Microphone help [SOLVED!]

So, for some reason my laptop microphone keeps muting itself and I can't figure out why. And when I plug in my headset, it mutes that microphone too.

I've tried a lot of different fixes, and nothing seems to work. I unmute the mic, but then it just mutes itself again after a few seconds. I've never had a problem like this before, and it's really frustrating.

If anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it!

So, all of a sudden it works now.

I don't know what happened, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it stays working.
