Collaborative Sandbox/Worldbuilding? (Based on CYOA Prompts)

So I recently (like a month ago) stumbled across... you might call it a new incarnation of the old-school Choose Your Own Adventure books, or at least it's inspired by (and named after) them anyway.

Whatever it is, they're basically these one to many paged pictures where you either get a number of points to spend on different abilities, perks, items, and various other types of customization, usually around a certain theme or narrative, or goal, or you just pick an option from a pool of choices or... I"m not doing a good job of explaining this, why don't I just link to where you can find some. Warning many of these are NSFW.

So my point is, I've been really enjoying these, and I think they are great for inspiration and would really like to start a game based on one of these. I'm open to suggestions if anyone else sees a really good one, but there's one that I really enjoy the story potential of. Not sure if this would be just like a collaborative writing exercize, or... I used to play a game on another forum called Lords of Creation, which is where we all played gods and had this point system that let us define things about the world and was all about literally building worlds and cultures and stuff.

So yeah, at this point I'm just looking to open up discussion about this, see if anyone else is interested, and I'm rambling and stuff, so I'm going to shut up!
