Chajesdad

Updated Ratcliff "Rat" Vander above for additional connections as well as further development of the character and family. I remember that in Black Butler, an anime, the boy's family was known for specific tasks it performed for the crown. I liked the flavor that added to the story.
What were you thinking just now?

Revelation

Name: Arthur Renault
Class: Hunter
Role: (Battle): Frontline fighter/Pet support (Non combat): Minor druidic magic, tracking, exploration based skills.
History: Having lived on the frontier of the Ritus Alliance (Lyosse, a citystate that hat only recently joined the Alliance rather than seek to compete with it) most of his life, Arthur had been trained to deal with the rougher lifestyle that came with it. From hunting animals and exploring the woods, to simply being able to work out the lay of the land, Arthur had a knack for such things from an early age. Should things have gone differently with his life, it’s likely that he’d have been content with such a profession and would have happily tamed the wild frontier and helped expand his citystates borders, but fate is an unkind mistress to many.

Lyosse was one of the first Ritus citystates to fall against the undead – a lack of a solid army combined with a mostly agricultural lifestyle made it soft and vulnerable though few would actually guess that the walking would ever be a threat to such a country. When the undead descended on Lyosse, it was a horrific affair with townships being killed nearly to the man, and those few who escaped quickly spreading the word and allowing others to begin a full scale withdrawal from the citystate. The hunter had even fought the undead when a desperate defense had been mounted by anyone who could wield a weapon and was able to hold the line while civilians and non combatants fled the borders of the country to more defended, well off citystates – it was almost divine intervention when better armed and armored forces from the Alliance were able to mount a better defense and secure a route for Arthur and others to escape, and the hunter even wonders if it was some sort of divine intervention that saved his life.

Whatever the case, Arthur has seen the undead firsthand and even fought them. There’s no misconceptions in his mind about the nature of the thread, and he knew that both Avredo and Yudal wouldn’t stoop so low as to attack those who didn’t deserve it. Looking desperately for some way to uncover the nature of this threat and possibly silence it, he had eventually crossed paths with Fargold Heathfire – a man with similar interests. Pleading his case and his earnest nature was easy enough, with Arthur promising his talents towards stopping the threat that had taken his homeland from him.

Well, I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring as well.  Castlevania is an old favorite, and I'm sure I'll be checking out Bloodstained before long too.
Name: Raznik "Evil-Eye" Moorfoot.
Class: Scarred Witch (doctor)
Role: Debuff, control, secondary healing and utility

The Great Moor was one of the smaller states of the Ritus Alliance.  It's location towards the 'borders' of the Alliance meant the folks there were plenty used to danger, though even they were rather surprised when the living corpses started washing up on the shores.  Now, for all the the Great Moor is mostly miserable swamps and some drier hills, it has a surprisingly large population, mostly made up of the disenfranchised and the outcasts of other states.

It could hardly even be called a state, given it's collection of vagabonds and loose tribes didn't really get along with most authority.  However, what kept the Moor functional were the Witch Covens.  For centuries, they had controlled the Moor from the shadows, keeping all the disparate elements under control and working more or less for a common purpose.  Although they joined the Ritus Alliance, it was done only after a long debate between the Covens, to keep from being an easy target in world of rising powers like Avredo and Yudal.  Now that a new danger threatens them all, the Covens watch the leaders of the Alliance for action, to see if their commitment was worth it.

After long enough waiting for action, and not seeing it, the Elders of the Covens could not wait any longer.  Mere shoring up of defenses would not stop the more and more numerous undead from coming.  Something more active needed to be done.  It was decided at the Great Meet to send several up and coming talents to look for, find and if possible eliminate the source of this plague.

Raznik had always been in a tough spot at the Moor, being a half-orc, but his burning determination to forge a path for himself made him approach the orcish shamans and witches for apprenticeship.  Normally they wouldn't entertain the idea of training a half-breed, but it was only recently that the Meet joined the Alliance, and one of the few conditions was equal opportunity for training.  Not to say it needed to be made easy, or even really possible for most people.  The training was harrowing, but Raz never gave in.  Even as his flesh was scarred and his mind scoured, his iron will and determination never wavered.  After a few years, it was clear that he was a breed apart from the apprentices who came from famed witch lineages.  His endless thirst to prove himself drove him forward with a fury the others could not match.

