Please read my ONs/OFFs linked in the signature below before contacting. Feel free to ask any questions! I enjoy planning over Discord the most, but all of my writing stays in threads (non-negotiable).

Setting: High fantasy, possibly leaning medieval. I enjoy magic with a clear theme or set of rules, so it's something that needs to be planned out. I heavily enjoy settings with restricted magic or magical elements isolated to a particular group of individuals. In this plot, that could come into play as magic manifesting as the manipulation of the dead and the taboo or illegality of that practice. Otherwise, I'm very open on what sort of setting I want to play so long as it fits into that fantasy archetype. My cut-off for eras I use as inspiration is the 1930s or art deco period. Nothing modern.

About MC: A necromancer of sorts, or at least that would be the closest parallel as of current. MC is a man who has lived a long life, and abandoned his family and station to pursue longevity and stave off death in pursuit of knowledge. The longer he lives, the more experiences he's allowed to gorge himself on. I envisioned him to be particularly insatiable, curious to a fault, clinical in how he expresses that curiosity and perhaps even manic. One of his external conflicts would be the inability to travel and satiate this hunger due to the forbidden art he practices. Internal conflicts include the sacrifice of life and abandonment of his family to pursue the life he wishes to live (indefinitely).

About YC: I'm extremely open to suggestions. I only require that YC not be terribly young (30s is the safest spot to be in, 25 is the absolute youngest I will allow). Suggestions in the next section below.

Plot idea(s): YC travels a great distance to serve a foreign lord, only to be preyed upon by his supposedly long-deceased ancestor who still walks the halls as a family secret. MC initially taking a great interest in the outlander in their midst. YC could be repulsed by this for a number of reasons (I enjoy a lot of conflict, especially when the two characters involved are forced to stick to one another). Additionally, there could be strife over MC campaigning to rend himself and embrace a form of lichdom, dreading his own stalled death. YC could be a soldier or scholar, but I would find it most interesting if YC held some level of academic interest. I enjoy the idea of YC and MC meeting without YC knowing who he's speaking to.

Misc. thoughts: I would also enjoy playing this lord/descendent of MC. It's been a good while since I doubled up and it would allow me to create personalities that conflict, even if the lord plays a much smaller role. When it comes to sex I'm also pretty open, but vastly prefer slow burns. I do feel it would be in character for MC to be just as explorative in intimacy as he is in every other walk of life accessible to him. It's really up to planning just how villainous he is, or how violent the plot is allowed to become.
