Transported from 2019 to 1944

This is one ive been trying to play out, with not much success. I live in hope, and hope that I can find someone to play it out.

The basic idea is that my character would be a Marine captain, in charge of a company, in the middle of a buildup to counter aggression from Russia. A new weapon developed by Russia would simply remove all people and vehicles in a designated area, but they dont know where. The weapon would be used on the Battalion that I'm a part of, transporting us, vehicles, people, tents, supplies, all of it, from 2019 to 1944.

We could appear during operation Market Garden, or near the town of Bastogne during the fighting. The major and other captains would be out of the area,leaving my character the highest ranking officer present. How would a modern battalion help the US army of 1944 to win, what alterations could they make.

I am hoping to play this out with someone familiar with the period, and the army of 1944. I've read a lot about the period, so I know quite a bit as well, but I'm hoping to play this out with someone interested, imaginative, and looking for a creative roleplay.
