CLOSED

Hey there, everyone!

This is just a little one-off idea I've recently been fleshing out in my mind for a while now. I've finally decided to go ahead and advertise it to find a partner. Before you get too far into reading this though, please keep in mind that I have no intention to make this a "traditional" request thread. I'd like to keep this simple and centered around this single idea. If you're interested in getting to learn more about me, what I write, and how I write, please feel free to check out my post history, or check out my O/O's.

Now, before I start detailing my idea, I'd like to also take a moment to lay out some of my requirements, in terms of what I am looking for in a partner:

- Literacy & Post Length - If you do your homework, and take a moment to search through my post history, you will find that I can easily flesh out quite a few paragraphs. I currently have one story I am involved with where I write at a minimum of two paragraphs, but that's not really my style/preference. I am definitely more of a quality over quantity type of gal, but I don't think you can do a reply justice with just two paragraphs. That's my personal opinion. In terms of literacy requirements, I tend to be more forgiving. We all make mistakes. By no means am I some grammar nazi. I just ask that you at least try to make an effort to proofread before posting a reply.

- Frequency - I'm looking for someone who can, at minimum, reply once every couple of days. Preferably, someone who can post once a day. Keep in mind that I try to post at least once a day, but sometimes it does end up taking me a few days, depending on how crazy work has been.

- Characters - In case my thread subject wasn't clear enough, I am looking for someone to play a male, who will be paired with my female character. I don't care what gender my partner is, as long as they are willing to play this role/sex.

- Story over smut - I think this is pretty self-explanatory. I prefer to focus on the story. That's not to say I don't enjoy a good sex scene, but if we're constantly in a smut scene, I'm going to get bored.

- Enhancing the story - Keep in mind that this idea is meant to be left vague in certain places. What I want is for someone to come in and add to the male character's history and personality. Everyone is different, and by no means do I want to restrict my partner to a detailed, set-in-stone character. I do have a few things about this male character that I prefer not to change, however, and I will explain those very soon.

My Character

So before I get to the actual story, I do want to talk about my character, since her background is super important.

Allison Carson

Allison was raised by her father - a single parent. Her mother passed away when she was young, too young to remember, in fact. For as long as she could recall, it had been her and her father. He was a FBI agent, and former military special forces, prior to that. As part of the FBI, he'd made a career out of bringing down drug rings and crime lords, until one day it killed him. She was 13 years old when it happened. Her father's partner, Joe, who was practically family after having worked alongside her father for decades, was the one to to break the news to her. She was devastated. Her entire world fell apart, ripped right from beneath her feet. Since she had no living relatives, she became a ward of the state. Joe and his wife ended up taking her into their home as foster parents. They were good to her, but she'd changed after her father's death. She was a broken and quiet girl, and mostly stayed cooped up in her room at all hours. She didn't want to engage in the things she'd been involved in her before her father died, like playing the piano. In fact, before his death, she was a well-known piano prodigy. It had been her dream to play, and even at such a young age she had the attention of some of the biggest music schools in the country. But she hadn't played since that day her father died, and she never would again.

As she got older, she began to want to understand what her father had been fighting for, and what he died for. Eventually she made the decision to follow in his footsteps, wanting to become an FBI agent, just like her father. Joe, still in the FBI at that point in her life, didn't stop her, but rather, he encouraged her. She eventually went on to college and earned a degree in criminal justice, training in combat on the side, all in preparation for the FBI recruitment academy. After she received her degree she immediately went to the academy, and due to her skill, they moved her into a more specialized training program. Ultimately she went through intense conditioning and training to specialize in undercover assignments. She was put undercover for the first time at 24 years old, and her performance was stunning. After that first assignment, the FBI began moving her all over the country to bring down major crime rings. Finally she was picking up where he father had left off.

