongoing rivalry. Their rivalry with the Vandals is not nearly as fierce as it with WWA. However, both gangs will still commonly fight. The little brother of Mirage's leader is dating a high-ranking member of the Vandal's much to the dismay of the leader. Most of their territory can be found in the more impoverished/run-down neighborhoods in the far east of the city, though they also have small pockets of region elsewhere - including a few affluent areas of and the popular tourist destinations. They are easily identifiable by the Kitsune masks they wear or possess on their person. As far as street gangs in Brightway go, Mirage is depicted as more honorable than their rival gangs. Coming from a background of older traditions, they are against hard drugs sold on their turf as opposed to the WWA and Vandals. They are very stubborn and refuses to adapt to changes in the criminal underworld. They are well-known, however, for committing numerous other crimes and violent acts including gun running/arms-trafficking, gang-banging, gang warfare, murder, robbery, burglary/theft, gang-related homicide, vandalism and street violence.

Wrong Way Assassins (WWA)... The WWA's have a history of a traditional, intense, and bloody rivalry with the Mirage. Precisely when the gang war started is unknown, but the rivalry between the two gangs has been in full swing for four long years. The WWA is the largest and most influential street gang in Brightway, and control most of the streets of Brightway with the Mirage being driven back within itself and a few surrounding neighborhoods. The WWA become major influential players in the drug business and establish ties with a few other syndicates, the Vandals for narcotics. The WWAs also to establish relations with the Mob for weapons. Despite their business relationship with the Vandals, they will still react with hostilities on the streets. It is possibly only the higher-ranking officers of the Vandals, and the WWA are involved in the business relationship. Unlike Mirage and the Vandals, they've branched mainstream; Music videos, Clothing, Etc. They've long since gotten rid of the star masks they once wore and wear jackets with patches on them. However, older members still wear them at times.

The Vandals... when the gang was formed, and historical events about the gang is shrouded in mystery, though they probably started forming along with the other groups ten years ago. The start and reason for their rivalries with the WWA and Mirage are unknown. It is likely that hostilities naturally developed due to territorial expansion. Their hostilities towards the Mirage have increased over the years due to their involvement in drugs and the weakening of their control - which the vandals see as an opportunity to take over possibly. They're loosely affiliated with the WWA, who were former enemies until they joined the narcotics business. The Vandals are also affiliated with the Syndicate for narcotics, some of the authorities for street intelligence. Despite reacting with hostilities to the WWA members on the streets, high-ranking members of the Vandals and the WWA's work together in the drug trade while providing protection. Unlike Mirage and WWA, most of their gang consist of women though men do fill in their ranks all members wear Oni masks or have one in their possession. The Vandals are known to be extremely violent and will often attack in huge groups from numerous directions in an attempt to swarm and flank their enemies as part of their strategy. Most of their territory consists of close-quarter areas with various alleyways and shortcuts which aids them to do this. They are involved in gang-banging, street violence, murder, gang-related homicide, gang warfare, drug trafficking/manufacturing and vandalism.

The story began fifteen years ago in the slums of xxx, where three siblings, against the will of their grandmother, ran away from home to establish themselves. Their wants differed greatly but the end goal all accumulated to the same thing, so they created RSO (revolutionary socialist organization). It was a group who practiced self-government they armed its citizens and patrols to monitor the behavior of officers of the Brightway Police Department and challenge police brutality in slums. The RSO instituted a variety of community social programs, most extensively the Free Breakfast for Children Programs, and community health clinics to address issues like food injustice. The Group enrolled the most substantial number of members and made the enormous impact.

Federal Bureau of Investigation called them "the greatest threat to the internal security of the country." Supervising an extensive counterintelligence program of surveillance, infiltration, perjury, police harassment, and many other tactics designed to undermine the three siblings leadership, incriminate members, discredit and criminalize, and drain the organization of resources and manpower. The Bureau was also accused of assassinating the three siblings causing the initial downfall and without a guiding light for the group they separated and formed Mirage, WWA, and Vandals. Each was trying to spread the same message the original RSO had set, but each ultimately being at each other's necks for stepping their boundaries. Over time the word of unification was swept away as newer members filled the ranks.

Over the last five years, a gang war broke out. The start of the war had never been publicly explained, but it started when drugs were introduced to Brightway. The gang war seemed to be going on around the time most of the current members were still growing up because since some mention older students beating up a teacher while wearing masks. The WWA started making money selling drugs while former Mirage leader refused to sell drugs, making them weaker. In the meantime, other two sets of Mirage split from the main gang, weakening the group further. After the death, its former leader, another came up and took the mantle. The funeral was attacked by WWA, but no one was hurt or killed. Many Mirage had left the gang when drugs were introduced.

The past couple of months the mayor came out publicly with the idea of attempts at the renewal of the city to make it look prosperous along with a decrease in crime. The man has oppressed the lower class societies by increasing the polices budget while at the same time allowing more leeway for more "prosperous" enterprises in the city, using the police to keep the slums and the city's seedy reputation suppressed through violence all the while the gangs continue to butts heads.
