INTRODUCTION

Greetings to all! I hope this post finds you well.

I am a 23-year-old guy who began roleplaying in 2021. Since then, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of partners, from the most well-adjusted individuals to those who, unfortunately, projected their personal issues onto me. I am a dedicated Star Wars fan. In fact, Star Wars is one of my all-time favorite universes, with the Prequel Trilogy being my absolute favorite among the trilogies.

My favorite era of the universe is the Clone Wars era, and my preferred character to play is Anakin Skywalker. Although I appreciate the Canon love story between Anakin and Padmé, I have explored that dynamic extensively and I am looking to try something new. I am interested in scenarios where Anakin encounters different paths — such as falling for someone other than Padmé.

One of the characters I have always felt would complement Anakin beautifully is Sabé. As Padmé’s main handmaiden and confidante, she possesses a strength and complexity that could bring out new layers in Anakin, exploring a relationship dynamic that is both fresh and unexplored. Therefore, I am looking to create a roleplay where Anakin and Sabé cross paths and ultimately fall in love, driven by circumstances both tragic and compelling.

PLOT OUTLINE

The story I have in mind unfolds differently from the events of Attack of the Clones. It begins during the quiet night when Anakin and Obi-Wan stand guard outside Padmé’s bedroom, following her first assassination attempt. However, unlike the film, Obi-Wan decides to step away to check on the security team stationed below and inspect the perimeter of the building, leaving Anakin alone in the apartment’s living area. Seizing this moment, Sabé enters the room, having been unable to sleep due to the growing tensions — marked by Padmé’s recent assassination attempt on the landing platform and the tragic loss of Cordé. Anakin and Sabé, unfamiliar with each other beyond brief encounters, decide to sit together and talk to pass the time. Over the course of half an hour, their conversation grows surprisingly comfortable, and a subtle flirtation begins to unfold. Tragically, their distraction proves costly, as the assassination attempt on Padmé succeeds in this altered version, with neither of them able to reach her in time.

After Padmé’s death, a time skip of a few weeks occurs. The Clone Wars have now begun, and Anakin has been appointed as a Jedi Knight. With Padmé gone, Sabé no longer serves as a handmaiden, and Anakin is tasked with escorting all of Padmé’s former handmaidens back to Naboo, ensuring their safety in light of recent events. During the trip to Naboo, Anakin and Sabé have the opportunity to spend time together and try to comfort each other. Both are devastated by Padmé’s loss and carry a sense of guilt, knowing that their distraction cost her life. In this shared grief, they begin to grow closer, developing mutual feelings that ultimately lead to love.

Sabé, as portrayed in Star Wars Canon, is a reserved and complex character, particularly explored in Padmé's book trilogy, where her loyalty and internal strength are underscored. However, I do not expect my partner to portray her character with strict adherence to Canon. Given that I myself interpret Anakin with a semi-canonical approach, I encourage creative freedom in crafting Sabé’s personality. My version of Anakin is more adept at flirting, less awkward, and somewhat more emotionally stable, though he retains the conflict and depth that define him. Similarly, my partner is welcome to reinterpret Sabé with unique traits and layers that suit our story.

The story can start either from that night in Padmé’s apartment, where Anakin and Sabé first connect in the living room, or from the moment Anakin is assigned to escort the handmaidens back to Naboo. Both starting points would work well to build the storyline.

WHAT I EXPECT FROM MY WRITING PARTNER

I have specific criteria regarding the identity of my roleplaying partners. While this may be seen as restrictive to some, it is essential for me. I only engage in roleplay with women. I do not feel comfortable participating in storylines involving romantic or sexual elements with individuals who, though they may portray female characters, are male in real life. This is a personal boundary that I consider non-negotiable.  Needless to say, I will only interact with adult people. I am 23 years-old, and I expect my partners to be 20+.

I place a high value on writing that is grammatically correct and of sufficient length. While I do not expect my partner to produce lengthy essays, I do appreciate responses that are detailed enough to allow for the construction of a logical and coherent narrative, where the actions and emotions of the characters can be expressed clearly. Personally, I tend to write posts that are two to three paragraphs long (excluding the dialogue), and I would prefer a partner who can match this length, or even exceed it if necessary. The key is maintaining a level of literacy and fluency in the writing.

Although I am not particularly active on the forum, I do have a considerable amount of free time. Due to my physical disability, it is challenging for me to secure stable employment, which leaves me with a lot of time to engage in writing and responding to roleplays. I am fully aware that many members of this forum have stable jobs and other commitments, and I do not expect my partners to be available constantly. That being said, I would appreciate a partner who is capable of responding at least once per day. I understand that life can be demanding, but I believe that a daily response is a reasonable expectation. Lengthy gaps between replies, such as three days or even a week, make it difficult for me to remain fully immersed in the story, as the disconnect disrupts the narrative flow and continuity.

I live in Italy, so my time zone is Central European Time (CET). However, I am accustomed to staying awake until around 3:00 AM. This means I am usually available to write until quite late in the evening or early morning hours for those who live in the United States. When it is 3:00 AM in Italy, it is approximately 9:00 PM on the East Coast, 8:00 PM in the Central time zone, 7:00 PM in the Mountain time zone, and 6:00 PM on the West Coast of the United States. Therefore, I am often able to communicate with people across various U.S. time zones during their evening hours, despite the significant time difference between our locations.

THE RATIO OF PLOT AND SEXUAL SCENES

When it comes to the ratio of plot and sexual elements, I greatly appreciate an organic balance between the development of the core narrative and the inclusion of sexual scenes. I prefer a structure that feels natural, where neither element overshadows the other, and both contribute meaningfully to the overall story. For me, the ideal balance is something akin to a 50/50 split, where the plot and character arcs evolve in tandem with the more intimate moments. I believe that emotional and physical connections between characters should complement the storyline, enhancing the depth of the characters and driving the narrative forward. I do not see these elements as separate entities but as integral parts of a cohesive whole, where each scene adds layers to the story and enriches the interactions between characters.

That being said, I am always open to adapting the balance depending on the story, but I find that maintaining this equilibrium leads to the most satisfying roleplaying experiences for me. It allows for a dynamic and engaging narrative that does not feel overly focused on one aspect, providing a richer storytelling environment for both myself and my partner.

WHERE TO WRITE?

I am open to developing roleplay stories both on the forum and on Discord. However, while I am comfortable using either platform, I do have a slight preference for Discord. In my experience, Discord offers a more intimate and flexible environment for storytelling. The ability to create separate channels helps to keep everything organized and enhances the overall experience. Additionally, the option to edit posts indefinitely allows for greater fluidity and refinement, which can be particularly useful when adjusting details or correcting minor issues as the story evolves.

That said, I am more than willing to work on Reddit as well, should that be the preferred platform of my partner. My primary focus is on ensuring a smooth, engaging storytelling experience, regardless of the medium. I simply find that Discord’s features lend themselves well to the collaborative nature of roleplay, offering both convenience and a sense of privacy that fosters a closer connection between partners. Ultimately, I am flexible and happy to adapt to whichever platform suits the needs of the story and the preferences of my partner.

IN CONCLUSION

I am excited to find a writing partner who shares my passion for Star Wars and the art of storytelling. This roleplay presents a unique opportunity to delve into the richness of the Star Wars universe and explore intriguing, complex dynamics that bring new depth to well-loved characters. My goal is to create a story that is both immersive and balanced, where plot and character connections evolve naturally and where our creativity can flourish in a welcoming environment. If you meet the criteria I have outlined and feel that our interests align, I would be delighted to discuss the possibilities further and embark on an unforgettable journey together.
