Hi! I'm Sunbeams and I want to role play with you! ^^

I really want to explore many different facets of human emotion, not just the highlights. While I love role playing those fuzzy, warm moments... it'd be nice we could also include sadness, anger, terror, uncertainty, or insecurity. Life isn't always sunshine, rainbows, and cumming so many times in a row you can't think or walk straight. Sometimes, though. Ha. I really don't want to sound drab, as I definitely enjoy romance and cute stuff despite also enjoying darker themes. Just let me know what you're comfortable with! Communication is the key.

Anyways. I want something substantial, that builds a relationship between the characters which impacts their lives deeply and the world around them, to an extent. I'm not looking for pure smut because it's just so much better when there's an attachment to the story or characters. Though I do have quite the fondness for sensual scenes. Hehe.

My characters tend to be in their early twenties, and ideally your characters are in their thirties or forties~. Hehe. Late twenties is fine too though.

I've got a couple ideas for stories/pairings I'm interested in right now.

CRAVING

Ever since a local psychologist (YC) ran an ad looking to build clientele for his new private practice, MC has developed a slightly obsessive crush on him--despite the fact that he's around two decades older than her. MC decides to set up a series of appointments, her health insurance luckily covering his clinic, with him.

Now just how obsessed she is and how that feelings changes over time is all up in the air. Mild obsession could turn into something more serious, she could start stalking him, interfering in his home life, etc... or it could be just a crush and she's just persistent about it. Or the obsession coils initially be on her side but, perhaps, he ends up becoming obsessed with her over time

I think this would just be a fun dynamic to play with, and a lot of different routes the story could take. So I'd like your ideas about this idea! We'll marry them and make it great.

Ten Things

A young musician finds herself struggling on her very first and highly anticipated nationwide tour after the popularity of her band's debut album. Only a few stops into the tour, she passes out on stage one night. After her manager thoroughly snooped around and prodded her for information did it come to light that she was incredibly mysophobic, to the point where she wouldn't eat or drink unless she could control every little variable--which was incredibly difficult, nearly impossible, to maintain on the road.

So the tour gets postponed and her manager sets her up a rigorous string of appointments with a well renowned therapist known for handling more high profile cases. At their first meeting, he tells her to make a list of ten things she'd like to be able to accomplish that she cannot do in her current condition, with one being the easiest to do and ten being incredibly difficult to accomplish, to their next session. Then they begin to start chipping away at the list together.

Dreaming in Disaster

A young woman gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she's employed by an agency that records dreams and streams them online to subscribed members. The only efficient way to actively read brain waves and patterns and take that data to produce accurate visual representations of people's dreams is exclusively owned and trademarked by this company. It employs people with "predictable, consistent, but visually remarkable dreams."

Essentially, the dreamers are paid to go to sleep on the job. The only downside is that their private dreams are broadcast for the world to see.

Your character is either another dreamer or a researcher for the organization, perhaps one that had a key role in developing the technology. Our characters have appeared in reach other's dreams since they could remember dreaming, aging over the years and everything. They find each other through the corporation, and our story unfolds from there.

In terms of antagonists, I have a couple ideas. One lies very much in the realm of fantasy, and the villain in this sense would be an entity that exists only in dreams but gains power from being witnessed, and spreads like a virus of some sorts. In the realm of slightly more realism, going down some dystopian corporation route would do fine, or we could just wing it. This whole idea appeals to me because there's not only the stable, real world, but through lucid dreaming and the connection between the characters, there's a whole landscape of infinite possibility.

To See Your Face

I'd also like to do something online chat-related. Something like 7 Cups (or just an anonymous imaginary chat app of sorts) where you talk to people without being able to send images/have an icon, etc. I love the concept of two people slowly falling in love, seeking human compassion through text as opposed to in person. Perhaps they live on opposite sides of the world, and meeting each other for the first time takes an enormous amount of effort and planning. Or maybe they live in the same town and know each other... Perhaps even dislike each other in person. There's a lot of stuff that we could do, and a scenario that would be made all the better with your input!

Steven Universe?

Okay, so, admittedly... I love Steven Universe. I'd love to role play a version of it where there's a female "Steven" (Nora!) instead. Or something. Heck even the canon universe with a female gem and a human. This would be kind of tricky to pull off, and we'd need to work together to come up with a cohesive story, but I think it could be really fun.

Best Friends... Forever? (Taken)

They had been friends since childhood, him being a year and a half younger than her. Inseparable though they were, their personalities and home lives couldn't have been more different; she lived in the trailer park, in an overcrowded two bedroom mobile home where alcoholism and hard drug use were a casual occurrence. He lived in a nice neighborhood, everything he desired had always been provided to him.

He was sheltered and she was so brash. Despite their differences, they were the best of friends. When he was picked on, she'd be at the bullies throats like a rabid beast. She had prided herself in always being so much stronger than him, but this had changed during puberty--the boy she considered to be almost like a little brother had grown into quite the spectacular young man.

Their friendship being a somewhat sacred thing to them, they had never even considered dating or fooling around. Any time they had personally considered the idea, they convinced themselves that it wasn't a good idea to potentially throw away a lifelong friendship just to give a romance a shot, even if there were some strange feelings between them.

After becoming homeless (potentially after a domestic abuse situation with a to-be ex or something), she gets taken in by her friend who she had been seeing less and less, who she felt so inferior to, and we go from there.