Now with his apprentice times over with the scars and ink to show for it, Raznik approached the missions of the Coven with some disdain, but he was determined to force his way to the top of the Covens, so he did the work and he did it well.  It was for this reason he was one of the few who would be sent on clandestine missions to other lands to look for the source of the undead scourge plaguing their lands while the Alliance leaders bickered with shadows and wasted time building near-useless defenses.

In terms of bio. I would like to work on her int/cha and take her into a mad scientist area. Studding outdated lore and hacking her sleep cycle with the hag heritage. Her parents were raising her an engineer but during changing puberty, she rand away and ran away from home. When into odd places and end even bounded with a dragon. Eventually returning home, but nothing was the same afterwords. Her hag heritage awaking, sleep changed, she started painting on walls, reading old books and diving deep into since that same be call dining and slowly replaced with steam bit by bit. Yet she is pushing it new heights (lv 6 would be dip into Eclectic Researcher, Wizard for spell crafting). At the time of the war, she was screaming about some plot involving eldrige gods, but of course, she wasn't taken seriously. After all, she already had a reputation of lunatic and likly a witch, so what does she do? Throw herself into a hear of battle to collect evidence. You know, like a crazy person. At least this would at the outline.

Pockets

Did up a character sheet for Takeo, added some non-combat roles for him on his sheet.

Isengrad

Name: Alex banecroft
Sex: Male(looks female because of fiendish heritage)
Class: Grammaton Cryptic
Home town: Libria, Avredo
Role: Ranged fire support, Stealth operative, possible builds can include first aid and light healing.

Biography:
Following the industrial revolution of the Northern lands, the practice of worship began to fall by the wayside. No longer were acts of nature attributed to the gods but instead it was starting to get explained away by science and explored by the arcane and other such exploration of science magic and beyond. Different schools of thought were bound to arise and one such school took everything down to it's basic function. In the heart of Avredo, in the small city of Libria a knew school of thought was born, that of the Geometers. The theory being that every thought, every concept had a shape, and if you could recognize the pattern you could shape reality by translating that pattern into the real world. To the people of Libria, the reverence of this simple truth almost bordered on divine worship, and the Temple of Sacred Geometry was born that year.

Alex was left on the temple steps shortly after his birth, his mother unknown he was taken in by the temple and raised as an Apostle to the new truth the Temple offered. Early in his life the Geometers found that he had the inborn gift to translate thought into reality, and his schooling began in earnest. His intellect was nurtured along with his body, he learned how to see through and recognize the geometric pattern of many things, and more importantly he learned how to disrupt that pattern and destroy them from the inside out. Trained as a Grammaton he learned how to handle firearms and most simple weapons, his training focusing on movement and swift strikes. So as he grew, his skin became decorated in the geometric patterns that he could will into the world, forming an intricate and beautiful pattern on his skin.

The last draft he was to young for, but his seniors, those that had become full Grammaton were called into service, and he was left as one of the few still in training. Only a few came back and the little town had another taste of the horrors of war as most of the young men and women that went to war did not come back, and those that did were left scarred. So when the nations were attacked by what appeared to be the same force, the Geometers felt the math did not add up. As the leaders fell into squabbling and the threat of war once again loomed on the horizon the Elders heard of the appeals of Fargold Hearthfire, and when he sent out the call for heroes to assist him when the talks failed they sent Alex to help.

Personality:

Law is the governing factor for Alex, the immutable truth of mathematics, the base science. So sometimes his words can be cruel, can be blunt and truthful to a fault. But still he has an outgoing personality, he smiles easily and sometimes without reason (though it may be just to confuse his enemies.) He can be a bit excitable as well, still young as he had just reached the cusp of manhood. As he grows and is influenced by his comrades he may change.

The ones whom I will list here are hereby invited to this campaign. It is late at night and I will be organizing and setting up google doc folders and forum posts for us tomorrow. But since I have listed out the creation guidelines in the first post, these 6 players are allowed to now make their character sheets.
