Never too late M for F or M

Most of my life my favorite reading has been science fiction, and always more into the realm of what might be called 'hard' SF. I have found it difficult to find a writing partner here with the same bent. But recently I think I underwent a bit of an epiphany and it has inspired me to entertain the idea of exploring a bit more fantasy. This also creates some uncertainty in that it is a world that I am mostly unfamiliar with. I guess what I am trying to say that I would like to collaborate with someone in getting into fantasy worlds (I'm prepared to do homework). That individual would have to be patient with me as I learn. I'm retired so I have time but I do understand the constraints that are put on other lives. I know this is quite nebulous, but I am open, I think, to explore most any idea, and see if I can learn at my advanced age (just kidding).
