Sweetbread

~ ~ ~ Hi hi! ~ ~ ~
Welcome to a concerningly unprofessional post! I go by Sweetbread, and today, I'm going to dump as much information on you as possible to help you decide whether or not you'll like what I want to roleplay!

So, what am I lookin' for?
I'll elaborate on the title! I'm looking to privately roleplay long-term romance with female-presenting main characters in a variety of genres and plots, as long as they aren't too dark and/or dramatic!

Whadda heck is "female-presenting"?
When I say this, I mean that the character is female in appearance and expression, regardless of what she has down there. The pairing is ultimately up to you though! If you're confused by that wording, see my Ons and Offs thread (linked in About Me), because I'm not sure I can clarify it on a more public board.

I will also add that I'm only interested in human main characters! There can be a few exceptions for almost-human species like elves, but I cannot guarantee approval and you'll have to ask me for specifics. I don't like fur or scales, and hybrids like catgirls are included here.

Right now I am selectively looking for new partners! I am not accepting new FxF and 'FuxFu' pairings.
I deeply apologize if you were interested in those :c

~ ~ ~ About me ~ ~ ~
The thread you're currently reading is just for what I want to roleplay, and does not give you information about whether I could be compatible with you as a writer! I know that it's long, much longer in fact, but you should read my Ons and Offs thread! It will tell you about me and what I like! Here is the link, or you can click that little blue circle under my avatar!

I am currently not interested in playing any of my own plots due to starting a bunch of roleplays that never went anywhere. I want to play a plot brought to me, or brainstormed together! Directing me to your thread is fine if we like the same pairing! These are just here so you can see what kinds of stories I've been interested in previously. Feel free to use them as inspiration!

Adorable Justice - Modernish, superheroes, magical girls, optional co-writing
Show plot
  • Originally meant to be a magical girl thing, but I made it more generalized. You can still ask me about this!
  • The tentative plan is for me to act as a sort of GM while also playing my own character. We won't go into full TTRPG levels of technicality though! I have no idea how an action-centered roleplay world work so this is highly experimental!
  • This plot can also be co-written in episodic arcs!

Metropolis A would be a wonderful utopia - except it's constantly under attack! With incidents ranging from petty theft to full-blown invasion, the city is under constant threat and calls upon the Metropolis Defense Force to command a roster of brave individuals with superhuman abilities against a variety of enemies, human and otherwise! Our characters are teamed up - together they will keep the streets of Metropolis A safe, and enjoy some hard-earned paid time off!

Super Spooky Thalassophobia Trigger Time ©®™ - Sci-fi, horror
Show plot
  • Technically in space, but set on a single ocean-covered planet.
  • Highly experimental since I'd need to figure out how to write dangerous situations without anything bad actually happening.
  • The only plot I have with an actual storyline. Unlike the others, this one can come to a set conclusion!
  • This idea was born from a weird place. I'm terribly afraid of deep water in real life - the deep end of a pool is enough to make me unironically panic - but at the same time, ocean environments fascinate me. I wanted to play around with this idea, like push at the boundaries of my fears or something, and just see where it goes. I also tossed in some horror elements, because what could possibly go wrong with escalating the fear factor of something I already can't stand?

Your character has been brought in as a contractor (not an employee, this is a very important distinction!) to assist in the lab of a tiny company outpost that is studying this uncharted planet. She will typically be assigned to jobs that require her to go out to various parts of the planet and collect samples for the outpost scientists to study. The company recognizes that an unexplored planet may have dangerous environmental factors and has graciously assigned a single security guard to escort your contractor during work. They will work together almost exclusively (technically, they need to report back to the outpost and live there, and will be connected to mission control while away from home) and find unexplained, probably horrifying phenomena outside the safety of the landing site. Rest assured though, because while I will try to make this hella spoopy, our characters won't suffer more than surface wounds. This is, somehow, still a romance!

If you don't like water, Sheltered is pretty much a land version of this!

