Detective Story (F for M)

Hello there! So, I have a desire for a detective story. Truth be told, I've had this desire for a very long time but haven't found the right partner to pursue it with.

Basically MC is a half-demon and YC is a guardian angel. In present day they are detective team who have been on Earth for thousands of years. They have known each other in many ways. Sometimes as strangers, enemies, friends, and now lovers though touching one another causes small shocks of pain due to their opposing natures. My character is not permitted into Heaven but has done too much against her own kind to feel comfortable descending to Hell.

So, she keeps herself busy by solving cases that involve demon infestations that change/manipulate human behavior. Her first task in every case is to confirm there is a demon present. No matter how horrible the crime she investigates, she can't get involved in strictly human matters without facing severe consequences. Once she confirms there is a demon at work, though, her task is to banish them to Hell. YCs task is to monitor and assist, as well as to make sure that she doesn't go off the rails and start killing humans.

Something has started to change, though. The committee that assigns her work and has always been very leery of her seem interested in trying to replace her. If they can do that, they can kill her without fear of leaving a gap in the current security procedures they have in place. How will the two lovers navigate this betrayal and how will they both find salvation?

It's totally a love story, but here are my on's and off's. Being thousands of years old, they are fairly kinky to keep things interesting.
