A One Night Stand

A party at a friend's house. A lot drinking and laughing, just letting loose and not caring for once. They had snuck away and he made it possible. He made it so easy to forget what had happened, hell, he nearly made her forget her own name. But that was all it was. A wild ride and one she would never forget.
She went into that room knowing that it wouldn't be anything but a hot night and she was okay with that. She didn't need another relationship, let alone a man trying to control her life. The bedroom was one thing, but her life, that a big fuck no.
And that night, that man had blown her mind. He turned her world on its axis and damn, sex hasn't even come close to what she had experienced under those hands since.
Did kind of suck that he had left that night to go back home, a different state on the whole other side of the country but FWB didn't last.

That night was five years ago and she had finally decided to get back out there, back on the dating scene, only with a little push from her girlfriends. She had had a couple dates here and there and finally, just maybe, the guy she was seeing now would be the man she hoped to marry.
They had been together for the last three years and he was everything she wanted in a guy. Sweet and caring, and he loved her. She was pretty certain she loved him too so if he did want to take it further, she wouldn't hesitate to say yes.

But all that was thrown out the window when she knocked and the one person who she had never thought she'd ever see again opened the door to her friend's house.

He himself was still single, that one night ruining all other women for him as well, that and with his job, other than the occasional sleeping around, he didn't really have time for women. Or at least, that was what he kept telling himself. And much like her, he hadn't thought he'd ever see her again. But knowing that his buddy's wife was a friend of hers, when he got invited to this party after moving back to town a few months ago, he wondered, kind of hoped even that he would see her. He just didn't think it would be with her holding some dude's hand...