Joining the FBI was never something her father wanted for her, especially the life of being undercover. Allison was perfect for these assignments though, having no real attachments to the outside world. She was undercover for months at a time, sometimes even up to a year, depending on the assignment. Eventually, Allison learned of a deep dark secret about her father's death, one that many in the FBI purposefully kept hidden from her. Joe killed her father. She learns that Joe is actually the leader of his own illegal operation. After a crime ring has been brought down, people in the FBI who are part of Joe's operation are sent out in teams to clean out all warehouses of their inventory (drugs, weapons, tech, etc). Usually, stuff like that is booked as evidence and eventually destroyed. But Joe has made a business out of taking such inventory and selling it on the black market for a profit. He's bribed many other FBI agents into helping him carry this out, and over the years, his network has grown quite substantially. A lot of people in the FBI became rich, especially a lot of people higher up the ladder. Her father found out, and upon Joe offering her father to join him, he instead declined and threatened to report Joe. Needless to say, that is the reason why Joe killed her father. Now he's used Allison to continue his work. After she has brought a crime ring down, he's gone behind her to retrieve the inventory. Allison realizes that everything she thought she knew over the past decade and a half has been a lie. She realizes she's been deceived and used. At this point, she's been involved in undercover assignments for 6 years. She's made quite the reputation for herself in the FBI. She's one of the best at what she does, but after learning this truth, she decides to take matters into her own hands.

Allison decided to confront Joe one quiet night. The confrontation went down the same path as it had with her father. Joe offered her a position in his operation - a piece of the pie. He threatened to put her down like her did her father, if she refused, and in that moment, she lost all restraint. She put a bullet in his skull. It wasn't self-defense. While taking a life wasn't something new to her, since she'd done it numerous times while undercover, this was the first time she'd killed in cold blood. Though Allison was good enough to make it look like it was self-defense. Still, that didn't mean she avoided an investigation. A lot of people were upset, and suspicious of what happened that night between them, and upon Allison trying to tell everyone why there had been a confrontation between her and Joe to being with (aka trying to tell them about his illegal operation) she began to understand just how widespread this network was within the FBI. They couldn't convict her of murder, and had no choice but to let her go. She turned in her badge and her gun, and tried to go back to as normal of a life as possible, but with what she knew, she had to be killed. Those left in the illegal network within the FBI sent people to kill her, and after a failed attempt, Allison went into hiding, never to be seen or heard from again. That is...until she meets your character...

The Story & Your Character

It's been a year since Joe's death, and since Allison went into hiding. Those left in the FBI's illegal operation are still looking for her, though it's become quite clear to them that with how well-trained she is, they may never find her.

Before confronting Joe that night a year ago, Allison had been prepping for a new assignment that would take place in Chicago, going in undercover with a deep-rooted crime family. The FBI had essentially been working Allison up to this assignment for many years. This was a "big fish", and if Allison could have pulled this bust off, then she would truly have become a legend within the FBI. Of course, Allison's departure from the FBI forced them to replace her with another capable agent to go undercover. Still, Allison knew that Chicago was where the FBI would be next, and she knew that the last place the FBI would think to look for her was right under their own nose. So, she fled to Chicago, where she'd been living out her quiet life for the past year under a fake identity. Able to keep an eye on the FBI, and stay out of sight. Chicago being the very big city that it is, she doubted she would have any issues with running into the FBI. Only...she didn't expect to run into the person whom she had once been assigned to take down...

Since she'd been in undercover assignments at all times during her career, she'd never had a chance to spend her salary. While she had quite a lot of money saved up, she knew she couldn't live off of it for the rest of her life. For a while, certainly. But not forever. Still, in that year, things had been quiet for her, and money wasn't quite an issue, short-term. She spent most of her time reading, which had been an old hobby of hers when she was young. It was early in the afternoon, on a poor side of town where street cameras were practically nonexistent. Perfect for someone like her who wanted to stay out of sight. She was sitting at a bar, reading one of her books silently by herself in the far corner. In walks your character, the son of the crime boss, who the FBI is currently trying to take down. She instantly recognizes him. She knows exactly who she is, and as he takes his seat at the bar, Allison decides to give it a few minutes before she takes her own leave. Before she had a chance to leave, however, he starts talking to her - trying to make small talk with a beautiful woman in a bar, after the shitty day he's had. In fact, he's had a lot of shitty days recently. Things in business haven't been going too well for his family lately. Why? Because little does he realize, the FBI has already planted their undercover agent within his ranks, and the undercover agent has been there for at least a good six months. Your character has no idea that he's just days away from the FBI making a big arrest, during a potential big weapons sale he's trying to pull off. The undercover agent has no doubt been setting your character up for this sale, and setting the stage for this sale to be the big bust.

