M seeking F for post apoc adventure involving mobile suits

Good day to whoever reads this.  I'm looking to play a very long term story on discord that is post apocalyptic in setting but does involve mobile suits and gundam suits as the main weapons used.  My biggest inspiration is the PS2 rpg MS Saga A New Dawn.  The story will flow like an rpg so there will be upgrading both of suits and to new suits.  There might even be a few dice rolls as well.  I'm primarily wanting my partner to play an older lady, either some kind of politician role or a fellow pilot.

Here's some backstory for those interested.

It's been 10 years since the war between the Unified Governments and the Territorial Guard died out.  A vicious war that erupted over the issue of control over the Mega Armories that suddenly started appearing 15 years ago, along with the main thing they produce:  Mobile suits.  60 feet tall piloted robots designed for combat and unstoppable except by other mobile suits.  Earth was not ready for a war such as the one that happened.

The final casualty count was 3 billion people, with around 2 billion of them being killed.  Both sides figured out that mobile suits don't really leave an opportunity for wounding or prisoners, which led to the world losing 1/3 of its population.

None of the major governments of old still exist.  The world has reverted to an almost medieval governing system where cities now became governing centers.  No boundaries of old exist anymore because of the total devastation brought about by the war.  Most in the cities are trying to rebuild and get on with their lives.  Others are always looking to take advantage of others suffering to better themselves.

One city in particular, Esperanza, built upon the ruins of old Houston in Texas, is such a place.  A city whose population of fighting age men was depleted, leaving the elderly and children around to run the city.  A prime target for a pirate group that began harassing the city 5 months ago.  With no option for peace or negotiation, Esperanza put out a call for any volunteers willing to help the city ward off the pirates.  The story of those who answered the call is what follows...
