Post apocalypse - The undying wanderer (M seeking F)

The war was almost 300 years in the past now, the world finally beginning to flourish again. People of any and all races were banding together to rebuild civilization for a chance at a normal life where a family can raise their children in relative safety. While mutated creatures and people still wander the slowly healing waste they are normally eliminated by travelling caravans as they pass through.

With the revitalization of society comes many different things. For one girl it was the legends and myths that interested her most, particularly the story of the wanderer who had been around since before the war and still wandered the wastes to this day. She was fascinated with the idea of an undying man.

According to the story he wore leather armor dyed black and always wore a gas mask. His eyes were glowing rubies that grew brighter when he was angered. He stood at 7 or 8' tall and used a series of crystalline weapons to defend himself and others.

The girl, a woman grown, decides to head out and find this immortal wanderer. She saw no trouble with seeing if the rumors are true. What she winds up finding is not what she expected, but far more than she bargained for.