Allison tries to seem rude, clearly not wanting to engage in conversation with him there at the bar. However, just as she's standing up to leave, she notices a figure in the window reaching beneath their jacket for a gun. Your character's back being toward the window, he doesn't see it, and out of instinct, Allison reaches for your character and yanks him off of the bar stool just in time, before bullets break the large glass window and spray into the bar. It's no surprise that someone would want your character dead, since he's pretty hot shit in his profession. He has plenty of enemies to go around. But what surprises him is the woman who helps him get out of the deadly situation. He's certainly not an idiot. He can see that she's trained. He wonders who the hell she is, and even contemplates if she's a cop that was planted there. But that's impossible, since he didn't even know he would end up at this bar today, much less end up on this side of town. After they escape the bar, he starts to ask her questions, but Allison doesn't answer any of them. She simply tells him that it's best they go their separate ways, and never see one another again. They part ways that day, but after thinking on it for a couple of days, he can't stop thinking that he needs to know who this woman is. It starts to dawn on her him that she recognized him that day in the bar, and that's why she'd been rude. But he also knows she's not normal. She had to be a cop. He starts looking for her, and that means keeping all eyes and ears in his organization on the lookout for the woman who matches her description (I'll explain in the RP how he has a photo of her). Every dealer on the streets, down to every prostitute, is keep an eye out for her. Weeks later, they find her. Little does she realize, he's been keeping tabs on her, wanting to know what she does every day. Come to find out, every time she's in public, she's keeping to herself, reading another book. She seems normal, but he knows she's far from normal, and finally decides to confront her about what happened that day at the bar.

Essentially, I do plan on her telling him that she was a former undercover special agent for the FBI. I plan on her telling him a lot of things. After all, what does she have to lose? That includes her admitting that she recognized him that day at the bar because she was once being prepped to go undercover to being his family down, and how there was someone who very likely took her place, and is now undercover in his organization. He trusts her. Perhaps has some doubts, but he knows she's not a fake. There was no way she could have planned to meet him in the bar that day, and that's the one thing he continuously reminds himself about her. Upon learning all of this from her, he asks if she could help him identify the undercover agent. She doesn't want to get involved, and she further explains why. But then he offers to protect her from the FBI, if she can get him out of the current mess and expose the undercover agent. She hesitantly agrees, but she's not agreeing to anything permanent. She will help him find the undercover agent, and after that, she will decide what she wants to do. And there you have it! She has now come to the dark side.

I plan on this being a struggle for her in the beginning. She's gone from being the good guy, to running from who she thought were the good guys, now to working for who she thought was the bad guys. While the mafia scene certainly isn't all rainbows and sunshine, she actually finds this particular crime family, namely this son (your character), to be different. He protects his own, and he cares for his own. That appeals to her, in a lot of ways, because she certainly doesn't want to become just another subordinate that he could care less whether she lives or dies, which is how she felt treated while undercover, with all of the dangerous shit the FBI put her through. Long-term, I plan on these two building a hell of an empire. She's his greatest weapon, and with her at his side, he practically becomes untouchable by the feds. But that also makes her a prime target for the feds to go after. The amount of money the federal government invested in her, to make her the best, they are now watching turn against them. Of course, there will be a few obstacles along the way. First the FBI, then his father when he finds out who she is. I also have a few other ideas to keep the drama hot and heavy. But I'm all open to your ideas too.

So yeah, that's it. If you're interested, please send me a PM! I'm anxious to hear what you have in mind for your character, as far as his personality and back-story goes.

Thanks for reading!

I am resurrecting this thread! I had some bites a couples weeks back when I first posted this idea, but none of them actually got off of the ground. Seriously, people. If you're going to message me, please do so with the intention that you are actually ready to get into a story and WRITE. Both of the previous bites I had said they loved my intro, loved the story, and yet they never got around to writing their own intro. So this story never went anywhere. So frustrating, and so disappointing. I understand life happens, but after a few weeks of promising to post that day, and no post comes, I'm done with you.

On to finding a better partner for this story! Please, save me!
