Seeking GM for Stormlight RPG game (non-Stonewalkers)

Hi all, I’m very into the Stormlight Archive books and am super excited to play the newly released RPG. The thing is, my live gaming group is planning to run the Stonewalkers campaign in a couple months, so I don’t want to spoil the twists and turns by experiencing it here beforehand. So, I’m looking for a game with an original adventure, maybe focused on our characters gaining access to the magic and using it (maybe in secrecy) on perhaps mercenary or expeditionary adventures. It would be fun to come up with the concept/plot goals together with a group and/or do a session 0 and planning characters together.

I prefer roleplaying via discord server, but I am fully open to roleplay on E.

I’m most interested in exploring character personality and growth, and party and spren bond dynamics in a slice of the world where they can make a difference. At least as they grow stronger.


Themes I’m looking for:

Resistance, heroics, freedom, romance (with or without smut and vice versa), and growing in both power and self-understanding, and exploring honor to oneself, one’s ideals, and one’s community.

I don’t, however, want to explore themes of abject cruelty, rape, torture, or otherwise play an evil party.

I don’t request that anybody interested know the Stormlight books’ lore ahead of time, only for the GM to read the RPG’s world guide—especially if they aren’t super familiar with the books.

And I definitely get homebrew being a barrier. I'm hoping that character building can help with some of the load, through PC backgrounds and player pitches for the types of adventures we'd be on and goals we'd have.