Sheltered - Post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, optional horror,
Show plot
  • Originally the nested land variant of Super Spooky Thalassophobia Trigger Time ©®™, but I've made it standalone!
  • Horror was originally intended, but it's now optional.

The planet's surface has been rendered unlivable by an unknown fog-like substance. Over the past centuries, humanity has hidden underground while the surface has been racked by all manner of storms and mutated wildlife. In recent decades, the worst of the fog seems to have passed, allowing humans with an appropriate amount of safety equipment to explore the surface. An underground laboratory complex begins sending expeditions to the surface to collect readings and samples. Our characters are one such expedition, a couple of fresh faces hoping to lay eyes on the ruins of their ancestral homes for the first time.

Police 'n Pals - Cyber/steam/dieselpunk, mystery, co-writing
Show plot
  • Any of the -punks will do! Let me know your preference!
  • Consists of episodic story arcs written by both of us. Each arc is a case that our characters are assigned. One of us would come up with a case, guide the story along, then switch with the other upon conclusion.

Neon signs flicker to life in anticipation of the night. The Obsidian Pointe Security Department is struggling, but it would be surprising if they could keep such a massive city in check. To compensate for their lack of numbers, they've taken to hiring outside help - that's where our characters come in! One of many pairs of freelance detectives, our characters take on tasks the department either can't spare people for or simply can't handle. A setting for those who like some mystery and co-writing!

Blankets of White - Modernish, peaceful, optional co-writing
Show plot
  • Mostly built for my love of slice of life rom-coms!
  • We can take turns brainstorming and writing scenes!

Located up in the snow-covered mountains, the small town of Soothing Springs offers refuge from the bustle of city life. Some visitors even chose to become residents, drawn in by its charm and abundance of cozy amenities. The town itself has many stores including but not limited to a bakery, an arcade, a bath house, a cafe, and for the less cultured, a convenience store. The outdoors offer trails that lead to beautiful scenic views of the surrounding lands, including the big city at the foot of the mountains. When you're ready to warm up, take refuge in your own little house. Drink hot chocolate, snuggle up by the fireplace, take a hot bubble bath, binge some shows... we're talking maximum comfort in a vacation that never ends~ Unless you hate the cold, then ask me about a warmer place. I love sunshine when I'm not exposed to it!

The Witch's Tower - Fantasy, optionally peaceful
Show plot
  • Centered on coziness away from developed civilization. We can still visit towns and cities though!
  • Action is completely optional, this setting still plays out well if peaceful!

Legend tells of a witchy witch whose witchiness was the stuff of legend
Rumors around the kingdom of Loria tell of a powerful - and cute - witch living in seclusion beyond the walls of civilization. Some have tried to find her and returned unsuccessful, finding no evidence the witch even exists. For reasons you decide, your character wants to meet this witch and sets out in search of her. A good setting if you like the idea of cozying up in a rustic tower with a girlfriend and a bunch of books!

Gates of Isolation - Sci-fi, optional horror, optional game
Show plot
  • Intended to be run as a proper survival game, like simplified DnD or something. Maybe a little horror, because of the whole existential dread component of being the only two human beings around. Hm I could add a little actual horror as well...
  • This is a tentative idea, so there would need to be a lot of planning on my side. There would be survival resource management for things like oxygen, water, and food, and a combat system would need to be fleshed out as well. I tend to be occupied with things, so I would need to dedicate time to thinking about this and would only really do so if someone showed interest in this prompt!
  • You can ask for this plot without the game and/or horror components!

It's eerily silent. Your character wakes alone in a small ship, drifting in a debris field of wreckage and cargo. Wherever this place is, it's dead and empty - except for a single faint distress signal. An active shockgate also lies on the other side of the field, but who knows where it leads. Right now, you don't have the supplies to get there, and you'll need to be alive to travel. Best get to scavenging.

If you're interested or have questions, please contact me through PM! I'd love to chat even if we don't end up roleplaying!

And finally, thank you for reading through this mess. I hope you find what you're looking for, whether it's here or not!
