Kingdom Come Down- Biblical apocaplyse ( Angels and demons and Humans)

Kingdom Come Down-

   Really interested in the biblical apocalypse at the moment. Setting would ideally the modern day but it can be adapted.  I would like the story to have an angel/demon, or supernatural/mortal, but I originally envisioned it to be a story between the angel and demon, trying to survive and forced to work together to stay alive while their fellows tear themselves and each other apart.
Either by the violent revolt, or just the indifference of a passive God, the entire kingdom of heaven has fallen. Lesser angels simply fall to Earth, mortal now and helpless to change anything with the meager power they still have.
  Most simply die as the host of Hell takes over, or wander uselessly until they drop, given over to despair and death. Others band together and fight, for themselves and survival, for a dead concept of "Goodness", at odds with the demons that now roam the world, killing humans and angels and demons alike, or against the tragic Higher Ones, The higher ranks of the angels that were twisted into monsters by the pain and loss of Heavens falling, that now rove a damned world for blood. Blood of their own, if they can help it. ( Heavily inspired by descriptions of Angels in the higher ranks of Heaven's Hierarchy, too many wings, or eyes,..lets get scarily creative! It depends on your tolerance for body horror)

I would ideally like to play the angel character, reticently unceremoniously thrown out of heaven and trying to deal with that, while also trying to stay alive. They started out trying to help the mortals, swearing that they were an angel of mercy, but either get chased off by people thinking them crazy or from the religious who now regard angels just as they would regard Satan himself. Now, its every creature for themselves.
- Like I usually say, if this (or something like it) is the role you would rather play, I'm happy to let you. and if this idea sparks something else you want to do plotwise, I'm all for hearing that too. I like my idea but Our idea could be even greater so don't be shy!

Im not quite sure if I want the goal to be fixing the broken world or just making it a safe-ish place for the rest of the beings on earth to live out how ever many days they have left on this new plane, but I wanted the action and drama of it all to be the focus.
